Revan Quest (Star Wars)

So.. you think Malak was a match in combat for Mandalore? Or Echani General Yusanis?

yes actually I do, As I already knew both those facts it doesn't change anything in my view. After all I didn't say that Reven was a weak combatent only that Malak could match him in combat and it is my belief that he could. If we fight him in quest it will be a close fight that we have a good chance of losing. but I don't really care any more, it's clear that you won't change your views and I don't actually care if you do, so i'm done and this will be my last post on the matter unless something else brings it up.

That people aren't using the troll-side of the force by just flat out saying the fun options like 'I lost mine' disappoints me. Revan is already an end-game character. You don't have to win guys. You can have fun along the way to winning instead.

[X] I'm taking his Lightsaber. I seem to have lost mine.
[X] "Heroically" Sacrifice yourself to buy the others time to escape. Once they've left, kill Bandon. He probably has a ship you can steal.

The snark side of the Force is tempting me more and more.

(Seriously, one of the few things I regret about KOTOR... is that there were no sarcastic answer options.)

The snark side calls to me.

[X]I'm taking his Lightsaber. Energy Swords that cut through nearly anything are always useful.

I have a question...A Military force/empire (comprised of Sith fighting the full might of the Republic (even if it is post-traumatic war probs has alot of manpower....) would if given enough encouragement of evidence pledge themselves back to Revan.

Were talking about officers and soldiers who fought in the Mandalorian wars, relying that Revan would command them competently, these officers and soldiers many who turned their backs on their homes and families to fight for Revan would hold more loyalty to said person than the title of Sith Lord...?

Sure the dark jedi may follow malek in large numbers but srsly to the Standard Military forces of the Sith, the naval officers Infantry Commanders who are not force able would view them as hocus-pocus that gives them a strategic edge but would prefer someone who is tried and tested under stress and has a competent military mind, if we manage to prove ourselves as Revan in the near future, we could if done...more discreetly cut off malek or at the very least we can recapture the Star-forge (if we remember it) with any supporters we gain...?

I am going off into the deep end...

Still I always thought that the Sith Soldiers armour was AWESOME, god damn I cried when I had to trade that armour to the swoop-gang leader. QQ

Duels and Destinations

The door slides open, just as you knew it would, revealing Darth Bandon standing at the end of the corridor, perhaps fifteen meters away. You can feel the flicker of fear as Thea senses him, the hesitation turned to determination as Trask decides to throw himself at the Sith.

You don't let him. You push him back, drawing on the Force to augment the blow just a bit as you stride forward, tossing back a nonchalant "I've got this" before you seal the door, leaving you alone in the corridor with Bandon.

He advances slowly, sizing you up with a sneer. "A fool looking to go out in a blaze of glory? You cannot stop me. I will kill you, your friends, and any other Republic Scum on this ship. You-"

You cut him off by drawing your looted lightsaber- you had told Thea it would probably come in handy, after all- and Bandon stops, studying you more intently, before the sneer returns to his face.

"You are no Jedi. I do not know what weak willed fool you took that saber off of, but I am Darth Bandon! I have studied at the foot of the Dark Lord himself!"

You bite down the urge to make the obvious response to that as you tune out the rest of his monologue- it is vaguely possible someone else might be watching the security feed or something- and instead settle for an exaggerated yawn. It's a bit rude to interrupt someone while they're monologuing, but quite frankly you remember exactly how quickly Bandon went down last time.

And judging by the way the Force washes out from him, dark and angry, a near tangible wave of psychic fear that would reduce most men to a quivering wreck, he's not terribly amused at your interruption.

Naturally, you brush it off. Bandon's technique really could use some refinement. Malak may be one of the better duelists you know, but the less tangible aspects of the Force were never really his forte.

Bandon seems to tense up at that a little, having apparently finally figured out you're a force adept. After a moments thought, you decide to make use of the opening for a token redemption attempt. "So. I don't suppose I could convince you to surrender and pursue redemption?"

Bandon roars in response, an inarticulate scream of rage issuing from his throat as he charges down the hall. Which is to be expected, of course, but after so long traveling with Jedi, Bastila and Juhani in particular, it was practically reflexive, if only to keep Bastila from getting all lectury and Juhani from doing the sad eyes thing.

