The carriage rattled its way back along the remote road. The foul-smelling and suspiciously goblin-like driver whipped the equally suspiciously goblin-like horses.
"Oi, quit it Maxy!"
The driver just lashed them again.
Don't forget Lich Thatcher.Hm, Brexit, Anglo-Dutch Wars, 100 Years War, Boris Johnson to name the obvious references. Definitely worth the wait.
Also, Albigone is way better than Brexit.
Louise's rant about Emperor Lee being tsundere to her was good too. "Iron-y" is right.
The relationship with Lee seems to be stuck in a rut, despite dating for 6 arcs in the background they're both incredibly superficial with each other and the atmosphere is still half-awkward first date half-diplomatic meeting.
The only progress slower than mutual tsunderes is when you have mutual danderes.Well, that would probably still be the case if only one of them was a Tsundere. But they both are. Progress happens on a geological scale.
Louise sniffled. "I don't know how to handle this! How do you handle someone who acts nice half the time and nasty the rest of the time? Who'd do this to someone else?"
Henrietta cleared her throat, playing with the bracelet of rat skulls around her right hand. "They want to attach giant chains to Albion and pull it north away from the continent using dragons. It's part of a great project they call 'Albigone'."
"But... why?"
"No one is entirely sure, to be honest. Cearl said that no one could really explain it to him either. Advocates would just shout 'Sovereignty!' and 'Freedom!' and talk about how everyone would be better off when they could export freely to the rest of the world."
"What rest of the world? The elves? The mysterious lands across the Great Western Ocean? The... the bears in the Northern Ice?"
"I don't know either. When pressed too hard, he said they'd just call the person a 'Staytor'."
"Maybe it's the Iron Lady again, looking to get more corpse-slaves. I never did hear what happened to her. Hard to get the latest information when you're stuck in a cage."
By all that is wretched and unholy, it lives! Woe upon us! Woe upon us all!
...I think I did that right. But yay, it lives! Also, Albigone. I laughed. Living demonic Pacman too was also great.
I'm not yet convinced that the pairing is threatened by Louise's thing with Lee, though I am rather concerned with Henrietta seeming to get worse.I'm personally still pulling for the Louise-Henrietta ship.
Though the scenes with the Lee were well done.
Fav scene was the Louise visiting her cousin and nephew though. Just so casually donestic.
So, Lee. There's two of him, right? One who gets along well with Louise on their dates and one who doesn't. One who brags about his martial exploits and one who has people who do the fighting for him.
