Putting the Craft in Warcraft

Guys, we have no idea what the strategic situation is beyond 'the Horde is hard pressed but just got a reprieve.' If we had reason to believe that Jinji was in a position to press the attack with our support, I'd say go for it, but most likely Jinji is trying to get our attention exactly because he wants to coordinate.

The enemy already knows we're here and that we have an airship. One airship. From the (I believe canon'd) omakes we have reason to believe the Scourge has air support. If we engage without support it's likely we will take damage without anything to show for it.

I can't wait till we use the Chromatic Ring. I want to see what everyone thinks about us after we've done so, :)

Probably wishful thinking, but Aspect/Dragon of Creation?

Remember how close we are to Dragonblight. I'd be somewhat surprised if they didn't have something prepared for flyers just in case there were a couple Dragons in the area or at least something for goblin Zeppelins.

[X] Send a bot with Vocorder to talk to him through your eye along with some Aid. You want ot stay in the air for rapid response.

@Lost Star about the Chromatic Ring, from what i read of it. It gains power/changes the longer it is "NOT" being worn right?
So putting on the ring is something that (1) can't be undone and (2) should be left until later unless we want to end up a Lvl 50 in a Lvl 100 end game. (example of what i mean, not what i actually mean)

Because coordination between forces is one of the things that wins wars, and readiness is another.

And bloody well make sure we don't end up spooking the Horde too much when we throw said 'bot overboard from over their heads into their army...
...
... well, how ELSE would you deploy the thing? We're staying in the air for rapid response, aren't we??

Also: First vote in this quest, but have been lurking about for a while now. Fantastic series thus far, keep up the good work!

Horde Intervention 2
While part of you wants to pursue, you are admittedly not good with matters of war on this end. So you have the airship lower down enough for the teleportation array to hit the ground. (That particular part took forever to get done right. You were almost going to have to use a rope ladder.) You step into the array and know that directly below your ship a circle has appeared. A few seconds later and you are on the ground.

Jinji runs up to you and looks at you then the ship. "I be hearin' that ship be a big thing, but I didn't believe it. You be a big help there man."

You smile. "Glad I could do it. She's a beaut ain't she?"

The troll laughs. "That she be man. I thought things were gonna be going bad. Instead we got somethin' like a chance. How much the ship good for?"

You frown and run a few calculations. "It can run fer tha rest o' the day before I need ta recharge and maintain it."

"Better than tha goblin things at least." Jinji mutters in reply and thinks. "All right, here be the deal. We got our elites on tha field handling the front lines. It's da only reason I've still got people left. Their Dead Priests pulled back when ya came in, but will be leadin' the next charge."

You frown. "We got some people up there if you need them down here. How bad is it?"

"It be bad man." Jinji doesn't look happy. "Da Drakkari went mad man. Ya don't wanna know what they did to our people guarding. About da only thing I can say is that we managed to recover the Loa from when the Drakkari ripped em apart. They be a shadow of what they were, but I take what I can get."

"Ripped them apart?" You frown and look at the battlefield. Now that the battle is over, you can see the ragged edges on more than a few of the people. "How many people are left?"

"Got my elite, a few witchdoctors, and a few hundred grunts. Got a few sappers too, but dey only got the suicide bombs left. That be around the fort." Jinji points back to the wooden fortress that is the Horde place. "The wounded and dying are being brought there. The goblins say the entire thing be going up in flames when they want it. Considering what the Drakkari be doin' to the dead, we be taking the fire."

"I saw that." You grit your teeth at the thought. "I can't carry that much out."

"We ain't got the ships ta have all us leave." Jinji shakes his head. "If you can take the Loa totems and blast em on the next charge, that be the best. This isn't the first push, and we can't risk you be dying."

"You are planning a last stand aren't you?" You look at the fortress again in that light.

"There are worse things to do, but no." The troll laughs a nasty laugh. "I'm going to be putting as many as I can cram onto the ships, and then be laying a trap. Malakk or one of the other blasphemers is going to be coming. If I get them pissed off enough I can get em right in the center of the fort."

"That's hardly better." You mutter.

"This isn't the first push." Jinji reiterates. "This isn't the first battle. You and yer people be good and powerful, but we don't know what they can do here. And I don't got da people to reinforce when they pull out their bigger guns."

You want to disagree with that really, but based on what you've heard elsewhere in Northrend, there is a good chance that there are worse things in the works. You think on the problem and look up at your ship. It's a grand thing, but it's only one peice in a very dangerous war. For a moment you finger the ring that you made. The power in it would be useful here, but you know once used it's not going to be unused.

Leon, Tyrygosa, and the nymphs would most certainly be able to delay the tides some time, and perhaps allow Jinji to evaculate more, but you would take damage. Unity isn't fragile, but it takes time to repair too.

You do come up with one thing though.

"I can hover the ship above you." You finally state. "You remember that array? Get on it and I can activate it and pull you up before the thing goes up. You are needed too."

The troll hisses. "That be risky man. They didn't have a counter ready fer the airship, but with the magic those Drakkari Dead Priests could put out it's not gonna take much to do. Plus I be certain there be other places that ya need to help too."

You smile a bit. "Hey, you're useful too. Don't forget that."

Jinji gives a laugh. "I just be a servant o' the spirits. Not much else."

[] What sort of plan do you want to do?

You don't have to be detailed here, but in this case please feel free to write in what you like. Try to keep it understandable and short though.

Current status of intervention: Horde Routs, and loses it's foothold on Northrend. Hero unit Jinji dies and immolates Scourge elite unit + Hero Unit Dead Priest (Godly empowered Drakkari priest.) Horde Elites and Veterans survive. Totems of severely damaged Loa retained. Vital information reaches Horde.

No using the Ring.

Lol! That could be actually a good idea, so long as we have enough fatigue potions to make sure we can continue to help later too. Now the question is, what singular item would be worth it? and would we even have the materials to make it.
Omnimastery is for one item.

It costs 50 Fatigue and reduces the total cost down to 1 for that single item.

Basically it's a feat that allows us to pull a "Tony Stark, in a cave, with a box of scraps."

Uh, yeah, I knew that already dude. I just didn't want to keep the extra 50 fatigue in case we need to work more to make more stuff later.
