If it is using Cartoon mechanics, hope it is not Toon Squad with a BasketBall game decides things. Unless it is a Foreign film. Anime. Sailor Moon or Ranma 1/2 or Inuyashua is possible.
 
...? Why do I picture John going to a place outside of a Dumpster that has a puppet yelling "Do you want to be a BIG SHOT!?!?" all to con you & steal your Heart?

But, Undertale/Deltarune is nearly as taffy as KND and Hannah Barbara Realms. So, no landing in thin latex balloon land for John there (either)

Undertale is not taffy like at all. There is a clear system of magical particles in place, and most of the taffy-like behavior is pure glamor, with a rock-solid foundation underneath it.

    • So uh, THAT John was like 130 (140?) years older than he should have been. Which was confusing the hell out of me, before I figured out that he was revisiting some prior Realms while heading somewhere else and had passed by where his younger half was moving onward.

    Downside to following a MC with full control of his Body, Mind, and Soul: He changes when he wants to, not naturally over time.

    So uh, yeah. It was NEAT, sure, but VERY confusing. Also gave me several spoilers, which is like... Not fair at all. I'm going to ignore those and hope that this is a different variant of John from a 'could have been' future timeline or whatever.

    I WANT to blame this screw up on his next stop of the trip, and I could possibly get away with it considering how important belief is there... But I'll be honest, I was just distracted and started looking at the wrong kid entirely. My bad.

    • Clearly this is what results in the timeline where the girls beg him to put a tracking chip in his everything.
     
    I can't help but imagine a John pulling a disguise like that, if he suspected being tracked over multiple worlds. Just give the wrong 'age' in the 'actual years experienced', throw in a few faked abilities that might actually be developed into real ones later. (Or something like a bluff, to imply he's stronger than he is...)

    If he did pull something like that, hopefully Ace made a bit of a note of where John went next.

    Although maybe something like that is how Ace lost track of the other characters, in the other stories he's made; they went into settings/themes he's already seen them in. Too 'same-y' to easily track, without mixing up with the earlier time. But also far enough ahead that they weren't 'there' when he looked the first time.

    I mean, Maybe Future John is 'revisiting' prior Realms, and Ace didn't spot him then.

    Of course, then it all turns out that this John is actually a fork from John, through shenanigans. They're penpals though. And it's very confusing for everyone else, for various other reasons.
     
    John met A Grandpa version of himself doing a Nostalgia Run thru places once visited and stumbled over a younger self. But...? Will he stumble over his own kids? Hopefully not a situation where he sings "I am my own Grandpa" or something similar

    • The medical center at my job got the IV in pretty quickly, and ambulance managed to stabilize my heartbeat long before we even left to go to the hospital. X-ray show no real issues with the actual heart, my blood sugar was too high of course, but they think they have a pill that will make sure my heart doesn't do this again anytime soon.

    I even managed to get back to work and ask security to help me reach my car, as I am the only one of my household that can drive... And the hospital helped here because I didn't have my phone today but they were able to contact a taxi and help me get here. Even gave me a donated quilt to use since I left my coat at work and there's so much snow right now. Lucky!

    Small adventurous aside, I think things are going better! Tomorrow's going to be a day of rest and getting my new meds, but I'll be back at work soon enough.

    Well, uh... I managed to get my car to the shop despite both breaks needing replacement? And I was able to get some financial assistance from family members when I got denied due to my credit rating, and work is letting me study for my upcoming test at home since I can't drive anywhere at the moment...

    But yeah life is kind of falling on my head recently. Always look for the bright side!
