That case being x2 multiplier? Anyway, I have faith in Naron to actually amend the character sheet with the actual levelup modifier once we level each spell up once, so it won't be a problem.
Eh, and a few others. Depending on the spell initial base at least. But I may just be delusional.

On a different note, we have not leveled up Moonlight Scepter since the chapter Forsaken Light. Which was awhile ago.

I guess it is time to close the votes.

Especially without a white mage too. We want to at least try to keep these two alive.

Edit: Speaking of White Mage stuff, we should Level Soothing Moonlight once or twice so it can full heal Sky and Ana.
We probably should... Though my desired EXP plan for now is Shining Protector (200) to prevent damage to them, and Veil twice (120+130) to negate RPG soldiers and Anti-Air soldiers (while we're on the ground) correspondingly. Sky, bless her soul, already has Overwhelming Offense covered.

Best case scenario is Winter and Autumn both join the raid. That means we have infiltration and transport covered, so White Glory isn't assassinated... OTOH there's still the other shoe to drop because I doubt it's a straightforward mission.

Anti-Air won't be too much of a problem if we just stay on the ground. Eva can already jump in front of attacks according to @Naron Unless he wants to retcon that statement. So Shining Protector is probably just helping Eva do it better.

Also, best case scenario is Winter and Best Sempai joining up.

I'm betting if there is another shoe to drop, it's that there is a boss enemy/unit we haven't seen before yet.

Spring, Summer and Strength (S-brigade) were disqualified from leaving on grounds of "there might be another attack".

AA is a problem due to high raw damage 8000+Danmaku=28'000 but not that worrisome.

And it would be hilarious but disappointing if it turns out Shining Protector is either Taunt or Attack Draw in disguise.

Makes far to much sense.

I forget about Danmaku alot.

I'm honestly expecting it.

...Out of her demonstrated spell, Dream of War?

We honestly don't have anything that currently compares. So out of four non-veterans slated to go on the mission, she is the designated artillery, was my guess.

Aside the point: would it be a good thing to slaugther them? How will our 2 girls and the others feel? Defeating a strong opponent is ok but slaugther many when we are on a rescue mission? Hey maybe killing many will give us a bad score too.

On that note, Naron will we gain a better score if we dont kill enemys until we absolutely have to?

I'm not saying that killing them all is the right solution. I'm saying that in case of trouble that does require biggatons to put down, and is actually necessary to put down, we have the option.

...but what does that have to do with Overwhelming Presence? Her Spell does not miraculously give her one.

Edit: Yes. I am stupid; I just realised my brain switched to auto-complete once reading "Overwhelming".
My bad. Carry on.

It is one of your bonus objectives for the mission. Going through this with no kills will give you additional EXP.

Time to do a Pacifist Run. You Undertale players can do that much at least, right?

Joking aside, going in for no kills sounds about right to me regardless for the girls personality. Rico was traumatized by killing a soldier and Eva hates seeing others get hurt. Plus from what I remember they are thoroughly convinced that it is very wrong to kill people and to never intentionally do it.

Since about two weeks ago I have been lamenting the lack of "non-lethal takedown" options for our girls.

Mind you Eva is probably a good candidate to get a thematically appropriate "Sleep" spell, methinks.

Considering the general belief surrounding MGs in this setting, there will never be one who gets a non-lethal spell. Hell, there may not even be one for a Practitioner to learn if the backlash on magic in general is bad enough.

Patently wrong. Chi, the spider MG, has a Total Lockdown spell and she is one of the tainted. It is thematically appropriate. That one delusional MG whose Superior Zombie we once met had a Horror-affinity healing spell, that "merely" had a drawback of being without anaesthesia.

Thematically appropriate in that you are being cocooned to have your guts melted and sucked out by spiders. It's horrifying.

... I really don't even need to say anything for this one honestly.

It is also non-lethal so your claim of it being impossible is still wrong.

Current anti-MG attitude taints themes at the outset, but doesn't affect how the girls grow within the theme. Otherwise even the Dreams would eventually be corrupted.

And that would be terrible.

tbh I'd love to pitch in on this but the whole base cause of everyone and their mother having Horror affinities doesn't even work in mainline metaphysics so I can't really guess what would or would not result from it.

Non-lethal is a valid weapon/spell ability...
To be fair, it only was added to the Bible rather recently.

If anyone does have it, I fully expect it to actually be something else that the MG can't perceive. And, of course, absolutely horrifying/tragic.
...That sounds dumb, but I can't actually dismiss that considering how screwy this quest's metaphysics get at times.
To be fair... the only times I do that are when I actually write an Ability into a sheet, which says the character can not percieve the world properly anymore.
