Yes. It's not like it will break the link between us and the thing they are using to control us. It's just going to replace our vision so we aren't blind in one eye.
....I honestly don't feel that they're enough of a bond yet for us to share something like that.........can we just wait until we can get more of clue....or actually you know bond a little more beyond just one update.Yes. Uh...nothing special? What do you think making a weapon equal to a blade masters that shamanistic enchantments will do?
We can make the eye independently of whatever specialty we picked[x] Mention to Dampgear that in Stormwind we came across a kind of iron or steel Zwiehander, made by Orcs, that reacted beautifully to shamanistic fire and wind. If they want proof that we are as good or better than their own smiths we'd like the same material to work with.
-[x] Build a higher quality Zwiehander.
-[x] See if applying troll's blood potion to the socket helps your eye.
We didn't take engineering, so the 'build a new eye' thing seems way out of left field for me.

Because I don't trust her yet, and we haven't proven ourselves worth the effort it would be needed to get the stuff to make this thing.
The reason I suggested shaman first is so that they can compare what we can do to what they can do. We are basically saying, "Hey, I saw the things you guys made once, and I can recreate that. Not just recreate, but do it better." It gives them a way to categorize Wayland in something they understand. Then if we start making weird things, they are more likely to get seriously looked at rather than just thrown to the side as "Useless Human Thing."Uh...nothing special?
A warlock can use a shamanistic enchanted weapon just fine, as can any orc. Or indeed anyone at all. We'd get some approval from the elders who like the old style, but all we're demonstrating is that we're as good as their smiths of old. A Shamanistic weapon also works to full effect on humans
A Light weapon can be used by anyone EXCEPT those working with Fel powers. This makes every orc who gets it stronger except for the Warlocks. Orc society is defined by power. If Doomhammer can prove he's stronger than the warlocks(e.g. by using a weapon that turns their summoned demons to dust), his influence grows. We're also demonstrating our value by making something no Orc smith ever could.
And as a plus it does nothing special to Alliance soldiers aside from being a really good weapon.

The warlocks think we're dead. And we can't guarantee that it won't be a warlock who uses the thing, unlikely, but possible.
Sigh. You do realize light infused weapons will probably hurt them? Also they can't make those kinds of weapons. You know what it will do? Show them Shamanism is still possible.Uh...nothing special?

Focusing on the craft aspect seems to be the entire point of the quest, and one of my favorite things about it, so I definitely don't agree. Most quests have us being a warrior, there are a decent amount of quests where the main characters occasionally makes something, but there aren't many where making things is the focus. To a certain degree, I want us to focus on the war part even less than we are now, as people spend more time talking about derailing canon then the character's primary motivation. So is anyone else going to vote? Also does anyone besides me think it's sad we have stuck to the craft part so much we have neglected the war part of the setting? We really need to learn how to fight. So if we can escape we can at least survive the attempt.
What warlocks? Have you read anything lost has had to say about our situation? Gul'dan is the only one left. The warlocks think we're dead.
Doomhammer made arrangements for us to be kept alive to make weapons for him, at the cost of pissing off the warlocks when they find out.

Uh...why would you have a WARLOCK test a melee weapon?...And?
I'm not sure how that affects the validity of either point. They could just throw one into a training ring and hand him whatever the hell we made and tell him that they're testing the effectiveness of a new weapon. If it can't do anything, it would seem useless.
...Because if the Warlock wins then it must be a really good weapon.
