This chapter reminded me of a nerd rope I ate once... I ended up spending half the day tasting purple, feeling confused about teeth and having l a deeper than normal desire for potato panzarottis covered in tomatoes sause.... Since I always want some.

For those that don't know this is a panzarottis the best way to describe it is a mozzarella stick that got a degree in Idaho. Cooked potatoes mixed fluffy and seasoned, no dairy anything, covers a stick of mozzarella cheese. This is then gets an egg wash, flower then breaded and fried.

I now feel like I ruined someones diet...can't really bring my self to care.... What was I talking about?

Um I just realized that I forgot to you know comment on the chapter in the last post... Sorry.... anyway:
I look forward to finding out how long it takes John to release the girls and for them and pebbles to cause mayhem. I foresee a lot of advice from bambam on how to deal with passionate women... Second Jessica's reaction to an entire world that runs off Adonis juice is going to be great.

Also this is a decent panzarottis recipe though I normally use mozzarella... Maybe I'll try a mix next time:

Potato Panzarotti

Potato panzarotti are delicious Italian croquettes made with potatoes, flour, bread crumbs, cheese, and parsley and fried in olive oil.

I hope this whole reality isn't just going to be John stuck fixing himself. It's becoming a rather common trope with your stories, with both John and Burns. A lot of stuff is just self fixing while flirting with girls.

I got this! No really, I fixed it this time! Promise!
Jessica blinked as she suddenly faced a massive man of confusion. "Hello Mr. Rubble! I'm Jessica Doe, this kid's older sister…"

The father blinked and hesitantly reached out to shake her hand. "Hello? Nice to uh… Meet you? Can ALL your family teleport?"

She waved that off. "Just my brother, but he's able to move other people and things about too if he isn't having issues like earlier."

The muscled man looked gobsmacked. "Well isn't that something… Oh, and you can just call me 'Bamm-Bamm', it always feels weird when people use my last name."

John grinned as his sister's new Body didn't start glowing or exploding or anything… Not that it would! Because he had FIXED it all already! Yep! "Now for the girls…"

His sister coughed. "One moment Bamm-Bamm… Hey John? Bring Grace out last, she is still adjusting stuff to make sure nothing goes wrong with you bringing us out here."

Huh? Oh wait, now he could see it. She was adjusting a dozen or so modules and reviewing all the incoming data feeds… Aww, she was so thoughtful! "No problem."

Bamm-Bamm still seemed caught off guard. "Grace?"

Jessica was adjusting her new (localized) clothing, making sure her animal skin dress looked right without showing too much. "Grace and Temptation are basically my brother's girlfr… Friends. You'll meet them soon… I know that Grace especially wants to meet your little ones like I do! They are so cute!"

Finding his footing, the man broke out into a massive smile! "Aren't they just? Though Roxy might have an issue with strangers at first, so it's best if you give the little ones time to adjust to your presence."

She glanced around. "Could you give me a tour of your garage while we wait for them to wake up then? My brother will be stuck here adjusting stuff for a while so we can't really go anywhere for a while anyways."

Bamm-Bamm chuckled. "Sure, though only this front area is for less durable people. The back rooms have rock shaping equipment and spare resources, aside from Roxy and Chip's play area."

John zoned out the rest of their small talk… Now which avatar did Temptation want to use?

[["Ooh! Go with that one!"]]

Hmm? Alright, seems simple enough to adjust for any potential energy spillage. Alter it a bit just in case to reduce the rate of transference and… Huh, which of the outfits was supposed to go with this one?

[["None of them. I mean, unless you count the body glitter and makeup."]]

John mentally sent her a look.

…It just made her perk up and start posing.

Does he have to set a dress code? A minimal coverage policy? Because he WILL, if she pushes this too far.

His demoness grumbled. [["Fine, whatever… Go with 'Tiger Temptress' dress 3033, that should look best with what I'll be working with here. It's not REAL animal skin of course, that has basically no artillery resistance at all, but the stuff looks close enough while still preventing slashing and piercing concerns to some degree."]]

You mean, for the few bits of Body the outfit actually covers. Yes?

She just waggled her eyebrows at him, but her point came across.

Fine, whatever. "Go with TT.3033 please."

[[Confirmed.]]

[["Ooh ooh! Include 'Special Effect Intro #223' with it!"]]

[[...Confirmed.]]

