I mentioned this awhile ago, but I've been thinking about writing a long omake/short series that detail a "what if" situation where Tamiko asked, "I want to know why I'm alone" for her wish and learns immediately what her sister did, but was still under its full effects.

I've been thinking that fury would darken her soul gem much more slowly than despair, and thus she might conceivably make it through the initial shock. What do you guys think about something like that?

That's pretty interesting idea.
I imagine Tamiko immediately call Kimiko and through the tears ask her why she hate her so much and half-coherently try to explain how painful this years were for her. Tami get stuff off her chest and that made her feel better...
Meanwhile Kimi understand that Tami contracted and witch-out...

Worst end. Both Higekino sisters witch out or Tamiko becomes so bitter, she actively hunts Kimiko down. Uncle finds out at least one of his nieces has disappeared, never to be seen again. Kishi eventually runs into Anna Maria and dies there. Mariko eventually contracts on her own and dies elsewhere. Arianne never tries to venture out into the sun, too terrified and eventually witches due to poor luck and high maintenance of her ghost form. Evenlyn... who knows. She might survive and she might contract without Tamiko's advice to get her to think on it more. On the other hand, depending on how Tamiko's original wish might have worked out, Evelyn might never have transferred to japan in the first place... ugh.

So I still can't get over how, by complete chance, Nervos managed to create literally the best thing we could have wished for.

Except that wouldn't be very interesting to read about. If I was going to write this, I would probably ignore Kishi, Evelyn, and Ariane completely (except for maybe mentions) because Tamiko's schedule would be thrown off, and they wouldn't be able to notice her anyways. As for hunting Kimiko down; well, I was thinking that it would occur to Tamiko and maybe she even heads down to Tokyo, but she runs into another MG and see how much stronger they are from her. She realizes that getting herself killed in a fight with her sister would be pointless and postpones it long enough for her fury to cool down a bit and she transitions into a state of numbness.

But yes, realistically speaking it would probably be worst end for everyone involved.

Chapter 2 - Travelling the Silk Road 16
[x] That's horrible.
[x] Think about Aunt's words
-[x] You were right, they are not bad people. And Kishi was right, they are still dangerous.
-[x] There is no right answer. Keep your friends safe. Do what you believe is right and keep walking forward with no regrets.
[x] Mental note: Set your phone alarm early so that you can get in some early morning training.

[x] After dinner:
-[x] Call Ami. Say hi. Ask about tomorrows plans.
-[x] Ask about how she's doing. How was her day?

You cast your face to the side, away from your aunt's serious look. You have to bite your lip to keep your immediate feelings to bubble to surface. There is but one thought on your mind at first… It's all utterly horrible.

You don't really want to believe it. You are a Magical Girl, a fighter for hopes and dreams, born of the miracle granted to you by Mr. Kyubey. Shouldn't all Girls like you work together rather than hurt each other? Shouldn't you all be friends? It makes no sense to you to hurt each other.

But at the same time, you cannot deny it. You trust Kishi, you know she wouldn't lie about her experiences. Her fears didn't spring from nowhere. You also trust your aunt, even if she's still a horrible liar when it comes to your relationship status.

Utterly evil, you say!

Yet, she also confirmed something important too. You were right, they aren't bad people at heart. Kishi was right that they are dangerous, yes, but they aren't the monsters you fight against. They are people you need to be careful with, but among them are friends you've just not met yet.

There's no right answer for this… But you can fight to keep your friends safe. Even if it might be difficult, you can continue to do what you believe is right and walk down your path with no regrets. That much you can do at the very least.

You make a quick mental note to wake up early tomorrow while you still have the determination to actually wake up early during the weekend.

"Hmm, it's okay to talk about it, Tamiko. I know this must be difficult to take in," your aunt suddenly breaks you out of your thoughts, bringing your attention immediately back to her.

You shake your head. "No… It's fine, I understand. Just need some time to go through everything."

"Mhmm, take your time. It's better to think about things like these thoroughly rather than latch onto the first thing to pop into your mind,"
your aunt advises. "Now, you haven't touched your dinner while thinking kid."

The rest of the dinner passes in less serious spirits as you start loading the finer details of your trip to your aunt. She honestly does seem curious about the very minute experiences there and the way you enjoyed your day. The cheesecake you offer for dessert gets a positive grade from her, something that makes you quite gleeful.

Afterwards, you leave for your room to relax after the day while leaving your aunt to clean the dishes. With the alarm set for early morning hours, there is not too much time to spend this evening. However, there's still something you should do.

You dig up your phone and scroll down to pick Ami's number, hesitating only for a moment before pressing the call button. It takes a moment for you to hear a click from the other side, and the sound of your friend speaking up.

"Hello, this is Tsubasa Ami on the phone."

Alright, here goes nothing… "Hi Ami! It's Tamiko here! I was just calling you to check if we were still on for tomorrow? You haven't forgotten right?"

There's a moment's pause on the other side, and you swear you can hear a quiet, relieved sigh. "Oh, hiya Tamiko! Of course I haven't forgotten. How could I?"

"Ah, good to hear, I was almost worried here!"
you tell her back, flopping down to sit on your bed. "But do we have a plan or anything? I'm kind of curious here?"

