[X] comment on the paint brush " do they usauly do that?

[X]"So I never did explain the name did I? Well it should give you some insight into my personalities. How many arrows does it take to kill an army? One. Going fast enough. How many shovels does it take to destroy a mountain? One. Going fast enough. How many rocks does it take to kill a continent? One. Going fast enough. See if you take a take a projectile and make it thrice as massive it hits three times as hard, but if you make it thrice as fast, it hits nine times as hard."
-[x]"Also I think this paintbrush is a divine artifact letting one paint their own pocket realm of existence. Clearly the best use for it is to draw kitties"

Bear in mind, people, that we are currently, at least ostensibly, headed for Leyawin.

The only reasons for going back now would be if we were weighed down by bulky loot, or were badly in need of rest or healing or some city service.

[X] Tell Morlia that if we want a comfortable and defensible camp, we will probably have to start looking soon, but if she is anxious to press on towards Leyawin, we could probably get an hour or two more of travel.
-[X] Tell them that our dragging them into the Ayleid ruins was not just one of our wild whims, but served a greater purpose.
--[X] Explain to them that as we are now, we have little chance against any but the least Dark Brotherhood members, and that until we show our hand, we are not hugely time-pressured, while after we begin, it is likely that any Dark Brotherhood assassins that we miss in our initial strike will be coming after us. Thus, is it not reasonable to try to get in as much combat practice as we can, as well as amass as much power and resources as possible?
---[X] We aren't suggesting that Morlia abandon her quest for vengeance and go train under some crazy monk in a waterfall for seven years, or anything, but that any further opportunities like the Ayleid ruins are probably worth our while.
-[X] Offer to stand watch for most of the night, as you don't really seem to need to sleep.
-[X] Train your sneak skill while you watch, creeping around the campsite, alert for intruders and threats.

Ah, we made progress! Everything I ever wished for came true.

Nice headbutt too.

I'll vote when I get home.

Edit: also, we totally skipped that one room near the beginning. Called it.

Counter-edit: unless that's the 'swinging death' part, though that doesn't make sense, geographically... If so, then you told me so, and I am shamed.

How Does Camping?
It's probably about time to at least start looking for somewhere to camp. While backtracking to Kvatch to sell your meager loot is tempting, and traditional, you don't think Morlia would take it well considering you're aiming for Leyawin to find a guy to get rid of the brotherhood. You're going to need to work on that plan at some point.

"Wanna keep going or just find somewhere to camp for the night?" You ask Morlia and Diana.

"C-Camp!" Well... it seems someone's never been camping before and doesn't like the idea now. "Why would we spend the night out here in the dirt and with animals! There should be an inn or... or...." Morlia falls silent, realising that there are no inns nearby. None within the couple of hours walking time you have left before complete nightfall.

"I think finding a comfortable camping spot would be a very good idea." Diana says, wicked grin on her face. "Wouldn't want to accidentally camp over a nest of vipers or near a spriggan's grove or...."

"That's I really good idea." You say loudly, stopping Diana before Morlia goes any greener. "But since I don't really need to sleep that shouldn't be a problem." You hope that's reassuring, it sounds reassuring to you at least.

"R-Right." Morlia whispers. She doesn't like this idea at all. "I-er I'll...."

"It's fine, let me and Fast handle it." Diana manages the whole reassuring thing far better than you do. Possibly because she's not a walking, talking suit of crystal armour.

Morlia trails after the pair of you as you continue down the road a little way, searching for somewhere sheltered to camp for the night. Diana sees a lovely little spot by a grove of trees. A careful and judicious few stabs determines that they aren't property of an angry spriggan so there's not going to be an attack of BEEEES! in the night. Something you're quite grateful for. You and Diana start setting everything up while Morlia watches the fire.

"Uh, just so you know the whole Ayleid ruin thing wasn't just a whim, I did have a reason." You say. "You see the Dark Brotherhood are really vast and well trained and well I'm not. I could probably take out a few of the lower members but the rest would eat me for breakfast. Even supposing we could, I don't know, burn their hideout down or something any we missed would be coming after us and they'd be really angry so...." Morlia and Diana stare at you. This probably wasn't the most encouraging tangent you could have gone on.