Suddenly the room swirled with black smoke highlighted with red lighting streaks that swifty swept into the center of the room, all eyes drawn to the shimmering effect. "Long ago in a distant land, I, TEMPTATION (The shape shifting mistress of darkness) unleashed an unspeakable sexyness upon this Realm!"

Her form began to become visible as she twirled in her new deadly looking tigress outfit! "All may bow before my…" *Bonk!*

Jessica stood over the pouting dark woman. "No."

Temptation ignored the others as she rubbed her head. "But I was just…"

Jessica held up a finger. "I said no!" She pointed towards the bundle in Bamm-Bamm's arms. "Not near the babies."

His girlfriend pouted, but his sister stood firm. "I love cosplay as much as the next woman, and Samurai Jack is an awesome show… But no smoke, smog, or magic special effects near the children."

John couldn't help but speak out a bit. "It was impressive though, Temptation! You really make that outfit work with the whole 'evil overlord' vibe!"

And with that her dissatisfaction evaporated as she blushed! "Thank you, my Master!"

Bamm-Bamm just stared for a moment… And gave a nod. "I'm going to go into the back play room and put the little one's in their crib while you all sort this… This whatever it is out. If Pebbles asks, I saw nothing and left immediately."

John stared at the man confused but Jessica gave a thumbs up. "Got it, and I'll convince her and Grace to wear something more publicly acceptable before the missus comes home."

The relief Bamm-Bamm showed was a bit shocking. "Thank you, Jessica. Good thing my little ones can sleep through an avalanche, it shouldn't take long to get them tucked and snug for a while."

Temptation huffed! "This is why I said we should have gone with the sparkly body paint and glitter, Master. If even my tame outfits can fluster people, why bother being prudish in the first place!"

The massive man decisively turned. "And I'm out. Come along, my lovelies… Let's get you somewhere soft and quieter."

John winced as Grace tried to hurry up! [["No! I haven't even gotten to see them in person yet! Sis, you doofus! DAH! Skip excess safety confirmations in the later routines!"]]

[[Confirmed.]]

Whoops, hold up! "Belay that! Safety confirmations and routine checking is VITAL to not blowing up or turning into a disco ball. Put all the skipped items back on the list."

[[Confirmed.]]

[["What!? My Lord, please!"]]

He raised an eyebrow. "The children will be there when you are done, but if something goes wrong with your new Body and you get hurt? That would break my heart."

[["...Very well, my Lord."]]

Temptation slinked her way over, with a salacious grin… "Bet you five bucks she's blushing up a storm in there now!"

[["MUTE HER!"]]

[[Confirmed.]]

Wait, what? "Grace, I don't think you can mute people outside of my Pocket…"

Temptation's smirk grew wider as she began to tease Grace more! "..."

…As she TRIED to tease Grace more. "Huh… Never mind then."

Because in the end, these new Bodies were sort of meat avatars connected to the girls safely stored in his Pocket, and Grace had taken advantage of that.

That was pretty darn impressive!

~~~Pocket System~~~
Tired but triumphant, Pebbles waltzed into her office! "Guess who got the contract!?"
…The empty office? "Everyone? Huh."
Oh, a slab! Bamm-Bamm must have left a note. "Let's see… 'The boy John accidentally melted the couch so I brought him to my garage to give him a bit of space to recover without damaging anything important…'"
She paused, and re-read the slab again. "Melted the couch?"
It didn't seem to be an attempt to hide another Roxy accident, or him being too 'firm' with his chosen seat… Oh dear, this was going to be like those odd events that seemed to happen all the time around their families, wasn't it?
She checked the next sheet, as Bamm-Bamm's hand carving was always a bit too big to efficiently take advantage of the available space… Oh good, John seems to have a way to contact his family! Pebbles had honestly been worried about that.
Good mood restored, she twirled and headed back out the office towards the bus stop. It was MUCH earlier than expected, so she'd be able to drop in and spend some quality time with the little ones while also making sure that John boy was actually doing…
She paused, and slowly backed up to look inside her office once more.
Specifically: At the 'broken' couch, which had clearly been replaced by something of FAR higher quality than the prior model.
After all, the rate at which her family went through destructible furniture was not insignificant so spending a lot on the higher quality stuff was normally off the table…
But THIS couch? She could FEEL the quality of it from here!
High quality igneous for the frame, a cushion of the finest fur she had ever seen, stuffed with something that looked too soft even from over by the exit… This thing must have cost a ton of clams!
The idea that her husband had gotten this didn't even enter her mind. Even with unlimited funding, you just couldn't FIND something of this quality, even in Hollyrock! Not without supplying the materials yourself AND hiring the custom artistic masters directly to craft it…
She slowly walked over and poked the impossible couch… And even THAT small interaction gave a feeling of comfort and relaxation.
Pebbles collected her thoughts… And gave a nod. "I'm going to ask John to melt more of my things."
Something to talk about after meeting back up with everyone.
Right, let's go to Bamm-Bamm's workshop and reunite with the babies! She needed snuggle time after putting up with all those annoying clients today!
~~~Pocket System~~~

