Mind you, I was throwing in a Synchronized Attack because I thought Double Cast would have cast the spell as two separate attacks. And Eva, being the other attacker, would be getting hit by Scorching Sunlight.

Ah, like that? No, that won't be necessary.

Also, Double Cast line makes unified damage, Multi-Caster (usually) makes two separate spells with one action.

With proper skill/training Double Cast line can split each cast to a different target.

Proper training/skill is also how to unify the damage of Multi-Caster, but that one is far more difficult.
 
Actually it doesn't even require proper skill/training. Double Cast can naturally come with a two targets per cast modifier depending on how it's cast. The War girl MC in Lost's spinoff has a Double Cast spell, but her's works by forming the spell once in each hand, so so long as she can aim her hands at the targets, she can fire at two different ones.

The seemingly final upgrade for the Connection abilities, this has potential to be a great Super Ability. Or very disappointing. Still, not a priority at the moment in the wake of everything else.

An ability worthy of the Horror Affinity, this allows the Twins to incorporate Magical Girl Workd Eater into their Two Minds Joined in Harmony. If it is worth it or not can be heavily debated. Especially with the price compared to everything else.
Well...pooling APT is pretty good? But I think there's more that we can't guess until we have Absolute.

Pretty sure Naron confirmed somewhere she'd start with the first stage Connection and we'd have to buy the further Connection upgrades for her too. So that's a point for debate.
 
@Naron A question I've had for awhile. Why was Veil of the Lunar Goddess given eleven levels? I just can't figure out the math.

I originally wanted to give it to you at level 1.
But then someone brought up that the EXP used on its precursors should still apply.

So I decided on a compromise and applied some of those EXP instead. 12 seemed like a good level to stop at, strong enough to actually take a few hits, but not strong enough for you to just tank everything.
The Veil is not supposed to be an instant "I win"-button, especially not right after buying it.

You take the XP of the previous abilities and add it into the new one. Or you're supposed to, doing the math we should be level 13 and have gotten a 120 XP refund.

Levels 1 => 10 * 2 = (10+20+30+40+50+60+70+80+90) * 2 = 900

Levels 0 => 13 = (0+10+20+30+40+50+60+70+80+90+100+110+120) = 780

I know this is not how it works. My original calculations for the Veil's cost ignored it getting the EXP of its precursors assigned to its level, though.
Which means that I actually should have added another 900 EXP to the original cost beforehand, which I did not.

No. The 900 was never assigned. I just did the math above on that, and we're definitely not level 13, so that XP just went *poof*
Naron is saying that we were meant to get level 1. I.E. that no XP was going to transfer, and that if he had known the XP was transferred, he would have increased the veil's cost by that amount.

I admit, I'd love if it was Level 13, would have been hilarious to just eat the attack and have Eva just look around confused at the stunned looks, but this is Naron's system, which while inspired from Crystalwatcher's quest, does not need to be exactly like it.

Then we come over here where growth affinities have been ripped apart and stapled back together like Frankenstein's monster, character sheet levels are off by one, setting metaphysics are sitting at a 20 degree angle to to what I'm used to, and everything is generally just far enough off that I keep tripping up on things.

Reading this quest is disconcerting at times.

I did not know that actually. I stopped reading Crystalwatcher's quest because I couldn't find what plans were being voted for and the strength of Neptune at any given update.

I can see how all that makes this a bit disconcerting. Ah well, all the more fun, no?