"All I'm saying is we should train, see if we can get a sword that sets people on fire or turns them to ash or something before we attack the Brotherhood. I don't think that wandering off to spend time with some sketchy monks sitting under a waterfall is a good idea but getting experience fighting can only help, right?" If you could smile encouragingly you would.

"I think you've done a great job so far Fast." Diana grins at you, her face lighting up with gratitude. "I'm sure you're right even if it was mostly you practicing in that ruin." He smile turns melancholy. You give her a one armed hug, carefully.

"You're probably right." Morlia says quietly. "It's just... I feel like I should be dealing with them now, so they know why, so they know who they wronged! So everyone knows that you don't fuck around with the Ardyn family."

Meant to update yesterday.... Bleh, whatever, at least it's not a week this time right :)

[X] "Revenge is a dish best served cold with a large helping of Overkill" ( make it sound like we are quoting something) " the best way to get your vengeance is to hit them not fast but hard. make it a Killing blow to their organization making it so that they know that you are not just killing them but destroying their cult as well. make it so that you can get a double dose of Revenge basically. one for killing them and breaking what they love the second is living to tell the tale in spite of them "

[X] If you die trying to take revenge, then they've won. The Brotherhood can reform, even if the ones who destroyed your family are dead. You don't have that luxury.

[x] Ask Morlia on how big her family is. also how wealthy are they?
-[x] "You mean to tell me we could have hired all the help and horses that we need instead of walking around like peasants?!"

[X] Rushing and dying won't make much of a statement. Killing the Dark Brotherhood is going to take plenty of set-up. ... Do you have family that might be in imminent danger?

"Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their uh mother?."

[X] "I understand your desire to make them pay as much and as fast as possible. There is a choice you must make, however. If you make them know who they crossed that brought their organisation to its end, then you will never be able to trust the shadows to be free of assassins so long as you live. You and yours will be heroes, but will have an unknown number of assassins after your blood, and you will never know if you have slain them all. Alternatively, you could act predominantly through others, like the Imperial Legion and the traitor in their ranks, and take pains to never let any escape on any occasion when you have to involve yourself personally. It might be hard to keep the necessary secrets, and your pride will not be as vindicated, but you will have at least a chance of leading a relatively normal life thereafter."
-[X] "If you do decide to be public about your revenge, I'd advise trying to use the influence you'd garner with the Imperial Legion to get into some elite military formation or something. There are few better protections against assassination than a large number of skilled soldiers, and permanent bodyguards are otherwise hard to get.
--[X] If you have any family left that you care about, they will also need to figure in your decision.

Basically, let's give her decently detailed advice about the consequences of either decision, and let her decide if she wants to go loud or sneaky.

Oh, apparently I missed an update, so I guess you reminded me too, skew.

Morlia is not a happy elf
You crouch in front of Morlia and put your hand on her shoulder. "Revenge is a dish best served cold with a large helping of overkill." You say in the deepest most impressive voice you can muster, lending the words a sense of gravitas that probably sounds better to you than it does to Morlia. There's more advice you have for her, of course there is. There's an endless well of things you could or should say to her right now to help her feel better about going at the Dark Brotherhood slowly.

"The best way to get your vengeance is to hit them not fast but hard. make it a Killing blow to their organization making it so that they know that you are not just killing them but destroying their cult as well. Make it so that you can get a double dose of revenge, basically. One is for killing them and breaking what they love the second is living to tell the tale in spite of them." You'd smile if you could but that's pretty much out of the question. Helmet face and all.

"But... my siblings, my mum, my dad they're all dead. Why would I want to survive past them... they're all I ever... all I-I...." She starts crying, brushing ineffectually at the tears pouring from the corners of her eyes and pushing you away when you try to put a comforting arm around her shoulders. You hunt around for something, anything to say to try and help her out of this.

"W-What about other family? Cousins? Aunts or uncles?" You ask, trying desperately to keep your voice calm and in control. "What about them o-or a sweetheart? Or...."

"Extended family all in the Summurset Isles, we... we don't really talk much." Morlia has to wait a while to get the words out but she manages it. That's not very helpful. "T-They won't even care what's happened... if they ever find out." She hunches up, pulling her knees up to her chest and stares ahead not seeing anything. You look around for Diana, maybe there's something she can do.

The young necromancer is no where to be seen.

"I-I don't suppose you understand, being a daedra and all a-and a dragonbreak." With a sigh you sit next to her and put an arm around her shoulders. You need to find the right words.