Chip woke up when sis tried not to wake him up because she wanted to climb but they were wrapped up together.

Which was fine. Chip knew Roxy liked to climb.

Still, he was sleepy and it was warm, so he pretended not to wake up as sis slowly crawled out of their blanket, careful not to tug too hard.

The comforting distant sound of smashing rocks and crashing footsteps helped lull him to slumber, knowing his da was nearby and everything was good…

Until sis stepped on his face accidentally. Again.

She… She wasn't great at being careful or quiet or stuff, but he loved her anyway.

Wiggling under the cover, he felt someone (Mom?) tuck him back in before moving his sister away from accidentally stepping on him again… Good. Sleep time was best time.

~~~Pocket System~~~
Grace grinned as she adjusted the animal skin to better wrap up the boy. "He's just so cute!"
Temptation on the other hand… "You want to FLY Roxy!? Let's fly! WHEE!"
She ignored her sister running around holding Roxy up in the air like a pterodactyl, making sure little Chip could go back to sleep comfortably. "He really looks like Pebbles, with his hair and stuff."
Bamm-Bamm chuckled nearby. "Yeah, my baby girl got my hair and muscles but I bet you shells to rock nuts that my little boy got his mother's smarts! He's a bit quiet but he has those eyes, you know? Watching everything, he is."
Jessica was curiously poking the crib itself. "How much does this thing weigh, anyway? Solid rock like this, I mean."
The man blinked. "The crib? Nothing much, a half a ton or so I'd guess. I have to get the more sturdy ones because Roxy sometime's kicks in her sleep, and the other options were a bit too fragile."
Grace absently pulled a Crafted stuffed brontosaurus from the Pocket and tucked it in with Chip for him to snuggle with. It was bright pink for some reason, but the little one didn't seem to mind. "They're both just adorable."
The man nodded… Then hesitated. "Slightly off topic… Is your brother doing alright Jessica? He seemed to be all fixed up but now he's back to flashing colors and stuff again."
Grace giggled as she watched her Lord's sister huff. "He just got a new toy and keeps playing with it. My brother can be a little absent minded and easily distracted sometimes, just… Give him a few minutes to get used to all that and he will calm down later. If not, I can ask him to test that stuff at a more appropriate time."
Temptation ran by, baby held high! "WOO!" "Dababada!"
…They all ignored it.
Bamm-Bamm chuckled as he carefully rubbed his sleeping son's hair with a few fingers. "Well, he seems to have gotten the whole melting and decaying issue under control after going through a few spare rock wheels in the shop, so it should be fine if he wants to mess about back there with the odd glowy stuff and the color show. I was just a bit concerned since he seemed a bit annoyed by something."
Grace grinned as she leaned back, her white outfit still spotless despite everything. "My Lord may be SLIGHTLY frustrated that his new Body is still reacting oddly to this place despite having 'solved' the issue itself. He'll be fine."
The solid black woman with red highlights ran in the OTHER direction! "WOO!" "Badadada!"
…Nope, still being ignored.
The muscled husband glanced at the sundial… Which he could somehow read? Even though it was evening already and candles had been lit? Just another oddity of this world to mark down. "Well, I best go mark the garage as closed for the day to prevent any late night last minute customers. Be right back."
Once more, a woman and baby ran past! "WOO!" "Dadababada!"
Jessica couldn't help but wince at the volume. "Do you want me to get her to tone that down a bit?"
Bamm-Bamm couldn't help but laugh! "Let 'em run about for now, my little girl always has tons of extra energy! Maybe after she tires your companion a bit, she'll settle down slightly in an hour or so."
"What's all this going…" "WOO…Oh LOOKOUT!" "Ma Ba!" "EEP! Wait, Roxy!? And WHO are…" "Sorry about my grip, just ignore it. Hey, everyone don't worry, I caught us all!"
Bamm-Bamm froze halfway to the door. "Ah. My wife is back."
"Honey? ...Why is a half dressed supermodel running around with my Roxy?" "We were flying!" "Ba ma!" "...Could you please move your hand already?" "In a minute… You feel surprisingly muscular, do you work out?" "Mababa?" "Put me down." "Yes Ma'am!"
He nodded with confidence. "I have no idea how to explain or handle this situation."
Grace held up a hand. "Not it!"
Jessica stood up with a sigh. "Let me. Attempting to explain my brother's shenanigans is practically my job by this point."
Ah, yes, shenanigans.
Let us hope the issue with food comsumtion is handled, the girls will be very disappointed if they cant have the multiton glazed ribs portions.
Just imagine, theres someone eating a literal 2+ ton serving of giant glazed ribs nearby and you can not even risk to drink a glass of water.
That's probably Fred Flintstones definition of hell actually. 🤔
He nodded with confidence. "I have no idea how to explain or handle this situation."
Grace held up a hand. "Not it!"
Jessica stood up with a sigh. "Let me. Attempting to explain my brother's shenanigans is practically my job by this point."
Ah yes, Older Bam Bam has much wisdom. As for Jessica? Well, she worked for MIB, this is pretty much normal for her.
I wonder if the 'Ancient Aura' thing could explain other settings as well...
