Peril's Origin - A Magical Girl Quest [Complete]

Someone found you something useful.

As in, Crys, having made Dame of Ending a bit over a year ago, publicly shared her yet unrevealed Super Ability on the Discord server around that time. Seeing that this tidbit was remembered and brought up (I admit I forgot it was shared back then), you get it revealed on her sheet.

Graceful Degradation
-Dame of Ending must be reduced to 0 HP once for every level she has in Entropic Presence in order to perish. Combined attacks and consecutive attacks do not count towards her death timer. Each time she dies, reset her health to max and double it.
No, I have no idea how someone with Heidi's (comparatively) low damage is supposed to beat 75 health-doublings. If we're lucky, it uses CMGQ multiplier rules to go linearly (550-1100-2200-3300) instead of multiplicatively (550-1100-2200-4400-...-2e25). That's still having to kill her 75 times, so it's strong enough to fit. On the other hand, it isn't nearly as terrifying, so I doubt we'll be that lucky.

If we're really lucky, it counts as a save from death and is trumped by Sudden Death. If not, we probably will have to find some way to beat her besides raw damage.

It is a Save From Death.

Also, from what I recall, its growth ist quadratic, not linear.
It can't be quadratic. That requires two moving factors. x*y*Static number. That happens when you have boost by level in addition to the usual leveling increase, for instance. This has only one x - the number of triggers. So it's either multiplicative, like nepgear's leveling, or additive, like purge's multiplier. (Which is a multiplier, but is itself additive. 3 affinities is x6, not x8)

It can either be double the previous number each time, or it can be like purge and add the multipliers together each time. The first goes 550-1100-2200-4400-8800-17600-etc, so each is 550*2^x. The second goes 550-1100-2200-3300-4400-5500, so each is 550*2x.

(I suppose you could also increment double-triple-quadruple-quintuple, but there's no support for that method)

Also, yay, sudden death should work. We just need to land the final blow on her with Stygian Tempest...and bypass any other abilities.

EDIT:
Meant multiplicative. I mix them up from time to time.
It doubles the current max Health, not the initial value.
Okay, yeah. Definitely need to finish with Sudden Death then.

Edit: Also, Purge is multiplicative, three Affinities create a x8 damage boost
Huh. Okay, I guess that's an exception. But multipliers in general do that, as per:
It's important to note that Multipliers in the same String apply to each-other additively (lowercase "a", not to be confused with Additive Modifiers), so Multipliers of a x2 and one of x3 in the same String would result in a final Multiplier of x5, not x6. However, if the Multiplier(s) in question apply on separate strings in the same calculation, it can become self-compounding.

Huh. Okay, I guess that's an exception. But multipliers in general do that, as per:
I am well aware of the general ruling for multipliers; you will find that exact matter applying at any time Heidi shoots Argent Star at a flying opponent.

What this ruling does is prevent to separate multipliers from turning an empowered damage string into a world-ending one where they should not. So different multipliers are added together instead of being applied in sequence. Purge is a single multiplier whose size depends on the number of differing Affinities on the target, not several separate x2s.

Stygian Tempest has Sudden Death.
Sudden Death: Disables saves-from-death, as well as anything else that would make it legitimately impossible to kill the target, unless the target has the Death affinity.
Ending does not have a Death affinity. Ergo this ability shouldn't save her against Stygian Tempest.

That's a good point. Ending should be taken down with Stygian Tempest, except Tempest alone might not deal the required amount of damage - perhaps using Stygian Tempest with Arcane Slash? Possibly piling on damage using Argent Star.

[X] Plan Seek Weaknesses

[X] EXP Plan Seek Weaknesses:

We need more information, and this plan will get us at least enough to figure out what we need to be focusing on. My only concern with trying to cut Genesis' bowstring is speed - will we be able to cut it in time?

I feel a need to point out that there is also the question of whether you can cut it at all. It may not be indestructible, but I doubt it's fragile.

I think that our best bet would be to spam Arcane Slash, since trans smasher and super slayer make it pretty powerful against opponents that have a higher existence than us.

[X] Plan Talk it out (but really, someone make a battle plan in case it doesn't work out)
-[X] You probably will fight before it's all over, but the bow-wielder expresses her lack of desire to fight. So engage in conversation, have the Dames state their desired outcome and see if you cannot find common ground. After all you were intending to leave for your time soon.

Repeating my action plan.

More importantly, adding a EXP plan that gives us 12 Base APT, +3 per opponent we are fighting. That means 21 at the start of combat, this time. Also, it makes it so anyone with Sprint/Flight less than 52/53 cannot overtake us in Speed. This includes Gabriel. And makes it so Leliel literally cannot take flight in our presence. Heh.

[X] Exp Plan Close the Speed Gap (4770 exp, 1025 remaining)
-[X] Upgrade The Handle to level 33 (1770 EXP)
-[X] Upgrade Meaningless Slaughter to level 25 (3000 EXP)

If our unstoppable meets another unstoppable, then our's will cut through. The tricky thing is to disable them quickly before we get overpowered by the three of them. And yeah, now is the time to spend a lot of EXP.

I kind of want to give them a fight for their money, but I can't think of a good win-state to aim for.

I suppose I should at least add the existing battle plan to talk things out, and if I'm doing that, I may as well rewrite it a bit. It's still basically the same. I added a thing to try keeping only one in range to attack us at a time. I don't expect it to solve the whole fight, but I think it has a decent chance of sparing us an attack or two. The alternative is to try to trip them up on each other, but I don't have that much faith in that method, especially considering they presumably have a lot of practice together.

-[x] Try to act immediately if battle begins. Do not be afraid to Voyage if it is necessary to escape their first attacks.
-[x] Try Stygian Tempest against Ending, add Arcane Slash if necessary or possible.
-[x] Try cutting Genesis's bow string with Reaper's will or Stygian Tempest.
-[x] Try to target Clockwork over Genesis. When you do target Genesis, try to disable her.
-[x] Try to keep yourself in melee range of only one of them, and try to keep one between you and Genesis.
-[x] Keep cycling through your weapons to keep ahead of Degenerating Core destroying them
-[x] Aetheric Tide is a good idea to get back to positive Health should they trigger Rage against Fate
-[x] Voyage to dodge or get into range as appropriate

I am very hesitant to spend that much exp, but fair enough. I really do not like each of them having more APT even after it, so I kind of discarded adding more APT as an idea.
