Now, Henry. There is a time and place for everything.
Telling your wife who is now a mother that you are going on what everyone in Halkegenia would call a Suicide Mission?
The first few weeks of motherhood aren't the time for that, Henry!
For Pete's sake, she could have postpartum depression, or- more likely- she's worried about raising her child as a single parent. You know, like how she turned out? She knows shes a mess, though she won't admit it, and has the fear common to all parents about screwing up. The only difference is that if she screws up with her son, then we've got a tyrant in possession of the largest army in Halkegenia, and half of the Brimiric Kingdoms.
(sighs)
Henry, you have to realize that you are probably the light in Isabella's life, the rock she clings to, her unerring support. She willingly immersed herself in darkness to further strengthen your light, your ideals, and allow your dreams and goals come to fruition. If you die, where would she be?
She would be adrift, scared, confused, and paranoid. Without her stalwart King at her side, keeping her and her child safe, she would either be jumping at the shadows, or having assassins murdering any and everyone who looks at her and her son funny.
Just... Ugh. Come on, Henry. I'm aware you have a plan, and as a reader, I expect that plan to be executed regardless of what shenanigans occur in-story. But show some tact, man.
