[x] Talk with your friends.
-[x] Introduce Ami and Ariane to each other
[x] Go to the arcade and pick a game!
-[x] Flight simulators!
"Well, she's not exactly a new friend for me," you say and break into a wry smile at the girl.
"Ariane, meet Tsubasa Ami, an old friend of mine since elementary school." You turn around and spread out your arms to the two girls.
"And Ami? This is Ariane le Verrier. Say hi!"
Ariane wastes no time sitting around at the suggestion, but sets her seat belt loose and drags herself out of the car. Ami watches unsurely as the smaller girl hops down before her to get a closer look at the new person.
"Hmm, Ami, huh?" Ariane hums as her gaze travels up and down the other girl. You're not exactly sure why she's doing that, but she doesn't seem to find anything too objectionable about your old friend. Instead, she extends out her arm and cheerfully exclaims,
"Hello, Ami! It's nice to meet you!"
Ami slowly raises her arm to meet the greeting, and shakes Ariane's hand with a somewhat bemused smile rising to her lips.
"Likewise, miss, uh… Ariane." Ami takes a quick look at the large dark car behind Ariane.
"Do we know each other?"
'She doesn't know she was a victim of a witch, and thinks she collapsed in the middle of a jog' you hastily send a telepathic message to Ariane, predicting the girl's confusion,
'I've told her that I spotted her collapsing and called the ambulance. She knows about magic, though.'
Ariane doesn't send anything back to you, but nods at Ami. "
Not really," Ariane says,
"But I was with Tamiko and Kishi when we found you. I didn't expect to run into you so soon, though."
You can see Ami's eyes widen in surprise before her expression turns grateful and happy. She turns slightly to look at Kishi, and bows with both her and Ariane before her.
"Oh, thank you both for that! I… I didn't know even know, and…"
"I-it's fine," Kishi stutters out to interrupt the thank you and shifts her posture in mild discomfort.
"But e-everyone, shouldn't we get into the car? I-I think we are bothering our driver."
True enough, you can see the aide's lips curl up a little at the words, though she makes an honest attempt to keep up a respectable aura of professionalism. You shake your head in amusement and take a step towards the back seats of the vehicle.
"Alright, how about we get going then? There's only so much afternoon to spend, after all!"

After a rather quick trip, the aide pull the car to a nearby parking space and helps the five of you out of the vehicle. She doesn't stick with you to the gaming area, but instead stays in the arcade cafeteria to wait for you to finish.
The drive itself was a lively one, though, with Ariane constantly pushing the conversation with Ami by bombarding her with questions while also inquiring you about the arcade.
She doesn't seem to be disappointed once you step inside, not in the slightest. The flashing neon light, the fast-paced music in the background, and the amount of people already there… She is completely enthralled by the sight before her, ready to bounce at the nearest machine to try things out.
"Whoaaa~," she gasps out in delight as her gaze travels across the huge hall,
"It's so bright and amazing!"
"That's right, welcome to the kingdom of fun!" Evelyn exclaims and folds her arms on her chest,
"Now, let me lay down the rules... Number one: there are no rules, only fun! Rule number two: see the first one. Any questions?"
You giggle a little at the explanation, but tune out the rest as sweep your eyes across the area. There are many people playing there already, but nothing that would count as a rush yet. You're a bit bothered that you can't seem to find Mariko there, and immediately contact her through telepathy,
'Mariko, are you still on your way? I can't find you here.'
This time she doesn't procrastinate on her answer.
'Huh? Yeah, just give me ten minutes. I only left the house now. No need to wait, the arcade is not that difficult to navigate.'
'Alright, we'll see you later,' you say and focus back on the real world issues.
"Okay, while we wait for Mariko to come, how about we begin?" you exclaim to gather everyone's attention. There actually is a suggestion on our mind already.
"I'm going to suggest that we try the huge Fighter simulator!" You have some grudges against that one from your last attempt…
"Heh, you sure you're up to it?" Evelyn says with a smirk, and turns slightly to face the simulator room.
"Considering the last time, you might want to warm up with something, that's all."
You huff at the girl.
"Hey, I'm confident that it will go better this time. Just watch me!"
"W-we'd need to take turns though," Kishi says from the side, her expression uncertain at the suggestion.
"Ah, that's not a problem," Ariane says.
