The war is over! now the Government of Georgia must decide how to navigate the first six post war months. The government must also review the Coverture case.

Reviewing Coverture ruling:
The Colonial Congress and Advisory Committee struck the Coverture statue from Georgian law during the war promising to review the case at the end of the war. Well the end of the war has arrived so now the Government must review the case and decide whether to withdraw their wartime ruling or uphold the previous ruling.

No the United States is New England, Upstate New York, Northern Pennsylvania and all the western territories North of Kentucky minus the Lower Michigan Peninsula . Everything else is part of Great Britain.

looks like it .....are they attack us when the treaty ends or when britain is not looking?

They would start with strong "suggestion" of joining the federation.

[X] Plan Post War Development
-[x] Coverture review: Uphold wartime ruling. No public discontent or objection provided enough reason to make no further changes.
-[x] Migration: The war is over! That means people need a place to restart their life, what other place is better than Georgia the peaceful land? Spread the news!
-[x] Ports: Boats are awesome; they bring trade, people, and food. Build/expand harbors to ease everything involving boats.
-[x] Crafts: There's a market for everything, but raw resources are the least profitable good we can sell. So have the government invest in processing workshops for our long term prosperity.
-[x] Land Development Office: A new office that oversees land prospecting, development, and protection. It will be slower than hiring from the market, but at least there is less chance of people running with our money.

-[x] Accounts Settled: Establish and codify the accounting and regular review of the government, it's companies, and the Georgia operations of any contractors in a clear fashion. A lack of information caused issue and not for the first time with room for more despite specific avenues being closed, thus it only makes sense that the financials of such operations be made transparent and clear henceforth.
-[x] Crafts: Raw goods are the least profitable of goods for sale, plan the development of workshops and factories that goods may be processed into crafts and other refined goods. Just as well that this be codified for future development plans with the colony
-[x] Land Development Office: A new office that oversees land prospecting, development, and protection. It is essential that the lands be developed and surveyed as best as possible to allow for the most efficient, fastest growing, and most robust people and economies for Georgia with development maintaining the ideals of the colony

I felt some wordings needed change as the proposed LDO should be focused on the qualities of the colony and the boons it may bring rather than its replacement of independant contractors that never existed. Same as with crafts as rather than simply craft workshops I felt that factories and workshops in greater were in order. I also wanted wording there that implied greater plans for the future.

Aside from that I swapped out the european immigration as I wish to see how well the colony handles the flood of war refugees from across the empire before we start inviting in more. I do wish to do this next turn though rather than focusing blanket on europe I want to specifically seek peoples who will track well with the colony and ideals the world over as well as maybe doing proto humanitarian bringing in refugees and persecuted peoples after that if we're still not reaching peak immigration by that point.

In place of that since I elected to choose to codify accounting and audits so that we don't have to worry about excessive and failed expenses like this in the future as while this is not the first time we've seen issues on the topic I hope it should be among the last.

Just note that i swapped out the other migration action for port expansion. I intentionally worded the actions to have reduced government control, since communication technology of this time is too poor for direct management.

I might be wrong, but didn't Britain intentionally try to hamper the establishment of manufacturing industries within the colonies to prevent them from competing with the mainland's industry?

Iirc it was more a tariff and trade thing that iirc happened to the other colonies while we got exemptions for being a good boy.

We're pretty well suited to direct management and have had a pretty good track record with being rather involved so far. Perhaps growth may change that but I think the ideal of the colony and thus the logical path of development will lend itself rather well to a more involved and centralized government.

Remember, we're an individual colony not the entire colonies/usa so we avoid most of the major logistic issues and geographic borders by not being physically large enough for the worst of the former and the latter being our borders.

Of course this isbsokethkng we should keep an eye on though if expansion causes issue we may want to make a messenger system first before we start taking our hands away from management as to my understanding the plans for the Georgia colony were rather specific and hands on compared to... well literally everything else.

As for ports, smart, I'd think to do so next turn as we shouldn't really have need of them yet but building quality ports should draw trade and keep it from bottlenecking us in the future when we've grown large enough that we'd have proper justification for ports.

Speaking of ports and factories, we should probably look into shipyards to go with those ports. We're pretty decently situated geographically if I understand right. It may make sense to invest heavily in shipbuilding to produce a disproportionally large income and do our contribution to the crown so they give us goodies and treat us nice.

Also pay off our debts, have we done that yet I can't remember? I really wonder if we're a profiting and solvent.

we should maybe ask for Great Britain to send over some veterans that we can give them free land. This way we get trained soldiers and more migration.

Vote closed Postwar development wins. Not going to roll for wartime ruling since the public has accepted it.

May to November, 1777 Results
Georgia's population rises to 6,500
Over the course of six months a well executed newspaper and add campaign leads to five hundred people moving to Georgia. Most of them end up settling along the coast to take advantage of opportunities in Savannah Georgia's largest city. But New Inverness and Augusta receive immigrants as well.

Trade booming in Georgia:
Trade is booming all across the British colonies and Georgia is no exception. Savannah and New Inverness had both had their ports and docks expanded and Augusta is now thriving as a layover city between the Cherokee Autonomous Region and the city of Savannah. The three cities of Georgia are growing at a rapid (for Georgia) pace with all three having received over one hundred immigrants.

Workshops in Savannah:
Around three Workshops for processing raw materials and making finished goods have been set up in Savannah. They are so far making clothes out of the cotton and making dye out of indigo.

New executive office set up:
A new executive office called the Bureau of Land Affairs has been set up in Maryburg making them the first part of the government to move to Marburg. Their job is to oversee land prospecting, development, and protection within the Province of Georgia.

Maryburg nearly finished:
The small town of Maryburg population two hundred and thirty is nearly ready for the government to take up residence. One part of the Government the Bureau of Land Affairs already now resides in the city. The Capitol Building is nearly complete and should be ready for the government within a few months.

Troublemakers in custody of the Cherokee:
A group of ten men unhappy with the peace deal Georgia has with the Cherokee and Creek decided to do something about it. They snuck into the Cherokee Autonomous Region during the dead of night and tried to burn down the Cherokee capitol Echota. Luckily they were caught and are now in the custody of the Cherokee government but this has also raised the question of what is to happen to these men?

let the Cherokee deal with them, is there town they try to burn down

November, 1777 to May, 1778
The government of Georgia is once again gathered in the Savannah Public Library to chart the path Georgia will take these next six months currently their is one mandatory action to deal with.

Echota almost burned!:
The Cherokee Autonomous Region's Capitol Echota was almost burned down a couple weeks ago by ten men who snuck over the border from Georgia. These men were apparently unsatisfied with the peace treaty angry about the two tribes kept the best land and buying into the propaganda the American Indians are lesser beings and don't have souls. The ten criminals were caught and have been held in the custody of the Cherokee ever since. Attempting to find some way to not be hanged as criminals the ten men have officially claimed that since their citizens of the Province of Georgia that the Cherokee have no right to try them. As this incident has progressed word has come out of Okmulgee the Creek capitol that they are willing to hold the trial as a neutral arbitrator. How will the Georgian Government solve this incident.

I think we should make a right and proper extradition treaty for crimes committed in their lands and on their people but try to negotiate they these specific men may be tried and hung in our courts before the ratification but after the signing of the accord with Creek oversight throughout. Also form similar treaties with the Creek and other allies.
