[x] That's horrible.
[x] Think about Aunt's words
-[x] You were right, they are not bad people. And Kishi was right, they are still dangerous.
-[x] There is no right answer. Keep your friends safe. Do what you believe is right and keep walking forward with no regrets.
[x] Mental note: Set your phone alarm early so that you can get in some early morning training.
[x] After dinner:
-[x] Call Ami. Say hi. Ask about tomorrows plans.
-[x] Ask about how she's doing. How was her day?
You cast your face to the side, away from your aunt's serious look. You have to bite your lip to keep your immediate feelings to bubble to surface. There is but one thought on your mind at first… It's all utterly horrible.
You don't really want to believe it. You are a Magical Girl, a fighter for hopes and dreams, born of the miracle granted to you by Mr. Kyubey. Shouldn't all Girls like you work together rather than hurt each other? Shouldn't you all be friends? It makes no sense to you to hurt each other.
But at the same time, you cannot deny it. You trust Kishi, you know she wouldn't lie about her experiences. Her fears didn't spring from nowhere. You also trust your aunt, even if she's still a horrible liar when it comes to your relationship status.
Utterly evil, you say!
Yet, she also confirmed something important too. You were right, they aren't bad people at heart. Kishi was right that they are dangerous, yes, but they aren't the monsters you fight against. They are people you need to be careful with, but among them are friends you've just not met yet.
There's no right answer for this… But you can fight to keep your friends safe. Even if it might be difficult, you can continue to do what you believe is right and walk down your path with no regrets. That much you can do at the very least.
You make a quick mental note to wake up early tomorrow while you still have the determination to actually wake up early during the weekend.
"Hmm, it's okay to talk about it, Tamiko. I know this must be difficult to take in," your aunt suddenly breaks you out of your thoughts, bringing your attention immediately back to her.
You shake your head. "No… It's fine, I understand. Just need some time to go through everything."
"Mhmm, take your time. It's better to think about things like these thoroughly rather than latch onto the first thing to pop into your mind," your aunt advises. "Now, you haven't touched your dinner while thinking kid."
The rest of the dinner passes in less serious spirits as you start loading the finer details of your trip to your aunt. She honestly does seem curious about the very minute experiences there and the way you enjoyed your day. The cheesecake you offer for dessert gets a positive grade from her, something that makes you quite gleeful.
Afterwards, you leave for your room to relax after the day while leaving your aunt to clean the dishes. With the alarm set for early morning hours, there is not too much time to spend this evening. However, there's still something you should do.
You dig up your phone and scroll down to pick Ami's number, hesitating only for a moment before pressing the call button. It takes a moment for you to hear a click from the other side, and the sound of your friend speaking up.
"Hello, this is Tsubasa Ami on the phone."
Alright, here goes nothing… "Hi Ami! It's Tamiko here! I was just calling you to check if we were still on for tomorrow? You haven't forgotten right?"
There's a moment's pause on the other side, and you swear you can hear a quiet, relieved sigh. "Oh, hiya Tamiko! Of course I haven't forgotten. How could I?"
"Ah, good to hear, I was almost worried here!" you tell her back, flopping down to sit on your bed. "But do we have a plan or anything? I'm kind of curious here?"
"Well, I was planning on dragging Yuujin and Matsuko here by any means necessary?" she notes, and not for a moment do you doubt that she's actually serious about the dragging part. "I… honestly have not thought of anything beyond that, sorry~!"
"Well, we'll figure something out, I guess?" you note. "But besides that, how are you doing there? How was your day?"
"Well, I suppose it was pretty boring and strange at the same time?" Ami says, sounding speculative. "I wasn't really allowed to leave the house, but I did give everyone a big shock by walking around without the crutches. I had to spend a while to explain that yes, I was fine and not overstretching. It's been pretty hectic when it comes to that."
There is a small pause on the other end before she continues more quietly. "...Really, thank you so much for healing that. You have no idea how much that means to me..."
"It's fine! My magic is for helping other people, after all!" you exclaim nervously, feeling flustered by the words.
"Regardless, that was very nice of you," Ami notes. "Oh, but how's your day been, Tamiko? Anything interesting?"
