I am pretty sure Zelda would have copied any maps onto the slate when she was in the Sheikah village.

I wonder if the people really bought that she was singing in that language, or if they're just bullshitting to keep her safe...

I still don't see what much is to be gained in the library: knowledge about the Lanaryu region can be learned by the stabled we come across and wether the zoras may help us or not won't change from what the library's books say. Also we're leaving today as we don't have any money left for another night and we shouldn't stay at Castle Town longer than necessary anyway.

Edit: we don't even need a map, the sheikah slate works for that
It just occurred to me a few minutes ago that we don't need to go the library after all. Zelda would have gone to Zora's domain with her parents on business a few times. So she would know enough about the area from picking things up from the guards and from other sources either at the castle or at the Domain.
She hasn't been there in eight years. Let's just say there are quite a few things she's unaware of.

Well that changes things and I have pretty good idea what some of them are. so yea we do need to go to the library.

Please note that I wasn't basing my argument on what Zelda did (or didn't) know from before. I expect that, in broad strokes we'll manage to get enough info about the zoras when visiting the stables on the way to Zora's Domain.

Then again now I'm arguing against the GM which is a foolish thing to do at the best of times :V ... and it isn't like my chosen option is ahead anyways :V :V

By the way, do we have a nail clipper? Actually how do they cut nails in Hyrule? Does that tool exist?

It just occurred to me but did Link and Zelda earn any Rupees from their little concert? If they didn't than at least the audience was entertained but if they did than all the better no matter how much or how little we earned because every little bit counts.

Link had a small pair of scissors, and Hyrule plays a bit fast and loose with the supposed technology level they're at thanks to the availability of magic. Personal hygiene also does exist, or at least the general idea of it. Depending on the education level they have an understanding of germ theory. Miasma theory, which existed long before Link and Zelda were born, was rather brutally discredited and its proponents well... removed from any scientific body.

However, in recent years more religion-based theories of the world have started to gain popularity, which some find odd considering some of the supposedly overturned theories were supported by servants of the old gods, such as great fairies.

Edit:
Do you mean the Silent Princesses or what happened during the concert?
If those are the only two things you can think of you might want to give it another read through. :V

[X] Go to Library
Link finally gets a real chance to learn how to use the Sheikah Slate. Soon he too shall be addicted to its glow...
"....Are you on your Sheikah Slate?"

"...."

"Zelda I can see the glow!!"
Getting a single room was totally worth it just for that scene. And for the confirmation that the two of them slept together as children.

An incentive to go to the library: we will see Zelda incredibly bored due to sitting in the room for hours without the Slate to distract her.

Immortalsblade you never answered my question about the play that Link and Zelda held. Did they earn any Rupees for it.

Update notes:

Yay we've got stuff.

Zelda can't help but radiate nobility. Hints keep being dropped that something happened to her that led to her seemingly mingling the girl you knew as a kid with the myth / legend about Zeldas of the past. Aaaaat least she does that in public. In private she's still the goofy girl.

Music-as-magic is a common theme throughout Zelda. It's why the joke is that Link is a bard. Generally capable in a wide variety of skills with the ability to do music stuff. Again, she radiates the nobility. Something about the...duh, the Triforce of Wisdom. It's showing itself. Possibly the one Triforce is calling to the other.

She sang the song in Old Hylian. She sang a song in a language almost nobody would know. And when she realizes there's trouble, the first thing she thinks is "this could have bad consequences for you."

The people either think it's Faron or they recognize her and conjure up their own bluff and give it to her to go along with.

Aaaaand she slips and pins you to the bed. Maybe next time it'll be intentional :V.

She offers to share the bed. How nice. She remembers sleeping together as kids, so it's not like this one's been replaced by the Triforce-based Body Snatchers.

Aaaaand then the scene where they really don't click all that well at first.

Note to self: cut toenails. Ew.

"Oh my, had a restless night you two~?"

Never tell Ganondorf. We'd never live this down.

Zora Princess. Zelda? I'm afraid we've probably got some bad news.

The Silent Princesses thing seems like a massive trap. Got trap written all over it. Academy or the merc hideouts before heading out seems like the best call.

Or, they recognized her because of that, and are lying to us in order to keep us off guard while they go through the red tape required to call the appropriate type of FBI guards.

Paranoia about that possibility is one of the reasons I'm voting to leave early :V

True.

Wait? Did something happen to the Zora princess that I missed?

Maybe it is or maybe it isn't and is actually a sign from the goddesses announcing Zelda's presence since she did just sing the Ballad of the Goddess.

Considering who this Zelda is, the Zora princess in question would be Mipha, who's probably dead.

And if Mipha isn't dead, then we've probably got a serious Love Triangle on our hands down the road.
This Link doesn't know anyone from the Zora realms.

The Zelda here is not the one from BOTW; this one is half-Sheikah while the BOTW one was not.
