@DarkKing98, since I decided not to put the EXP into spells for now, you need to amend your EXP-Plan vote to include the sub-votes.

@justinkal, yeah, you're right it's indeed extremely powerful. Especially if it doesn't have any limitations like "only ranged", "doesn't work on AOE", or "needs to be of higher level"... It's a Nasuverse Fragarach-Answerer, more or less. Except it works on everything with damage.

So that means we should get it to level six then?

Also, it's a non-lethal spell with Juggernaut and Judgment.
*waves hand vaguely* So... how to put this... Armored targets or targets like Rico, who have some fuck-off huge purely magic/MM-based defense are what Juggernaut and Judgement will wreck.

After your numbers start breaking 10k or so, Resilience and MM defenses start falling to the wayside outside of the above examples nine times out of ten. Those other one out of ten times are like Goddess Gold who just has fuck off stats on top of everything else (and if we run into that, we're kind of fucked anyway).

All that being said, it would actually be useful on the upcoming mission. The RPG carriers had a base resilience of 14k, so that's dropped to 3.5k instead. However, they still have 100k health. :/ So, yeah. Level 5 is going *Dink* even with all that being done cause it's only doing 3.2k. It'd need to be... level... 10 or something (assuming base damage doubles per level mind you) to get 100k base damage. (Radiance might work on it, it has a Sun affinity, but it's an Eclipse, so...)

Anyway, okay, so those are the strongest one's we see. Lead Soldier is 10.4k resilience and 78.5k health. Need level 10 again to deal with that.

Baseline soldiers are the easiest to deal with. 1k resilience and 7.5k health. A level 7 Eclipse will take them out.

Of course baseline soldiers will probably be in groups most of the time, so we'd be swiss cheese by then.

[] Do more training with Sky and Ana; there ought to be something you can do together
[] Have Ana show you around the sewers; you are still curious about those
I am hoping for a few trash mobs in those sewers to get EXP.

[X] Find and meet Grand Architect; you will find out why she sounds so important
[X] You never really talked much to Winter; bug her until she plays with you
Switching to Winter since noone seems to be interested in the sewers.

[X] EXP-Plan Eclipse
-[X] Baleful Eclipse 1 -> 3 (30 EXP)

let's find out how it scales.

hm, since it is a synchronized spell that can only be cast by both of them, it always gets the Complete Connection damage multiplier.

(Baleful Eclipse: +200 Base Damage, +50 Stationary Target, no dice = 250 Total Damage
Target: +250 Base Resilience, -187 Juggernaut, no dice = 63 Total Damage Reduction

187 Final End Damage

Target Health: 500 - 187 = 313)

Forgot about that. So -1 level on all my expected level projections above.
Actually, it didn't work out like that. Not in the update proper.
@Naron, a clarification please?

My assumption was that the x2 bonus doesn't apply because there's only one attack instead of two attacks.

Meaning that there's no damage to syncronize.
The twins are capable of auto-synchronising attacks against the same target; Total Damage from such synchronisation is doubled
Well, I guess it depends on if that semi-colon is declaring that "x2 Damage on sync" is a separate statement or whether it's a tack-on to the previous statement and it must be an attack that is being auto-synchronized as opposed to a spell that just is synchronized by it's nature.

Usually the damage string goes like this:

(Sunlight Scepter: Lotsa damage = Lotsa Total Damage
Moonlight Scepter: A-Bit damage = A-Bit Total Damage
Lotsa-And-A-Bit Unified Damage, x2 Complete Connection = Quite-A-Lot Total Damage

Defense String Goes Here}

I would assume this depends on whether their efforts count as a "single" synchronized spell, or as two separate instances of casting it.

If there only actually being one attack is in fact the reason for the lack of the x2 multiplier, another thing to consider is that one of the shop items is to add Multi-Caster to Sun's weapon, allowing her to cast two spells in a single action.

That might or might not allow her to sync the damage of one of her spells with the damage of the sync spell.

Also, since the update labels the sync spell under "Primordial Sun: New Spell", I'm curious if Radiance can apply to it.

We can spend the rest after we know how this scales

Complete Connection would multiply it every time, so I modeled it in a way that works without it. Saves me a line in the damage strings each time you use it.
Note that this means the Spell itself is somewhat stronger than it would be if you were to get the x2.

Also, since the update labels the sync spell under "Primordial Sun: New Spell", I'm curious if Radiance can apply to it.
That was a leftover from me copying the slider. It is fixed now and no, Radiance can not affect it.

Ana has not yet learned skilled or skillful dodge and sky might not have them either (2 ??? abilities left to see).
though I doubt we can teach her that in the single training session we have left, we can get started on it.

Also tells them that we can neutralize or dodge attacks that'd kill us.

I really thing leveling up the Eclipse-spell is a good thing. Because many of you have a grave misunderstanding or rather forgetting something.
We are going to save White Glory and she has ABSOLUTE control over the soldiers who are dangerous to us. Which means she wont let them stop us. Therefore we mostly have to worry about normal soldiers.

With our Eclipse-spell we can knock them out without killing them. First that is a secondary goal and secondly that is what our two girls (and us if we consider our votes) want to do. They want to save people without killing if possible.

If we level it up enough it will be something like "Starlight Breaker" from the Nanoha-franchise. We can even use it as a finisher against a weakened enemy, so that we knock him out rather than killing him.

And ShadowAngelBeta didnt we learn that we need defense to survive. Naturally it isnt perfect, but that would be boring. We still need to look for enemys with juggernaut and so on. But a Rico should always have a certain level of defense.

Btw because of the possibility of splitting up I have an idea. Split them up into the following groups: Ana+ Eva and Rico + Sky.
Because Eva can heal Ana and Rico can "heal" Sky with her dmg-spells.

I swear to god, you think things through better than I. Ok, I'm changing my EXP Plan to Eclipse level 6.

Wrong. Our Eclipse spell is the only way we're doing a pacifist run if we get in a fight, yes, but it's pointless if it isn't strong enough to do anything anyway. Rico has the best defense she's gonna get, so I don't know why you're singling me out out on that. All we can do for her at this point is more MM and Lunar Veil + Shining Protector. (The later of which is both more effective and returns better dividends since it helps both at once as well as being a "plan" [we don't have the XP for it] I proposed back when the mission first popped up last update).

Besides that fact, you got the mission expectation wrong. Her soldiers are listed as both allies and enemies on the mission roster for a reason. She will be fighting us, not as well as she could I would grant, but she will be until we get her out and she can safely use the soldiers to help all of us get out.

Naturally she will use her soldiers to fight us at the start, but she will most likely let the Chinese think sheis against us, because she didnt want to be discovered, but if she TRULY send them to stop/kill we wont be able to free her.

AND I just assume what is logically and about the optional goal that is confirmed.

To make a point here, she can't go easy on us for a second.

Doesn't mean she can't leave holes in her so called defenses though. We'll need to find those holes, sneak in from there, grab her, and leave before anyone notices.

This isn't a pacifist mission guys.

It's a stealth mission.

My logic is that most of our combat will happen more than 1 update from now, so I want to check how it scales, and then if it scales well level it up more ASAP.

*Cocks Eyebrow* It's a plan. And we're protagonists. It will go wrong.
It doesn't HAVE to go wrong. Because plans going wrong purely because we are protagonists?

Is shitty writing.

That is something i wrote more or less, too. I answered it later towards Darkkings idea, but the eclipse-spell ist perfect for the way we want to handle things.