Such as in HP, older languages being used as 'magical ones'... Or how in Fate Stay the Night, how older legends have more prominence and power then newer ones...
O.O Maybe alcohol and cheese has a low level variant of this effect? Hence why aging helps to a point, but going too far ruins it?
No wonder 'Nothing is built like it used to be' is a phrase in that situation, older things HAVE to be better because they have more time to 'ripen' or whatever! Maybe.
Point of interest: I once watched a video discussing why wall designs (Fences?) in England (Europe?) used to be better than now, despite material science advancing so far. Has to do with older designs using more material, being concerned about waste water management and how it splashes and flows, covering the bits between bricks and so forth with 'toppers' and all that...
Or, you know: It's all thanks to Ancient Aura!
This is my take
Fate may not be the best example for Ancient Aura.
As the past when it was the present was "stronger"
Fate is like a post apocalyptic setting from the gods point of view where the mice have inherited the earth.
It will take a bit longer for the mice to match them.
I do think ancient aura is a cool idea
Sorry I hope that makes sense
If "Ancient Aura" applies , why would anyone ever build new things, or innovate? It would be immediately obvious that a "new" design was as good as or couldn't compete with the "old".
Maybe in a very, very limited way Ancient Aura applies, but there's quite a few issues with it. Because you don't have people going around with that boosted strength. It's not like people are younger than their counterparts after thousands of years. That's not even counting the 'incredibly stronger' people, who are strong even by Flinstones standards.
Along with the fact that it would mean that digging through the earth would get more difficult over time. (And strange situations where old tools would end up being more effective than brand new ones, made with stronger materials. Such as a tin shovel that's old enough would be stronger than a brand new steel one.) The 'too much Ancient Energy causes failures' doesn't really make sense, either, since that implies mountains could eventually entirely collapse. More than just rockslides would have.
Along with the fact that ancient artifacts are fragile. Paper, for one, never reaches a 'boosted' strength over time. Bones, I'm not aware of any 'sweet spot' where they're much stronger after sitting in the ground for long enough.
Petrified wood might count, but offhand I don't know relative strengths.
There's also a point that was made elsewhere; that older tech that was built tougher? It's not as reliable as our rose-tinted glasses have us remember. Requiring regular maintenance, more often, and being less reliable in general. It's just said maintenance was 'easier' to manage without training.
John has already noted it interacts strangely with other energy types. At best, I'd say it's a 'potential' source of initial boosting, one that isn't in every verse, but gradually decays into something else. Making it an energy type that just ends up mostly disappearing millions of years down the line, if there's even still any left. Possibly into different types, depending on conditions. With some worlds it becomes Belief, for example. That would explain some of the interaction oddities. With the Flinstones verse, since it connects to the Jetsons, it might delve into a more generic 'comedic' energy; if something is funny, it protects and strengthens. Alternatively, it flips into the 'new' being more fantastical. Which... might be able to explain why the Flintstones manage to get the modern conveniences and inventions working when they really shouldn't. A combination of the two effects 'older is more durable', and creative innovation.
I can't remember how offhand the images of a television are handled on the Flintstones side. A quick search to remind me is... that some appliances didn't have any animals providing the 'work-arounds'. Excepting a joke of 'rabbit ears' using an actual rabbit as the antenna. Guess having a setup for photograph cameras would be a bit too far of a stretch (I mean, it's not like they'd be buying a ton of 'film' just to display fragments from a very overworked bird considering framerate.) So at least some exemptions are made, it seems. Could work as a sign of the innovation side is becoming more of an influence. At least with this line of thought.
Come to think of it, the telephone system as well is more the operators are birds, rather than them parroting out voices. Almost akin to technology fulfilling the parts that the trained animals can't. With over time, Flintstones style technology advancing. Most likely due to shortages in animals. Possibly due to expansion outpacing the rate that the various animals can be brought in/new ones can arrive to fulfill demand. Retirement or disease being factors as well. Maybe famine meaning feeding all the critical infrastructure becomes vastly more difficult. Maybe they just want different jobs as well? I'm remembering a few jokes of "It's a living", or various other gripes that they don't enjoy their specific job.
In a way, the Jetsons sort of continues the 'intelligent appliance' thing, with robots/AI. Just somewhat consolidating it. I think smart houses were a thing in that setting? More than just 'robot maid', at least.
So uh, about my brother…
Pebbles felt like her head was spinning as she cuddled Chip in her lap. "So they…"