"We can just draw lots."
True enough after some confusion about the method, you end up throwing virtual dice about the order. The end result is that you, Ariane and Evelyn go in first. The line is not very long, and soon you find yourself sitting in the cockpit of the giant controller, putting on the helmet with a shaky grin. Ami and Kishi are seated to the side, curious about the event that is about to unfold.
You take a few deep breaths as the simulation flares up to life, and the screen starts displaying the airfield. Your friends are each at your sides, ready to face the enemy airplanes in a dogfight of ages. You may have screwed up the last time… But you're ready this time, you know what to do!
[Tamiko is the pilot: 3
Evelyn is the pilot: 95
Ariane is the pilot: 79]
...You were definitely not ready for this! With your hands shaking from the beginning, in spite of your efforts to calm down, you manage to mess up at the take-off by losing control and accidentally swerving to the nearest hangar. Your fighter jets goes up in a glorious explosion of fire and debris, only drowned out by the incessant laughter in the team radio from your co-pilots.
You are left groaning your frustrations out, while both of your friends shoot towards the skies with Ariane screaming in delight and unabashed joy.
Well, at least she is having fun.
But with two lives left, you're not going to give up just yet. So you readjust your helmet, straighten your ribbon, and fill yourself with determination. Your jet takes off without any major bumps this time, and you shoot through the air to reach your friends, who have already reached the combat.
You smile in triumph, and speak out to the radio with your best flat tone impression,
"Bzzzt. Alright squad! This is Gold-two to Gold-one and Gold-three. Status report!"
You can hear Ariane giggle into her microphone as Evelyn picks up the conversation in a similar deadpan tone.
"This is Gold-one to Gold-two. Enemy straight ahead, locking the missiles. What's with the delay? Another bird sitting on the glass?"
"Gold-two to Gold-one, negative. I'll have you know that I graduated at the top of the academy and know that birdies are serious business," you answer back and turn slightly to pick your weapons,
"But locking missiles…Three, two, one... Lock gained, and firing!"
You watch in glee as the human-sized missiles speed off into the skies leaving a visible trail of white smoke behind them.
"Woo-hoo! I got it!" you scream into the microphone, but take a small pause as you watch the screen and the blaring light.
"Um, what are those things coming my way?"
"Oh… Err, Gold-two?" Evelyn speaks up, obviously trying to keep herself together,
"Were those your missiles? I was warned about a lock on me, and activated, uhh… Counter-measures?"
All color is drained from your face as you realize what must have happened. Your part of the screen explodes violently, and you are left wailing into the radio as your fighter's remains rain down on the green and gorgeous world below,
"Gold-oneeeeee…!"
"Ehe he, sorry~," Evelyn sheepishly chimes to you, while Ariane just laughs gleefully at the stupidity unfolding before her, too immersed in the game to truly care.
You pout a little as your screen is thrown back to the airfield. You only have one life left, you cannot screw this one up. You just made some very human mistakes, that's all…
"Okay, Team, this is Gold-two back in action. No birdies, fluffy or metal in sight, and I'm taking off again."
"You sure about that, Gold-two? Because you never know where they might appear," Evelyn warns you teasingly.
"Trust me, I know what I'm doing!" you say and set your jet off for one last try. The third time's the charm and all that! You just have to get back to the battle.
However, you soon run into some very obvious problems. Namely, that you can't seem to find the others. The radar is totally and utterly useless, you can't make out what it's supposed to do! So you are left drifting in the air, looking for something.
But then you spot some black forms in the distance and split your face into a grin. Target acquired! So you start flying there, telling your wingmates as much,
"Alright, I'm coming in nooooow!"
Too late do you recognize that those weren't planes in the distance. Too late do you understand that you screwed up. Too late do you realize what was going on, before you scream out in terror when out of nowhere a white form of a goose slams against your cockpit's window. You are left screaming as you fall to the ground in a grand spiral that ends in a final explosion, and a message of 'GAME OVER' in giant red letters. Out of the corner of your eye, you can notice that Mariko has appeared next to Ami and Kishi to observe the game.
Next to you, both Evelyn and Ariane are laughing hard enough to have their eyes fill up with tears. You are left groaning in misery at another black stain on your track record. This did not go as planned!
And once more, you are left with the knowledge you will never, ever be a pilot...
What do you do?
