We should probably make sure that we inform Morlia of the change in plans somehow before she goes and kills Necro-chan right at the end of the fight thinking she's being of assistance.

[x] Power attack the unarmoured enemy, repeating as necessary until he is killed or crippled, then get in close to the other bandit and start attacking him, circling to ensure that the archer can't get a shot at you without risking hitting his ally.
-[X] Announce in a booming voice: "Master, she's just a young girl! Also, some assistance would be nice!"
-[x] After the first bandit dies, call out to the necromancer to use her damage weapon spell on the archer, if she hasn't done so already, and is still in a position to do so.
-[X] Make no aggressive moves against the necromancer unless she makes aggressive moves towards Morlia or us.
[X] Reconsider killing Necro-chan. You didn't know she was just a kid before you thought of this plan.

Goodbye Bandits
You take the hilt of your sword in two hands, time to end this. Now you know the necromancer's just a girl that betrayal thing is on hold, who wouldn't want a necromancer minion. Even if necromancy is currently illegal in Cyrodiil. No one else has to know. Once you've dealt with the bandits of course. Speaking of....

You let out an impressive war cry and smash your crystal sword into the armourless bandit's abdomen. It has predictable results. Lots of blood and screaming from the bandit. He goes down, frantically trying to shove his intestines back onto his body.

"Master, she's just a young girl, I think I'll call her Necro-chan, can we keep her?" You shout to the bushes behind you. The axe wielding bandit swipes at you, screaming something about how 'Jeff was a nice guy and you killed him, you monster!' The iron head of the axes takes a chip off your arm. It hurts a little, kind of like a paper cut but a little worse.

"Necro-chan can you use your break everything spell on the archer guy." You ask and her hood bounces up and down a couple of times.

Fire ignites in her palms and she throws it with pretty good aim at the archer. His weapon splinters to dust in his hands and his armour flakes off him in moments. He lets out a girly scream and runs directly away from you into the countryside.

A little fireball whizzes over your shoulder, striking the axe bandit in the shoulder. That's the last straw for him. He tries to chop up Necro-chan but she manages to jump out of the way. A little bit of black fabric flutters free of her robes. Then the bandit runs like his friend.

You haul your arm back, aim for him and throw your sword as hard as you can. It misses him and bounces hilt first off a tree. Oh well, if that had worked it would look really cool.

"Yeah! That showed them! Morlia, Necro-chan high fives!" You turn to the two and hold up your hands expectantly. If you had a face it would have fallen comically. Morlia has a palm full of small scarlet flames shoved almost inside Necro-chan's hood. The necromancer is shaking visibly in fear.

"Necromancy is illegal." Morlia says flatly. "Fast check the bodies for anything useful." She snaps at you. "We'll take this necromancer to the guild, they know how to deal with her kind."

"But..." she didn't sound much older than a kid.

"Now Fast!" Morlia shouts at you. Quickly, so she can't complain, you gather what you can from the dead and the dying. A couple of health potions, several lockpicks and something that looks like a poison. There's an iron bow, a couple of iron maces and some crappy leather armour on some of the other dead bandits.

Necro-sempai yields a pair of health potions, a pair of magicka potions and two scrolls along with a signet ring that looks pretty valuable for the gold in it alone. You hear Necro-chan crying.

[ ] Take the weapons and armour
[ ] Don't take the weapons and armour

[ ] What do?

Is summoning daedra's illegal? Cause that seems like the kind of thing that would be but I don't know enough Elder Scrolls lore to know for sure.
Basic ideas, just about to go to bed.

[X] Attempt to stick the weapons and armour in our inventory.
-[X] If this fails leave them as they don't look very valuable.
[X] Tell Morlia to stop being such a bitch then comfort Necro-chan. We're good at hugs.

I doubt the inventory thing will work but it's bound to be entertaining either way.

[x] "Morlia, think about the benefits of having a necromancer on our side. No one would even know unless she actually used necromancy."
-[x] "She's also just a kid. If you really don't want a necromancer, then it is not too late to set her on a better path in life."
--[x] "Plus, while I am a super awesome Daedra, I'm sure you want someone who you can have girl talk with. Am I right?"