Jessica nodded. "Temptation and Grace are both born from the echoes of Legendary individuals that were incarnated into Essence Golems and reborn within an imaginary space… Then both of them Crafted organic bodies using the information gathered by a galaxy wide conquest of an entire reality."
She envied her husband, as Bamm-Bamm was in the background throwing Roxy up into the sky while she giggled… Though to be fair, it was sort of HER fault for ignoring his advice of 'Trust me, just roll with it' and insisting that she get an explanation. "I see."
She did not, in fact, see.
Jessica chuckled. "Keeping it high level: I adopted John, he saved my life, and we have been wandering home and helping out people along the way. Those two ladies were… Found? Gathered, born… Anyway, they joined along to follow him and we are just stopping by this place on our route."
Huh. "And where is this home?"
The impossible woman shrugged. "Very VERY far off. Not sure how far, but John knows the way."
Pebbles hugged her son, considering all that… "What about his home? The place he came from?"
Jessica winced. "Uh, about that… Don't bring that up. He was trapped somewhere alone for… A very long time. Might have even been created there, he isn't sure… At this point, home is basically somewhere the two of us can take care of each other."
She watched the woman shrug. "Honestly we may stop somewhere along this path, or just leave a mailbox back at my office so I can send in reports now and then. While I loved my job back home, the main point of being an Agent of MiB is to monitor, license, regulate and police extraterrestrial activity on the planet Earth…"
Planet what now?
Jessica gave a wry grin. "We were not really limited by nationality or species or all that back home in the first place, so long as we were able to act as a stabilizing force keeping our world and those that interact with it safe… Finding out that there are so many MORE Earths and similar places that really need help, and that I am able to give that help by assisting my brother along the way?"
Pebbles was sort of following along. "...You can do what you love without having to abandon your adopted family along the way."
She nodded. "Yep! I guess I'm just lucky that being a good older sister just happens to align with my career choice and personal goals."
".....abaababababaABA!" "And back UP!" "BAABAAbaabadadab…."
They both ignored her husband and the sounds of her launched daughter… like usual, she was loving it.
Still it made her heart jump with every toss, but her man was reliable and her daughter basically invulnerable.
That and, if she insisted they stop doing such activities, they might do something even more insane, like that one game of 'boulder toss' that nearly destroyed their home.
Chip used his freed hand to pat her face, bringing her back to the moment with a smile… "All that… All THAT aside, is John doing better now? He seemed VERY under the weather when we first met this morning."
Jessica chuckled. "Last I checked he figured out why he was feeling so off and is now messing with his own System to see if he could learn some neat party tricks."
Party tricks? "What do you mean?"
The woman began counting fingers. "Turning his hair into a disco ball, forming artificial markings for jokes on his skin, adjusting the rate of energy absorption so he can heat or cool off drinks with his touch, turning his vision into flashlights…"
Seeing the concern in Pebbles eyes, she chuckled. "John is fine."
Well… Well good. "Will he be able to handle solid foods? With Bamm-Bamm alone we tend to eat a lot, so I had been planning on just ordering a large amount of Bronto-Burgers and a letting John use our spare room…"
She glanced at the much larger than expected crowd. "...Now that I think about it, it may be a bit cramped for everyone to stay over at this point."
Jessica chuckled. "Don't worry about that, just have a spot for John to sleep and we will be fine. We'll just store our Bodies in…" She coughed. "We'll be fine."
Um. "If you're sure?"
The woman gave a firm nod. "Yep! We're adaptable folks, don't you worry a bit!"
Strong too, considering the attractive black skinned woman had been playing with her Roxy without care or concern about how strong the child was. "Well, if you're sure… Bamm-Bamm, we will be heading home soon… Could you go pick up dinner as I guide them over?"
"...dabbadabBADA!" "Got you, baby girl! And sure honey. You mentioned Bronto-Burgers, right? Did you also want a few Bronto-Dogs and milkshakes?"
Oh she really shouldn't, but today HAD been a bit much… "Just one of each for me, please."
Smiling at his casual nod, she stood with Chip at her hip. "Well, let's start wrangling the little ones on the way home… I don't want to wait too late because Roxy can get a bit cranky when she's sleepy, and hopefully she's tired herself out a little from playing all afternoon for the bus trip."
Jessica chuckled as she stood, stretching. "I'll go grab John and we can be on our way… And thanks again for offering a place to stay for a bit Pebbles, you are a real lifesaver."
Oh you! "It's no problem, and the little ones love you all." An hour or two of free babysitting service might be in the cards too…
Wait, her office couch! "Slightly off topic: Can you tell me a bit about the new furniture I found in my office before coming over here?"
It was probably worth more than the building itself, honestly.
The woman blinked, and then caught on. "Oh, the one John replaced?"
…Interesting. "Yes. That one. Let's talk about that a bit."
~~~Pocket System~~~