"Well, I was planning on dragging Yuujin and Matsuko here by any means necessary?"
she notes, and not for a moment do you doubt that she's actually serious about the dragging part. "I… honestly have not thought of anything beyond that, sorry~!"

"Well, we'll figure something out, I guess?"
you note. "But besides that, how are you doing there? How was your day?"

"Well, I suppose it was pretty boring and strange at the same time?"
Ami says, sounding speculative. "I wasn't really allowed to leave the house, but I did give everyone a big shock by walking around without the crutches. I had to spend a while to explain that yes, I was fine and not overstretching. It's been pretty hectic when it comes to that."

There is a small pause on the other end before she continues more quietly. "...Really, thank you so much for healing that. You have no idea how much that means to me..."

"It's fine! My magic is for helping other people, after all!"
you exclaim nervously, feeling flustered by the words.

"Regardless, that was very nice of you," Ami notes. "Oh, but how's your day been, Tamiko? Anything interesting?"

"Well, it was really fun for starters!" you gush out. "Uh, I don't remember if I mentioned this to you yesterday... but we spent the entire day touring Mitakihara with everyone!"

"Oh, you took the trip down South? How did it go?"
Ami asks you, her interest piqued by the mention.

"Just fine. We ended up visiting the Central park and the History Museum, before going shopping for the rest of the evening!" you explain, abridging your entire adventure to a few words. "Mitakihara's a really great place for a weekend trip." Aside from difficult dilemmas springing up in front of you, that is.

"Heh, I know, I sometimes go there with my parents for a shopping trip myself."

You nod to that, despite your friend not being there to see your reaction. "Yeah! But anyways, where and when should we meet up? Are you yet allowed to leave the house?"

"Hmm… I don't think my parents would be too thrilled about that… But I can handle protests just fine, don't worry."
There is a small, thoughtful pause on the other end. "Still how about we meet up at my house at around twelve or so? That's not too early, is it?"

"No, no, absolutely not!"
you rush to assure her. "Twelve is just fine… But, um, do you still live in the same place as three years ago?" You let out a nervous laugh at that. The last time you were over at her place, it was in the single house areas of the town… pretty near where Evelyn lives, now that you think about it.

"Yes, I still live there. We haven't moved," Ami answers you nigh immediately. You can't help noticing the way her voice brightens up as she goes on. Guess she's thrilled about really getting everyone there then? "Oh, but really, do you have any ideas on what to do yet?"

You shrug to yourself. "I… don't really have a plan, or ideas for that matter. Eh, I guess we'll just have to wing it!"

There is a muffled giggle on the other side. "Heh, guess that's what we'll do then! I'll be seeing you tomorrow then, Tamimoe~! Bye!"

"Yeah, good- What did you just-? No I'm not…!"
you try to shout back in protest, but Ami has already closed the call, getting the final word. You let out a pitiful, whining groan. One of these days, you'd get rid of that nickname once and for all!

But that is for later. Right now, it's time for you to get ready for bed. You close your phone and march over to your closet to get the PJs. A quick shower and a change later, you're ready for the night and the early wake up tomorrow.

However, you don't really feel like sleeping just yet. While you should rest for a busy day like tomorrow, you still have some leftover energy in you. And to spend that… Well, you can combine fun and practicality!

You move to your table and pick up the second European swords manual, the one you've covered halfway through. You might as well finish it now!

You move to your bed and open the book, thoroughly going through the rest of it over the course of the evening. It's not that thick, so you're left with several hours worth of sleep for the night once you're done reading

You set the book back on your table with a sigh and turn off the lights. You grab Fluffy from your side and bury both of you beneath your blanket. And as your consciousness fades into the world of dreams, you stare at him, and smile faintly. "I'm going to become stronger, Fluffy… For all of them… Just you watch…"

The beady eyes look back at you, and you drift to sleep, knowing that you've made the right choice.

The sound of your phone's alarm wakes you to the dawn of a new morning. With a tired groan, you pick yourself up from your bed and turn off the alarm. You briefly wonder why you even have such a thing, when it's the weekend, but that's quickly washed away by the memory of your decision.

You need to get stronger…

You turn to look at your door and your ear perks up. Based on what you can see and hear, it seems that your aunt has yet to wake up.

What do you do?

[] Wake up your aunt.

Sorry for the delay, I've just been pretty goddamn stressed lately...

[X] Make breakfast, and for Auntcle too
-[X] Eat breakfast
[X] Leave the home for training:
-[X] Leave a note for Auntcle

-[X] Use roof-hopping and jump boosts on the way to training spot
-[X] Practice your fencing
-[X] Summon and use your other swords, try to find out differences between them
-[X] Practice charging your sword with multiple low-end energy slashes
-[X] Try pushing magic into your hands (strenght/dexterity boost?)

-[X] Keep an eye on the clock

You unleash the first energy slash at the witch midway through your charge, aiming to cleave through the horse horizontally, and follow it with a hasty second slash that sends a vertical energy slash after the first one.

I'd like to try more roof hopping in combination with boosts on our way to our training spot. Might as well maximize our time. Maybe see, rather then one time boosts if we can give ourself a temporary physical or speed buff.