[x] note to self practice our sword trow
[X] you do realize that you summoned an unbound Daedra right? I don't imagine the mages at the guild will look kindly at that. Also I reall do not want to be experimented on .
[X] so what's your story Necro-Chan?

[X] take weapons and armor
-[X] all the loot!!!

@kristopherw
They aren't exactly illegal but frowned upon.
Except in Morrowind I think.

[X] Hug Necro-Chan until she stops sobbing.
-[X] "Are you happy now, master? You made her cry. For shame."
--[X] To Necro-Chan: "Shush now, dont listen to the big ol' mean elf. If I could pick I would have picked you as my summoner. She just yells at me all the time for doing daedra stuff."
---[X] Turn back to Morlia: "If I had a face, I would frown at you now. I just wanted to inform you of that fact. Also, I want to keep her. She's adorable. Besides, having a necromancer on our side when we find the Dark Brotherhood cant be bad, after all."

[X] Take the weapons and armor.

Of all the murdering, grave-defiling, Mannimarco-worshipping necromancers in Cyrodiil, we had to find the kawaii one.

[X] "Master, Please step back and allow me to handle this. If handled with delicacy, this situation could yet be made to serve your interests more fully."
-[X] Approach the two, and gently but firmly lay a hand on the Necromantress's shoulder, keeping your manner as comforting as one can be with a sword in easy reach.
-[X] ask"What is your name, girl?"
--[X] "Well <her name, if she gives it, otherwise necro-chan>, you seem to have fallen in with bad company. How came you to the service of the necromancers, and how deep have you gotten?"
-[X] After she answers, continue "I tell you now, there is no future in the necromancy business. In three years or so when your plans to infiltrate the mage's guild come to fruition, the necromancers will be ravaged, and Mannimarco himself unmade by a wizard who will go on to become an Archmage. Irrespective of whether you believe me on this, there is no future in necromancy for you, as I cannot countermand her if she decides to hand you over to the Mage's Guild. I offer you an alternative to a death at their hands: Forswear necromancy, and join with us in our quest, and we will in turn keep your past a secret, and shield you from its repercussions."
-[X] turn to morlia, and say "one way or the other, this means one leas necromancer, and where we are going, we will need all the help we can get. Please honour this offer."

I think that this might actually convince Morlia to spare your precious necromantress.

Sorry to bother you all, but you all seem to want Morlia to spare the young necromancer. If we want to do that, we will almost certainly have to try pretty hard to convince her. I don't know if she is actually part of the guild, but she seems to share their deep-seated revulsion of necromancers.

Asking her to pardon and travel with a practicing necromancer is likely to he an exercise in futility.

I think this is going to be another one of those times when if we want to make the crazy shit happen, we have to act in a coherent and sensible manner.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the plan I propose, or any additions that could strengthen our case?

PS: @Kyrina, @Verminlord1, my congratulations on having made a quest where there are situations in which we have to act with such care and deliberation to make crazy stuff happen sometimes.

But I don't want her if she can't do Necromancy.

If we keep her around for a while, stop her from doing necromancy and keep Morlia mostly happy about it, then they'll grow to be friends maybe.

Then we just get into a desperate situation where being able to summon undead is useful, and Morlia will rationalize it. It helps if the necromancer is someone you actually care about and don't wanna betray, for that.

Harsh, dude. :p

Can you think of a way to convince morlia go spare her despite her remaining a necromancer, then?

I confess, I am rather drawing a blank on that one.

That's the plan, more or less.

Edit: when the time comes, it will be interesting to see how far Morlia is willing to go for her revenge...

Nah, actually I was reinforcing that it was a terrible idea to be swayed by how easily we are swayed by moe.

It may well be just us that have no particular interest in saving the necromantress.

At this stage it seems impossible to stop the enormous impetus behind that decision, so it is my goal to ensure that we do it well, rather than poorly, if we are bound to do it.

A 'fiend has his pride.

I could have sworn that necromancy was just banned in the guild, not actually illegal in Cyrodiil.

summoning unbound daedra, on the other hand, is very illegal everywhere.
