6 v 6 as is tradition, I assume. With Weaver on one side and Cayde on the other.

Some clunkiness here that is resolved by replacing that comma with a semicolon and adding a comma."So this is the Tower," he said, but Weaver wasn't looking at the courtyard or spires, the kiosks or booths; instead, her eyes were glued to the floating white sphere before them that was so large it almost defied comprehension.
Missing comma there."Nice balance," Cayde commented, looking over the detail work.
First to win 4 rounds of 6v6 survival gives them more than enough time to play around and one-up each other.I just hope neither side stomps the other. Although protag bias demands I hope weaver wins I still think cayde should be able to give a good showing only to fall to an unexpected light trick that weaver came up with.
I've got names for all of Weaver's guns and lore entries for the major ones that'll be getting posted as they show up (there'll be one for Mercy soonish).
Hardly a fair fight, but they still think they can take her.
Oh god another Lord Saladin."You're all Lazy!", Weaver exclaimed at the awed onlookers. "Titan! Hunter! Warlock! Who cares!? You're all Risen. Adepts of the Light!"
She's been around just as long, so I think she's earned it.
I'm going to disagree with you here. First off, doing that would be much clunkier--those five words literally add no new information that the ellipsis doesn't already provide. Second off, conveying that information through text interrupts the flow of the dialogue a lot more than an ellipsis, emphasizing whatever information the text conveys, which could create an effect that ensou doesn't want.I'm not really a fan of the way you use an ellipsis to indicate a pause there. It's something that's done, but I don't think it's appropriate for prose like this as opposed to something like a script. I think it would be better to close the quotation and insert some narration like "She paused there, before continuing".
She looked at Kali. "Yeah, it's like having a piece of yourself missing that shouldn't be." She paused, searching for the right words. When she resumed her speech was hesitant, like someone finding their footing in uneven terrain. "I can't explain it really well. Like knowing you were supposed to be able to see, but not having your eyes, and then getting them back but having to close them so that you can't see again. Except it's deeper, a part of you."

The Reef wasn't open to outsiders at all until House of Wolves, which Cayde very much counts as.You know I'm actually somewhat confused about how Cayde doesn't know Weaver/Taylor since doesn't he already know Variks? Or was that only after the house of wolves DLC?
A challenger appears~
Nice! That looks like a beast of a hand cannon, and very fitting for Taylor's proprioception target trick. What does she rock for a secondary? A sidearm like the house of wolves quest one? She never struck me as a shotty type, except maybe the chaperone which wouldn't make sense from a story perspective.Final Mercy
"Say your prayers."
Last Rites (Intrinsic): Draws extremely fast and deals increased precision damage for three seconds.
Corkscrew Rifling: Balanced barrel. Slightly increases range and stability. Slightly increases handling speed.
High-Caliber Rounds: Shots from this weapon knock the target back farther. Slightly increases range.
Momentum Mortis: The next three rounds after a kill deal significantly increased damage.
Polymer Grip: This weapon's grip is made of lighter material. Increases handling speed.
"You know why this is happening don't you? You brought this on yourself."
She stared down, eyes hard as jade, a stark contrast to the molten gold that looked up from their place kneeling on the cold metal deck.
"You chose to cheat. To lie. To steal. To smuggle. And not just items. Not just food, or water, or other things. But people." Her voice was like vacuum-forged ice, cutting harshly. "The Queen does not abide slavery. And for that, the sentence is death."
The hammer rose.
"Do you have any last words?"
The other spoke, for the first time. "No matter how hard you try, you'll never be one of us."
"I already am."
The hammer fell.
The new update is alright, I'm in the middle of the faction rally (FWC for life!). As for the DLC I'd say to wait until they lower the prices, while it is better than Curse of Osiris that isn't a high bar to jump.Edit: also, if anyone here plays D2 what's the opinion on that new update or dlc or whatever it was? Worth? Bungie possible to trust? Bullshit too excessive? I want to still love Destiny but...
Weaver is never going to mention the time she shot her hand because she forgot she was using it rather than a bug to track a target in a melee.Nice! That looks like a beast of a hand cannon, and very fitting for Taylor's proprioception target trick.
Weaver has a lot of guns. A lot of guns. The weapons she prefers from each type of the D1 secondaries though are a Vestian Dynasty (can't beat the classics), a pretty standard shotgun named "Kindness" and fusion rifle named "The Easy Answer", and an exotic-level sniper rifle called the "Stygian Needle" that'll show up and get its own lore entry eventually.Nice! What'd you get lost on?