John poked one of the melting rocks. "So uh… Don't absorb too little or I turn gray, don't absorb too much or matter deconstructs into powder. And… What causes the melting?"

It had to do with attempting to find a balance or something. Like, shifting the needle between too much and too little on a small enough scale caused this sort of 'turn into a thick liquid' side issue…

But it was finicky as all hell to pull off on purpose. FAR easier to document the glowing effects, THOSE just needed some minor adjustment in the absorption configuration files!

It'd be pretty sweet though. "I'd be able to just tap a wall and have it slush away, or do that cartoon duck thing and swim through money…"

The fragment of rock half evaporated and half dripped through his fingers.

Staring at the mess in confusion, he sighed. "Eventually. After I nail this 'turn into liquid' effect and uh… Maybe track which bits come from what bobs and how to restore them after I finish messing with it all."

Because there was a difference between 'I can swim through rock' and 'I can evaporate rock', and while both were pretty impressive John had a goal this time he wanted to aim for: A general 'Swim through crap' technique.

Eventually he'd tack on some auxiliary tricks and abilities too, like being able to 'see' or sense through the stuff you swam through and letting people 'breathe' and stuff, since not everyone was as awesome as the Doe family, but for now? The basics.

How to liquify something temporarily.

John stared with focus on another stone fragment. Draw energy in, slower, faster, bounce back and forth over that imaginary fine line… Control the rate and range of oscillation… Now, slowly increase the values…

The stone began to look a bit squishy, that was almost the perfect amount to…

"Hey John!"

*BAM!*

The room filled with stone smoke, broken down to the level where it would vanish entirely without even leaving dust or particulates in a moment or two. Which was good, because otherwise this mess would NOT be good for anyone to breathe.

He just stared at his now empty hand…

Drat. "Yes sis?"

"...Did uh… Did I do that?"

Sigh. "Not really, I still have more than a little work to go on this project and it's a little…" Explody? Evaporatable? Conceptually unstable? "Temperamental. Did you need anything?"

