Double fuck it, I'm going with Lan's idea.

[X] Do something with your mother
-[X] try to reassure your mother

[X] Do more of this weird training
Should do that while we still can.

[X] EXP-Plan
-[X] Save it

[X] Do something with big sister
-[X] Ask her about:
--[X] growth and strength of magical girls,
--[X] other known magical girls (what they can do and if they are bad guys or good guys if it is known)
--[X] unified dark and light
--[X] if she maybe understand the thing with our dreams
--[X] how we can determine how strong other people are beforehand (if possible)

If you have ideas what we can ask Bianca, mention them. We need information in the end and I surely forgot something.

[X] Do more of this weird training

Question: Why saving our EXP? I thought we wanted to level up our heal and weapons now?

Besides I think we should use this opportunity to get as much information as we can from our big sister. We dont know how long we can do this, because she will go back soon.

...dude. I think that is far more actions than we have.

As for your question, I'm just waiting to be able to instagrab level 5 heals. And training our weapons so once we do level them up we can actually use them.

Um... you are aware that asking a question is not a complete action, yes? All of those are counted together under "talk to your big sister".

And why do you want to instagrab them? You could just take the first levels now and the rest later without any difference.

...*facepalms hard enough to slam into the moon* I'm an idiot.

Because RPG OCD.

You do not have any bad or mean powers.
*Coughs* Yeah, about that... I'm seriously just waiting for Rico to blow out a building by accident in a few levels of Sunlight (Collateral starts at 20,000 DMG I think?) or for Eva to end up with Lunacy type Spells/Abilities.
"And the worst part? She doesn't see it. To her, the plants just grew strong and the dog became big. Unless someone tells her what she is doing, she has no idea what actually happened."
Good to know. So Unreliable Narrator is in full effect in regards to knowing what we are actually doing.

I'm also thinking we might want to pick up some Flight soon. Flight 1 is... kinda pathetic and not useful at all.

I think I messed up the numbers on the collateral damage, actually; taking into account other numbers I saw in the original, it should start at around 5k.

I am not doing that to the player characters. Your mind-affecting Ability is Two Minds Joined in Harmony, so you got off the hook pretty lightly.

Basically nobody else sees anything because that's a Twin thing right?
But Bianca already realized it when we just casually used each other's body to do stuff, we're not really individuals anymore. Not much loss of self, since the girls don't HAVE a big independent identity, but it's progressing.

I'm trying to save up enough XP to upgrade that personally. Might be useful to improve that element sooner.

Speaking of the connection... I was thinking about that and realised its bonus is not strong enough to warrant such high costs.

That said, a Shop-Item's prize has changed.

Whoever's the winning vote could you throw in asking big sis how she was so sure Anastasia wasn't going to hurt her? And in fact Ana didn't do anything to her?
But even then, Anastasia dodges her by ducking under the lunge and then wacks her in the chest with a quick kick.

(World Eater: +10 Base Damage, +46 dice = 56 total damage
Bianca: +10 Base Resilience, no dice = 10 total damage reduction

46 Final End Damage
The Guardian triggers.

No damage)

You can see her foot hitting your sister, but it does nothing for some reason... it came in so fast, but just stopped there. However, Bianca twists on one hand and throws herself away. Anastasia does not look back and runs... and you run over to your big sister. ""Bianca!""
We have slightly more info about why but I wouldn't mind finding out more if she's willing to share.

While I was at it, I realised that due to the nature of this Quest... all the prices were too high.

So all of them were lowered.

Do you mean how we keep dodging getting outed and thus missing on the combat XP? Cause if so you could just drop bonuses, if somewhat smaller ones than we'd earn by fighting, for not getting outed and then maybe more XP for social victories? Especially since it's so against MGs being able to actually do such with how they are viewed.

Oh no, this was not what I meant. You get plenty of EXP for what you are doing.
But unless you go rampaging and kill everything you encounter, there is just not as much EXP to be gathered simply because, in difference to CW's Quest where there are monsters/demons/whatever in masses to be killed, your only enemies here are humans and Magical Girls.

And the extremely rare, very occasional demon? Among other such things as well?

Just keep in mind how this skews the value of purchasing new abilities over leveling up existing stuff. The cheaper the shop items get, the higher the opportunity cost of leveling up stuff gets.

As a reminder for everyone, leveling something from 1 to 5 requires 100 EXP, and leveling something from 5 to 10 requires 350 EXP.

To put in perspective what this means, the prereqs of Veil Of the Lunar Goddess mean that obtaining it requires spending an additional 1340 EXP over what we've already spent, whereas purchasing every other new ability currently in the shop requires a total of 2050 EXP (assuming that none of those have hidden prereqs).

You are right, this does change much of the dynamics. You will never have a point where you get thousands of EXP in one Update, though; besides, I admit right now that almost everything in the Shop is a prerequisite for something else, much more expensive and more useful. The costs are now fitting better with what those Items do.

For example, you have yet to even get Veil of the Solar Goddess unlocked.

Game balance is a very difficult science. And yeah, this early on I've been assuming that pretty much everything in the shop is a prereq of something else that isn't there yet.