You dodge to the side as Bandon's saber slices into the deck plating, and parry the follow through before sending him tumbling down the corridor with a Force Push. "I take it that's a no then?"

Bandon charges again, his rage a palpable thing now, fueling his every blow, pushing you back as every blow crashes against your saber like a sledgehammer, his blows growing faster and faster as he taps deeper into his rage.

But his form is growing sloppier. He has rage and power, but no control. And as he continues his furious assault, raining blows upon you, he leaves an opening....there.

You move, twisting to the side of his thrust, leaving his saber buried a good thirty centimeters in the durasteel bulkhead. It's not enough to hold the saber in place, not by a long shot, but it slows him down, lets you dodge aside rather then parry as he tries to bring the other end of the saberstaff around, gives you the opening you need to cleave his head cleanly from his shoulders.

And just like that, it's over. Darth Bandon is dead. You study him for a moment, before deactivating his lightsaber and calling it to you. It's a well made weapon, and if nothing else one you can use for parts.

What sort of saber do you prefer fighting with, anyway?

[]Saberstaff.

After a moment's thought, you also strip him of his robes; you don't expect you'll be able to pass yourself off as Bandon, even if you do look vaguely similar, but being able to pass yourself off as a Dark Jedi might come in handy later.

Spoils collected, you head on down the corridor, moving towards the shuttle bay, all to aware of the ship shaking around you. The Endar Spire is on her last legs, and you only have a little time left to escape.

Fortunately, Bandon did have the access codes for a shuttle in his robes, and while there are a dozen Sith Troopers in the Hanger, some judicious use of Force Lightning solves that problem remarkably quickly, leaving you the cockpit of a Sith Assault shuttle, deciding where you want to go.

Where do you go from here?
[]Taris. The Blockade is not yet fully in effect, and you can likely land unopposed in the confusion. Taking off later may be more difficult, however.
[]The Leviathan. Assaulting Malak directly would likely be considered suicide if you were anyone else; as you're you, it's merely extremely difficult.
[]Somewhere else? (write-in)The Shuttle has a hyperdrive, and you could use it to leave the system, though there may be issues with refueling and resuppyling.

When in doubt, go for duel wielding!

I want to get a crew together, then attack Malak directly.

EDIT: Right getting Bastilla for now, so changing to Taris instead. Single Lightsaber because I dislike dual wielding and saberstaff don't interest me.

All my yes!

Hmmm. Decisions decisions. I'm going to go with Single Lightsaber, as the Saberstaff's sort of Bastilla's thing, and I'm not a fan of duel wielding. I've already mentioned recruiting a strike team to hit Malak, and I kinda want to see Revan fly a shuttle to very bottom of Taris and rescue Bastilla. If anyone's a bullshit pilot capable of it it would be him.

Screwing canon is go! Also which option wins for the PC's appearance? Canon Revan or Kane?
I'm assuming Kane, since apparently we look similiar to Bandon, which Canon Revan most certainly does not.

Dual lightsabers are super cool.

As for destination, I want Taris because it IS still extremely difficult for Revan to assault Malak by himself, so it'd probably be a good idea to have at least some ally to help before going to deal with Malak.

Because Malak's Jedi Force drain made him a damn tough boss.

I love dual wielding :)

We'll have a much better chance at storming the Leviathan with good help, and there's lots of that on Taris. Not getting badly injured from the escape pod crash will give us lots of time to do what we need to before Malak decides to bomb Taris into rubble. Won't even have to go through the whole thing with the Beks and Vulkars since we can just find Bastila with the Force.

[X] Tatooine. More specifically, Mos Eisley. "Mos Eisley Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious." Sounds like your kind of place! Plus, poor HK must be so lonesome all by himself with no homicides to commit and no intelligent conversation to pass the time. We should go save him from his boredom.

Head down to Taris, pick up Bastilla and at least T3 and Canderous, though the others would be nice to have as well, and then go from there, preferably straight for Malak's throat.

Alternatively, Taris > Tatooine > Malak, because then we can pick up HK first. HK best murderbot.

That said: Trask and Thea should have been able to escape and meet up with Carth. Do we want to pick them up (more meatshields allies (including a Jedi)) or do we want to leave them because they're whiny Lawful Good twits?
