[x] talk to Evelyn's dad
-[x] praise his skill in dad joking
-[x] Say good things about your time here and friendship with Evelyn and co.
[x] Talk to Evelyn
-[x] You've got a good dad.
[x] Talk to Arianne.
-[x] We totally should have that sleepover someday soon. This time with everyone. Sorry another weekend got messed up.
"Heya! And, uh… You're really good at making dad jokes, by the way," you say with your voice almost drawing itself to an awed whisper. The man simply beams at the praise, visibly glad to have someone to recognize such a connoisseur of such a fine art.
"Do you think-"
"Alright, stop, do not go any further!" Evelyn interferes before you can continue, practically pouncing towards you.
"Rule number one! Don't, under any circumstances, encourage them! Never! Jamais!" Evelyn moves her pinched fingers across her mouth, signalling for you to zip it.
Evelyn's dad looks like he's about to say something, but gets cut off by Evelyn throwing her a baleful stare. She looks legit terrifying like that, even if Gilles seems to find it more amusing and endearing than anything else.
"Oh, and that reminds me, where's-?" Evelyn continues, her expression softening from implicit violence to honest curiosity.
"Still at work," he answers before even hearing the rest of the question.
"They hit a particularly stubborn glitch in need of an immediate fix."
"Shucks. Good luck with that," Evelyn groans.
"Well, you know how it is," Gilles says with a shrug of his shoulders and a slight smile. He then turns back to regard the rest of you.
"But still, I hope you girls had fun and come again some time. Little Eve here doesn't really bring visitors here very often for some reason."
"...You actually wonder why that is?" Evelyn mutters.
"I don't see why we shouldn't come over more often? I certainly had fun today!" you exclaim, throwing glances back to your friends to affirm their support. You think they all agree, even if Ariane's the only one to make it noticeably visible with the very animated way she's nodding.
"Besides, it's always nice to be able to hang out with Evelyn," you continue, drawing a single, agreeing nod from the man before you.
"Hmm, I see," he says, and for a moment you think you can notice a brief sharpening in his gaze, as if for one moment he was appraising you very thoroughly. It's gone before you know it, though, and he simply offers the entire group a wide, boisterous smile.
"I'm hoping to see you again."
"Yeah!" Ariane finally butts in.
"Thank you for the pizza, by the way!" That one seems to draw more of reaction from everyone else, as they give their thanks for the free food.
"Hah, anytime!"
Though with that out of the way, the group slowly gravitates outside the house, with Evelyn following you there to see you away. So, once the door's closed behind her, you immediately turn to her.
"You have a really good dad," you say in a soft voice.
Not to mention strange. How did he even notice you without you reaching out to him?
"Yeah, he is…" she answers with a sigh.
"I just wish he wasn't so… well, embarrassing!"
"What's so wrong with that?" you ask.
"I don't know? What's so wrong with your uncle shipping you with people?" she asks back with a quirked eyebrow.
"...Touche, Evelyn, touche," you lament, and turn to throw Ariane a glance. At this point you're mostly just waiting for her pick up to arrive. No one wants to be the first one to leave, after all.
"But that reminds me… We should totally try having a sleepover sometime soon! Just some other weekend - sorry for messing that up, by the way - and with everyone there," you suggest with a bright grin
Ariane's all for it, definitely.
"Yeah! But since you were going to Tokyo this weekend… What about the one after that? Is there anything important then?"
Not that you can think of?
"I-I'm all for it?" Kishi offers. "B-but what about this weekend?"
"It's going to be a party for both weekends!" Ariane explains.
"Duh!"
