Powers Quest (Original/The Gamer) [Sort-of Hiatus]

[X] Black, spiked, evil-looking warlord armour, to provide a comedic contrast to his personality.
[X] Try to level Composition, Music by making up new tunes and whistling.

Since we're going to constantly being doing music stuff, we should modify Bob's backstory to make him a failed Bard. It wasn't that his music was bad, it just didn't fit in with the current music scene, so he was rejected from joining the guild.

Him constantly playing with instruments and singing now is because he still longs for being a Bard, even if he's to dedicated to being an Overlord right now.

Brilliant! I would vote for it

Yeah, what you really need is black, spiked, evil-looking warlord armour, to provide a comedic contrast to his personality. Something that just screams 'this is incredibly uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time'. Or for any time at all, really.
[??? roll = 74 +9 = 83 = Great success!]
In any case, while the others hunt out their own costumes, you manage to dig out a suitable suit of armour for yourself. It's made of urethane-something-or-other rather than metal, but it looks good, and you can actually move around in it, so that's nice. The spikes are real metal at least, even if they're hollow, and the helmet casts the rare, exposed areas of your face in almost complete shadow.

And most importantly, it fits! Well, once Mina helps you shove some padding into the chest area, anyway.
[????? roll = 81 = ohfuck]
"Well, I like it," you approve, giving a surprisingly graceful spin in front of a full-length mirror - it really is lightweight - and then you're half-deafened for a moment by the sound of an explosion going off outside, the entire building rattling slightly, dust shaken from the low ceiling rafters above you.

You, Mina and Mike stare at each other for a few tense seconds. No doubt the others, searching through other cramped rooms for costumes, heard it too. "What the hell was that?" Mike voices, hesitant.

"Something we shouldn't get involved in," Mina hints, edging away from the direction of the explosion - the street outside? Her suggestion is followed by another, louder explosion, rattling the theatre-group building harder, and this time accompanied by terrified screams from outside. And you feel a weird, worrying tingle -
Danger Sense levelled up! Danger Sense now lvl 6!
Oh. Okay. Not good.

[ ] Head to a room with a window and look out.
[ ] Head to the hallway and check outside the front door.
[ ] Stay where you are.
[ ] Call for the others.
[ ] Head out the back of the building and escape.
[ ] Write in.

[X] Nope
-[X] Nooope
--[X] You and the rest of the group are hiding in the least obtrusive place you can find in the building without taking very long.
---[X] Start working on the script if you're hiding for any length of time. Best not to be bored, right?

[X] Head out the back of the building and escape.
In urban environments escape is the behaviour most conductive to survival. Most dangers are local and not dedicated to pursuit.

Sadly, I don't have faith in our ability to survive a fight like this-

Wait. We're still wearing that armor, right?
...
*looks at the list of skills, specifically our Acting*
Damn it. I won't be able to forgive myself in we don't at least try this.

[X] Head out the back of the building and circle around to the front.
-[X] If the fight is over by then or things are too dangerous to involve yourself, call it a day.
-[X] If something is still happening and you see a chance to intervene... well, you have a suit of supremely villainous-looking armor, some measure of Skill at acting/bluffing, and a whole lot of craziness. Ham it up and distract the (other) villain, whoever it turns out to be, by accusing him/her of intruding on our turf.

- [X] Begin mentally composing your introductory song. First impressions are important.

Now we've got the evil overlord armour it's important we get the fundamentals down.

Namely, the timely escape.

This will be glorious... if we don't die in the process.
