MakeAmericaSaneAgain. A 2016 political campaign.

The fact that George is stupidly popular with celebs brings me no end of joy. Because the set up of actual positive press should be good for us long term.

Especially given that we mostly focus on constructive politics. Though it's so weird remembering these are actual people we have off the rails harder then a train conducted by ozie.

I have a fealing that we personally will subscribe to the President Garrison position of these protesters.

Actually, if we really want to stir up trouble than I have just one word, Berkeley.

Violation of Rule 2: "Don't be hateful"
SJWs.

[Nope. -foamy]

I had one unpleasant encounter with a stupid bitch who thought I was a racist reactionary because I had thought myself as a Filipino first instead of Asian!

What the hell?

Peter is definitely on the trail to having a heart attack at some point.

At the very least, this vacation should serve as some much needed stress relief.

Ok guys, calm the vitriol.

Social Justice covers a looot of stuff and I think we can all agree these ones were stupid(pretty much functional straw men honestly) and that's ok. Because they are serving a narrative role of being super-mooks, except in politics.

Just @bryanfran36 thats just a tad bit way the fuck too far. We're a civilized forum and even if people are jerks calling for their deaths is excessive.

Well, seeing as where a majority of The Rebel originate from, and to poke fun at the expense of the morons blockading us, I think we should consider playing this sometime at either our candidate's entry or exit when making a speech.

That was the best way to shut down an interruption. Well freaking done.

Now please excuse me as I go reread the quest to remind myself what the hell is going on.

I like that it happened. I liked the twitter sections, and the longer stuff like the plank launch. I just liked it in general. It was fun to see Laxalt being himself again. I'm still not super into Ralph, but I suppose not every character can be a winner. I also wasn't really excited about the SJW stuff, if just because I knew it would lead to... well, the kind of stuff it led to.

EDIT: Well thanks for stealing my thunder Stealthy.

So what did people like/dislike about this results page update?
The first thing that comes to mind is the length.;)
Seriously though these two bits stood out to me.
Goddamn it. You hate being late on anything. Absolutely fucking hate it. Still, with everything that went wrong this week, it's only to be expected. Still, knowing you've barely started when the deadline passed makes your heart hurt. It makes you angry. You aren't slow. You can't be slow. Slow people get left in the dust and shit on.

And you are never going back to being slow. never.
A nice little insight on Laxalts backstory.
"Fuckin' out with it Diammetra. I don't have all fucking week for you to stutter out a sentence." You clench your cigar between your teeth as you flip through the half-dozen pages of analysis by Ralph and one of his staffers. It's not half fucking bad. The general thrust of it is basically that if we can get a solid candidate, and the democrats put up that crazy hyper-progressive chick from Maryland's 4th.
It might just be me but it seems that Laxalt is more mean mean here than funny mean.
Unexpected side effect of The Stress?

Unexpected side effect of The Stress?
Basically. Laxalt doesn't mean to be a raging asshole (Yes he does) but he's being much worse than usual due to all of the stress piling onto him.

Also, general question for the thread, would people be interested in getting an Omake of Laxalt's backstory? Idk, I thought about doing it ages ago, but never got around to it.

I'd be interested, but it's also something that can be slowly established throughout the quest, like it has been. It could also be brought up during his vacation, too.

So what did people like/dislike about this results page update?
I liked the "News of the Week" section. It should give us a broader perspective on what's happening and what (or who) to focus on.
Aside from that, I'd suggest you either split off parts of the update into their own update or simply trim down on stuff, since the updates are getting pretty massive and must be somewhat of a slog to get through. I'd suggest that you split off the "interviews/meetings/editorials section into its own update as well as posting the "News of the Week" section sometime after the main update.
Anyway, I'm glad that this is back. I've missed a distraction from curent politics in the US.

My main concern is that we're like two months in and we're already nearing cardiac arrest. Granted, Laxalt's build starts off halfway on the Heart Attack Express, but we can only take so many vacations. Hopefully there are other stress relieving options and opportunities out there.

Would totally take that omake though.

I'm happy with getting little snippets like this. Flash backs are over rated, characterisation forever.
