IMO we do indeed have to find our people. Not contact potential unhappy Jaffa. That might be something we could do if we had Teal'c with us but without him it is pretty unlikely to lead anywhere and it is a fairly substantial risk.

EDIT: Picked the option I like best since there seems less need to vote for both. This option seems to search more ground.

More seriously the more we know about the locals before go time the safer we will be to push the button, we are still in a very bad place for intel on the soft factors of the System Lord's society.

I don't buy that these Jaffa are willing to rebel.

This didn't happen in canon and we haven't done anything to change their opinion here.

It feels like a trap for Bra'tac.
 
Mind that I'm subtly or not so subtly altering some stuff from canon, both to make the worldbuilding more coherent and to ensure that you can't rely too much on foreknowledge. Things like Daniel already having a son from Sha're and thus having somewhat different priorities from canon. Or that the Goa'uld have an actual command and government structure.
