Matter of Faith (BTVS / OC)

[X] "So you wanna get to the real fun, huh? Can't say I blame you, but I do have a boyfriend..."

So here's what's changed:
Faith - Brunette girl. Considered the hottest in the school. Now a disciple of the Herald of War. Will support you in several ways.
  • Currently uses a holy longsword. +41 [30+11], 6 damage, 75+ rolls will dust vampires. 75+ rolls will also deal double damage
  • HP 20 [8+6]+6 armor. MP: 6
  • Your continued work with her has allowed you both to anticipate each other's movement. When you hit, she also can roll to hit once per combat.
  • Call To Arms: Can sense when you're in combat, and where you are when this happens.
  • Made of Steel: Cannot be shaken, damaged, or otherwise swayed mentally. May reinforce other's beliefs and values.
  • Inquisition: Able to question and verify subjects, and get them to talk about themselves and their issues, far more readily than normal
  • Enhancements: Can see in the dark, ignore extreme temperatures, and identify when magic is in use.
  • Grace and Beauty: Given by the herald of Beauty. In war, you can become unmatched. Takes 4 MP. Gives +40 to all combat rolls for a combat. Allows the use of every weapon. Charisma hinders enemies while active.
She has her own holy weapon, that is also damned accurate (a +41 is better than ours), which also has a 1/4 chance of dealing double damage (12 instead of 6).

Faith is also massively tougher, mentally and she can also take more punishment (we might want to train with her after this, see if she can't wear some heavier armor).
She can also question others, which we just saw some proof of.
We've also seen her use Enhancements, as she could see the magic.
The only thing we haven't seen... is Grace and Beauty.

Not sure we want to so blatantly show supernatural power, though.
That might convince them someone actively fucked this up, unless Dionysos just does the standard greek thing and kill the ones who set this up.

Grace and Beauty gives +40 to combat rolls (to a base of +41). She only needs 75+ to autodust vampires/deal double damage, meaning she will get that every single time. THat is awesome.

So what's the plan, everyone?

Yep.
We were told she would be excellent at buffing, and quite clearly she is.

...If we could figure out a way to restore her MP, that'd be something we could run around with for all fights.

If it weren't for the whole "we can raise the dead to true life at will" thing we have going, I'd be so jealous right now. On the same token, I'm happy that the side of good has just gotten that much stronger.

Hmm, Shouldn't Faith be really good at social now shouldn't she? Wonder if we can get Faith to Therapy no Jutsu him or something.

Conflict should be our last alternative though since we're probably not allowed to kill him, since that makes everything complicated. And fighting him without killing means he can remember us.

Too bad Faith couldn't pretend to be drunk and kind of stumbled all over the cup though before the guy got here.

He's evil, wants to sacrifice people, I want him dead.
However, we could probably trick him, as Faith is indeed supposed to be supernaturally good at charisma.

So Faith got a massive boost in power which definitely equals her self-esteem at the moment, has a boyfriend who has all those girls dancing around him.
If they get out of this alive, she's going to jump Astral, isn't she?

Are you really so keen on killing him? I thought the whole plan was to subtly sabotage the ritual to make them think that it doesn't work? Or at least have Dionysus kill him, so that we won't get problems with the police?

1.) I'm going to get outvoted on this, but they should get married first. :V Muh morals.

2.) Actually, the plan was to get Dionysus insulted enough to curse these guys instead of blessing them through the "corruption" of the ritual by the introduction of the champion of another god; specifically Astral.

People keep forgetting the plan. Stahp.

Given Astral, he might just do that. He does like to play hard to get, after all:D

Faith is on her own, I take it? I guess Astral won't come helping, since he's got no clue and that might just trigger the maenad-reaction.
And while I would love her to pull out her holy sword (which, by the way, is goddamn cool, forget what I wrote about Faith being a slayer), I'd rather not engage him there in combat.
No railings make it easy for him to fall and then you get to deal with the police.

[X] Socially manipulate this guy into fucking up in a way that won't screw over your sides plan
-[X] At the first sign of real trouble, put him out of commission.

Should've been clearer - I think the best way for this to end is with this group dead (though I'd also accept being cursed forever in a way that won't come back to screw us), so Dionysos killing him is all according to plan.

Well I'm willing to change my vote, what would you put up there.

Oh, no, I meant the general plan that we entered the place with. That plan. I've got no clue what we should be doing right now, but people keep forgetting what, specifically, we came here to do.
...Mm, what do you think of just having Faith use her charisma to put this guy off balance, and then head off?

Anyway, anyone else have any ideas?

So congrats to Lost Star, this thread is over 100 pages!

Edit
Anywaaay, anyone else care to vote?

[X] Punch him in the throat. And the balls.

Don't see how you want to socially manipulate someone already attacking you. Calling for Astral might just trigger the maenad-madness and seriously fighting him might kill him.
So let's go for quick incapacitating.
