Darn it all! She was in this whole mess because her plan to put Athe against Baelogji had succeeded to well. It better not be
succeeded too well.

You continue to impress, Earthscorpion. I was left chuckling throughout the chapter, both for the various puns and for silly scenes such as Henrietta going axe-happy on Cattlaya. Or the minion 'kiss of life'. Looking forward to more :)

So has Henrietta succeeded to kill Cattleya or not?

Luise: Cat.. did you... kill Henrieta?
Cattleya: It was self defense, I tried to run for hour, but she wasn't stopping! And she was first to try to kill me for no reason! I tried to warn her away, but after first taste... royal blood is so tasty, no wonder all high level rituals demand royal blood to be sacrificed. Couldn't stop... Sorry... But she is still sort of OK! Not double dead! So all is fine!

Vampire!Henrietta: She was already planning to kill herself by jumping trough portal, with idea to get resurrected on your side of portal. My plan was supposed to give her good chance of resurrection actually working! Theory was all sound!

That's what home arrest/nunnery is for. The only problem arises when there are no more legitimate Good heirs, but it's a political rather than moral issue, so Karin probably cares about it much less.
Actually, it's a pretty serious issue Karina should be worried about. Louis said that there are less than 10 people between Louise and the throne. Assuming maximum numbers, that is Louise is 9th in line, that means Eleanore is 8th (not counting Cattleya as I assume being undead makes you illegitimate) and Centurion is 7th. If Karina kills Henrietta and the next 5 claimants, she becomes crown princess, and Queen Consort upon Marianne's death. That suddenly looks less like a righteous crusade against Evil rulers and more like a naked power grab. And really, given their enemies, killing even one of the claimants will probably be seen as the beginning of a power grab.

Which is why nobody's talking about murder (unless Henrietta is literally in the middle of a ritual to unleash undead plague upon the country, sold her soul to dark gods or something along those lines, in which case politics are a moot point), merely home arrest until such a point that she could repent her sinful teenage ways and come back to side of Good.

...I'm not sure monarchy works that way. If you arrest the monarch, someone needs to rule instead. In any case, even just keeping a monarch/heir under house arrest/nunnery arrest will be seen as a power grab (just done less nakedly) - certainly in our history such instances usually ended with the monarch dead or deposed, and I assume it wouldn't be too different in Halkeginia.
Also, we know Eleanore might believe in redemption, but have no proof Karina is inclined to give second chances.

That was the situation at the start of the story: Queen reigned, princess was under home arrest for being a teenager, with possibility to regain her status in the future.

Queen's death would have complicated matters, but since she's alive, the point is moot.

As for accusations of power grab, they're made difficult by Henrietta literally wearing bones. It's... hard to argue with someone trying to prevent the princess from wearing bones. It's uncouth.

As for outright murder, it's a possibility with Karin, though I think she would give the princess one chance to surrender (given in a way that couldn't be used to get tactical advantage over her, of course), then proceed with murder should it be rejected.

wait... is this an actual game/mod for overlord? Trawling the thread gave me a bunch of people making game references like this is a playable game, but I haven't seen any links or anything. If it is, can someone link to a copy of the game/mod?

I am seriously looming forward to interactions between Team Overlady and the Herpes.

Keep up the good work.

Edit: I can't just change that typo.

I gotta say that I'm not convinced that Eleanore has the upper hand at this point. ES' Louise is very heavily magic focused and the Gauntlet is thusly very much inclined to give her some more fresh Evil magic to help her out. Furthermore Louise very much has negative emotions in spades to fuel the spell given everything that has happened with her plan (having to have give a speech to the Cabal, everything going too well, generally having to spend time around Minions, Eleanore stealing her kill) , Eleanore's ultimatum generally conflicting with and rendering pointless everything Louise has done and wants to do with her overall plan (get revenge, help her princess / friend / crush), and all the personal history of Eleanore being mean to her.

Gotta say that I'm rather excited for the next update now. There are like, three different situations that I'd be more excited to see happening

Nah, it's just poster being silly and acting like it's a game. People do it in With This Ring too.

I'm going to assume that Scarron's demonic legion were always known as the Purple-Helmet Warriors and that I'd just forgotten.

Yep.
"Oh, don't sell yourself short," Gnarl commented. "You're the high prince of the Incubi and the lord of the rising tower, master of the one-eyed giants of Angarok and the purple-helmeted guardians of the V'hanemsaw depths. Your wrongdoings are rather more than minor."
You may notice Scarron's titles share a certain theme.

The highly visible, cinematic boss is down. Taken down by the real boss to show how dangerous she is.

My bet is on Catty to save our heorine from their evil sister. :p

It does say something about a family if a dark god is viewed as an beatable oponent but the own sister not. Not even while dreaming.

I don't get Angarok and V'hanemsaw. Are they just random names to place between the puns or is my english pronunciation too bad for me to get it?

It's more that "Rising Tower," "One-Eyed Giants," and "Purple-Helmeted" are all references to the physical appearance of a penis. [/ireallyreallyhopeiactuallyhadtoexplainthisbecauseitwasuncomfortabletosay]

Louise is an evil Overlady. That means that while villains can be minor bosses, for the real challenges you have to face a Hero.

... honestly, I can't remember. They're either random names I made up to sound demonic, or they're some obscure joke or reference.

Either/or.

I do hope we're not about to see you unlock the "Kinslayer" and "Meaner than Thou" achievements in one fell swoop.
