I love how the whole scene is basically just guardians awkwardly trying ask if their friend can come outside to play with them, while Mara does nothing but keep a regal poker face.

In the end, though, she didn't really care. It may not compare much to her Light, but it was still hers, still a part of her as much as her Light was.

In the back of her mind rose a memory: Standing next to Lisa in those idyllic days after Echidna, when it looked like the future could only get brighter and they could do anything.

"It's you and me until the end, Taylor," the blonde said.

"No matter what happens, it'll be you and me."
Yeah... isn't this the point where things start going wrong for the Awoken in canon? Foreshadowing!

Could Taylor take control of Hive-Worms? They should be sentient, or really close and they aren't as connected to the darkness itself, like the Taken or the rumored Veil, so there shouldn't be too much ''bullshit'' in the way between her Parahuman powers and those worms, maybe even the Hive itself.

I doubt it would be useful against any bigger Hive or Wizards but Acolytes, Thralls and so on?

I kinda want the Orbiks Prime remade to not have an AI because the Wolf splicers are unable to make one for some reason, so QA halps by putting in a copy of Dragon in there instead.

Finally! Finally, they have come. They banished Crota's soul to these netherrealms, and they finally come to slay him once and for all. It has been so long since there has been anything to watch in this sea of screams.

Their confidence may be misplaced, but I do believe I hear Eris guiding them. Eris, of all people! Crota's Bane, hm? See how she wears that title! But it will not be true unless this raid ends in his final demise. So I shall watch.

Six of them descend into the pit.

Something is different about one of them. No, no, not her sigils, who cares if she swears allegiance to the Reef? Unusual, but unimportant. There is something lurking inside her, or perhaps behind her, inside that cage of amethyst embedded in her skull. Her Light burns as bright as any, yet the taste of Darkness lurks beneath the surface of reality.

Perhaps she swallowed one of the Hive's worms? I've wondered if it would be possible for others to gain the Hive's power that way, to feed on destruction as they do.

As far as I know, no one was ever mad enough to try. I certainly wasn't, for all that they named me such. And she does not seem especially mad. Peculiar.

I will watch her most of all.

A/N: Hi, Toland.

Thanks, I hate this. You nailed Toland's voice. That damn self-righteous prick is frustrating.

oh boy, time for the Crotas end raid. one of the best, in in my opinion. Fuckin A I like Weaver being part of the "finallly murder Crota's psychopathic ass" raid fireteam. I suppose the next few chapters are gonna narrate the raid (which is great) and explore how well Weaver's control of her power interact with the Hive's partially paracausal exitance.

I wonder. Is QA slowly finding other shards in the background?

And is she spreading Taylor's Light to them?

Is Taylor a baby Entity gestating in the light, in spite of the influence of Darkness?

I wonder, I wonder.

That's .......terrifying. And glorious.....
If hive are a species that's bonded with worms who feed on them, and Weaver can control complex organisms, can she control either, or none at all? Will her power let her absorb the energy from the worms since she basically has a worm shard? I wonder.....

On the same note, can Weaver hijack the Taken? Complex organisms whitewashed and corrupted by an overwhelming influence, so much that they wait for, desire and need a King to lead them....

It reminds me of a quote I heard from Calus in the Menegarie, to paraphrase "I have met what is coming from the darkness , and in the end there will be no.logic by which we win. No Sword Logic, No Bomb Logic.....just Grow Fat from Strength."

...I'm no destiny expert. But should this come to pass...what stops QA from using a Throne World as a base for the Shards? Imagine somehow breaking into the World and there's a field of crystals as far as the eye can see...and then their eyes begin to open. And suddenly the planet itself looks at you.

And you realize too late, with as terrifying as Entities are, you're in their world now, and not your own.

Stares blankly.

What.

EDIT: @nytemaren Thank you. I've wondered for a while what it looks like when I rapidly changes my rating.
I mean if she can't control the stronger creatures of darkness like hive knights it's not amazing compared to everything Light can do. The fact 70% of humanities enemies have these nifty things called guns is a big hit already to it's usefulness. That said it's certainly not useless, immunity from melee is huge and if she does manage to nab something with a gun she suddenly has a bodyblocker and another weapon.

... @ensou ? Congratulations, I think you may have given Guardians and Hive alike nightmares. A World of Darkness with a surface that shines with sunLight, all maintained by the bones of it's Master's first kill. I know it's a stretch and unlikely but the idea itself gives me chills. I might Omake this when the 3 different calamities in my life are done exploding.

"There was a fireteam that went into the Hellmouth and managed to kill his body,
How are you handling "Young Wolf does everything" situation? Because wording leads me to believe that fireteams that killed body, crystal and one that gathered now are different ones.

P.S. If you want something to tide you over to next gift from Ahamkara ensou, the are a story about Post-GM Taylor who are a leader of the Fallen and has Strong Opinions about Guardians.
