It's funny how, at the start, everyone was going 'AAAANGST', and now everyone's unironically saying 'Shade is Fluff, Shade is Love.'
(Shank a bitch)
Personal opnion but his fate fic was such a Edgelord Showtime that well I didn't finish the first route, just washed my hands and fucked off without commenting on anything

Even Reaper (Overwatch) was less fucking edgy

Somehow I get the feeling that if Henry is ever confronted by a popular rebellion he'd say, "Okay. I give up the crown. What's your plan for governance?"

"What?"

"Like what are you going to replace the monarchy with? Are you just going to let people run wild with no law?"

"Well... we havent really gotten that far ye-"

"No no no. That wont do. Now pen, paper, what is your first goal..."

One thing leads to another and suddenly a plan of transition to constitutional monarchy is laid out.

Also: You see, Isabella? You see the dangers of attempting to keep your husband solely as arm candy!?

Hahaha, that sounds like a very funny alternate ending or omake if expanded... Definitely something Henry would do.

The first necessity goods were stuff that commoners needed, stuff that she, herself, had never even heard of. To her, wood was meant to be sculpted, definitely not sold by the tone worked to resist bitingly cold temperatures, or altered magically to burn hotter and longer. She was used to scented candles, made from royal bee wax. What did she know of bulk selling of candles to light the dreary nights?

Her court will push to get Henry back to being a Field Marshal. After all with his actions they make much less money since he will be so interested in financial matters.

When the bird infringes on the domain of the fish to swim, why is he surprised that the fish leaps out to fly?"

You took away my baton.

Now watch as I bring a hefty dose of welfare state into your court.

To arms, comrades of the revolution!
A man needs a hobby. And while Hennrys hobby of plotting and using magic in heretical ways to build his dwarf fortress's and Protoype Vault has born fruit, he has also moved past them and had grown to be an adult.

Give him his damn army back and let him play and plan out his RL civ game and you can go back to ruling as you wish...or else... but who knows, maybe uplifting society or perhaps redesigning the city to wothstand falling continent and ascending mountains could occupy his time.

So Isabella, give him his damn baton back, or else.

Also am I the only one whos thinking that Isabella blew off the tradition of the pope crowning her? If so good on her.

And @shadenight123 , you spoil us but... can we be spoiled more?

Watch out, Isabella! Shade is an Italian. He knows exactly how to buy temporary goodwill with Bread & Circuses. Why, he might even get it to last a few generations before kindness from a ruler is treated as the new normal!

Isabella took her notoriously kind and generous husband and plonked him somewhere he could be kind and generous on an even more massive scale.

And did I hear it right that Albion is now being ruled by members of Henry's army? As in, the people who are fanatically loyal to Henry above all?

Henry's plan won't work. Isabella is willing to indulge Henry to a degree, but she definitely won't allow him to be killed, and that chance rises exponentially if she lets him lead an army. Especially since he insists on leading from the front.

Since nobody else is doing it:

"Henrietta-chan's TragicalMagical Adventures in Leadership!
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGHHH! ASDFG!!!!!! WRYYYYYYYYY!?" Screamed Henrietta internally, as she once again was thwarted by Prince Henry.

"Is this like the way little boys would pull on the hair of the girls they like? Does Henry secretly want me as his waifu?" Thought Henrietta to herself as whatever sanity she had left was shed along with the tears for her dearly departed Wales.

Wow, Isabella is hilariously out of touch with her own kingdom. To use CKII terms, she has great Intrigue and Diplomacy, but not the best Stewardship. In contrast, Henry has great Martial and Stewardship.

She and Henry are an incredible team, able to cover each other's weaknesses, but Isabella is really pushing for Henry to be a trophy husband and comply with her every wish just like her subjects.

She also seems to be convinced that her child will be a boy... Maybe I'm reading into this too much, but I'm starting to get the impression that Isabella would really prefer a boy because he'd be a mini Henry for her to control-- I mean smother with affection. That's a little creepy.

They've been married for years, she should know by now that flat denying Henry from something doesn't work. Obviously the answer is counter trolling.

After realizing money CAN buy her love from the masses, Isabella's heart grows three sizes and she also starts spending money on charity. But wait, if there's two black holes in the bottom of the treasury where's all that money going to come from?

Well, now that Gallia's not preparing for major war and the Albion campaign ended in peaceful annexation instead of whitewashed conquering... There's really no need to keep expanding the military. Maintain it, sure, but the bottomless budget it had for research and such under Marshal Henry is no longer necessary. Henry clearly agrees that the priority should be on aid now.

The military can tighten its belt a bit for the sake of starving war orphans, right?

I'm sorry @MinorGryph, I know there's a good point in your plan, but all I can't think of is you being all Tsun-Tsun when it comes to seeing Henry accomplish anything.

The Civil war in Albion fucked up a lot of things what he did in the Chapter was cap the price merchants can charge in Albion.
War torn and ravaged as it is to generate goodwill to their new subjects instead of starving them due to inflated prices on foodstuffs and having to put down insurrection due to starvation.

It's true. Which is why the tsundere in this conversation... is clearly YOU @VortexRyder !

Hiding a compliment to another poster behind an ad honenimum is textbook tsun. I will treasure the knowledge that you pictured me as a beloved anime waifu archetype.

Or it can turn itself into the salvation army.

Thats kinda what I figured it was.

So Albion has a massive demand but no supply and Henry as such is essentially covering the inflation and shipping costs to equalize the price with mainland Gallia.

What a way to endeer your new citizens to your rule.