Thankfully the gray cloud cleared up pretty quickly, letting him see his concerned sibling. "Uh yeah, we are all heading over to Pebble's place while Bamm-Bamm picks up a bunch of food for dinner… Wow, this place is wrecked."

Oops. "Don't worry, I got a scan from before I started. I'll fix it." Craft replacements and fix everything, alright?

[[Confirmed.]]

John casually wiped his hand from any remaining powder and began walking out of the… Had those bits over there always been made out of polished marble?

They must have been, right?

…A problem for a later day! "Now, you said something about food, yes? Lead onwards!"

The rest of the floor doesn't match, fix it!

[[The difference in appearance is due to the higher quality Crafting materials used during…]]

Don't care, fix it before sis notices! Just replace it all or something!

[[Confirmed.]]

With a confidant walk and hopefully a competent ability to distract, John pulled his sister back away from the room. "Between you and me, I'm like 99% POSITIVE that I won't go through a psychedelic shock if I eat something now! I made a LOT of progress since you girls came out from Pocket quarantine, let me tell you!"

His sister seemed absent minded. "Did the room just start to glow…"

NOPE! "So what kind of food are we talking about here? I'm hungry enough to eat a horse!" Wait. "A horse-a-saur? A dino-horse?" Oh dear. "Do horses even EXIST here!?"

Don't say neigh!

~~~Pocket System~~~
Roxy blinked as her da handed her back to the Empty woman who made her fly.
She reached out. Hug?
Her da smiled, kissing her forehead. "Now you be good sweetie, daddy's going to get ALL the food and be right back!"
Slightly confused but loving the smile, she smiled back. "That's my girl! Chip, you keep everyone in line, you hear? I'm putting you in charge."
Her brother sucked his fist confidently, still held by mommy who gave da a kiss as he left.
The Bright woman chuckled nearby, gently rubbing Roxy's head as she was held by the Empty woman. "She's just precious… And thankfully both of us are sturdy enough to not worry about her ability to rip rocks in half."
The Empty woman puffed up! "Roxy and me are strong as can be! Aren't we, Roxy?"
Uh. "Yaba?"
She nodded! "Yes we are! Two girls with muscles of steel and bones of stone!"
The Bright woman seemed to want to say something but then BOTH of them paused and turned to… Oh, it's the Glow man! Hi Glow man! "Ba!"
Mamma swept over and began to turn him back and forth using her free hand. "Are you alright? Don't feel a stomach ache or anything sore? No fever?"
Her brother Chip on the other hand was busy still sucking his fist, but that was important too.
UnGlow woman chuckled next to mommy and Glow man. "He's fine, he's fine, just like I told you! Though uh… ask Bamm-Bamm to double check that back room later, alright?"
The Glow man began to flicker colors again, but only those ones that you couldn't see that made Roxy's eyes tingle. "Nope! No reason to check anything! Nothing is wrong back there, and if there ever HAD been anything wrong it was fixed anyway so it doesn't count! All right? All right. NOW, what's this I hear about us and food and stuff?"
Mamma gave him that Look and he slowly slumped. "I might have melted a few things, sorry… I fixed it, so it should be fine now."
Roxy wanted to give him a pat, because she got the Look once when she broke the sitting thing too hard with the wall stuff and it was an ACCIDENT but it still sort of got broken and stuff…
Chip was lucky enough to be bounced by Momma's hip as she chuckled. "If you 'fixed' it the same way you replaced my couch I might have to PAY you for any future mistakes! In fact, I might have a few commissions I'd like to request from you later on… Now, come along. We need to wrangle these ones onto the bus and get home before my Husband wanders in carrying thousands of pounds of food."
Oh! They were going to ride the bus dino!? Eee! They were going to ride the bus dino! Chip! Chip, we're going to…
Don't start to sleep NOW, adventure is coming! Chip! "Ba!"
Yay for adventures in public transport and fast food!
But John needs to be stopped right now.
Swimming in dino dung is not a good concept to start with.
Imaggine the impooopsible conceptual consequences!
This might even cause a Muppet Babies situation since Roxy likes them!
Fear the babie spinoffs. Fear. Them.
Dino horses are kinda sorta a thing, if I did my google-fu correctly;
So, will they go to a Pawn shop? Perhaps something or somewhere for currency exchange?
What can both Pebbles and Bamm afford?
Will a thief try to steal the things fixed by John?
