As it is, I recently read a story for a setting that would make an excellent RWBY fusion, Stand Still & Stay Silent, it has two completed arcs at 560 pages and is an incredibly well built out world, story and cast of characters.
Much like Remnant its very much a death world where people live in clustered fortified settlements but need to travel outside their walls to battle monsters, in this case the partially magic, partially genetic monstrosities that used to be people. There's a cool mix of a localized magic stem, fascinating blend of technologies and interesting back and forths across language barriers and more!
I'd definitely recommend the story, and as for fusion, I mean its not hard to either slot RWBY into this setting, maybe even in original locations or regions of the world, or into the Icelandic one of the canon, to adapt Remnant so that its a world like this over the Grimm. All in all, I think there'd be a lot of fun potential and many ways one could play with this that could be cool.

I have an idea for a crossover with Lord of the Rings. At the end of V8, RWBY takes everyone to a void where they try and help evacuate Atlas.
In Lord of the Rings, Sauron's former master Morgoth is trapped in a void. So what if the battle results in Morgoth being freed and escaping to Remnant?

An interesting idea but a lot depends on how you are weaving this world building together, IE, is the Void like a null space between universe and this breach allowed Morgoth into a universe not overseen by his creator, or is everything still under... I forget his name, but you know the deal. Whether or not there's an all powerful god who can just click their fingers and everything definitely influences the story.
I sadly am not familiar with it

Robot makes all 3 FEEL what the other pilots feel (3 as one, feelings get steamy)
It would be freakin WEIRD no matter which 3 pilot it (and pilots can be swapped out)

There are some stories about it such as "The Girl With Two Souls" where Yang Xiao Long is the female host of Ozpin instead of Oscar Pine and she decided to go out on her own terms after finding out her soul is going to be assimilated eventually and she had to make it count.
Raven Branwen didn't take it well when she finds out.
Well in canon we having nothing saying that he CAN'T be a female, but also nothing saying he HAS been.
Same for Faunus Oz.
Good thing Fanfiction can explore that aspect and have fun with it.

Given Ozpin is assigned to a like-minded but not identical soul I guess a lot depends on how much a male identity is part of how Ozma perceives themself.

What are some people's thoughts on RWBY expies of the Good Witch of the North and the Wicked Witch of the East?
For the former, I know some fics have characters named "Locasta" as one of Ozpin's previous allies, sometimes related to Glinda. Teen Spirit's peggy sue fic had her be Ironwood's predecessor as Headmistress of Atlas Academy. There's also an Adam-centric fic AZRE that had a Locasta expy as the Headmistress of Shade.
For a "Wicked Witch of the East" expy, I figure one option could be a past Headmistress of Haven Academy, someone who was in charge during the Faunus Rights Revolution and actively supported racist and segregationist policies against the Faunus. She wouldn't be one of Salem's followers, but a terrible person in her own right. Her Semblance would be air manipulation (a reference to the cyclone in Baum's book that brought Dorothy's farmhouse and killed her), but not full weather manipulation.

A short I wrote for a friend before their AU idea went off in another direction:
RWBY Raiders
The Dust planes were a vast and arid badland, dotted with cacti, shrubs and jagged Dust crystals with a myriad of environmental effects from pulsing veins of lava to howling winds and crackling lightning when agitated. Across these red and dust planes trotted a lone horse and atop its back were two riders, a dark haired Faunus and blonde human in touch khaki clothes.
Yang had been working with Blake for along time, they'd been partners, friends and well, lovers through no shortage of thick and thin trials and tribulations, so Yang like to think she had a good read on the Faunus. Wrapping her arms around Blake's waste she squeezed and nuzzled into her neck, "Starling, you're gonna draw Grimm to us with all this tension." She felt Blake relax minutely in her arms, but not enough as Blake began to speak and as ever Yang was enraptured.
"I know she's your family Yang, but I can't help but think we're talking into a trap. Even if your sisters on the level, she might be being used."
Yang nodded, "True, that could be the case, but if that is how it is, then we need to get her outta there before tings turn sour. So either way we'd be heading East no?"
"Heading East? Yes," Blake nodded, her black hat tipping, "But going to a meeting with the Schnee-Devil heiress? No."
Yang nuzzled Blake's neck, "You got contacts and wits I don't for this kind of thing, so long as we show up early and you find the right people, we can be ready for anything."
Yang felt Blake relax just a little further, tilting her head back to kiss Yang on the cheek, "True, that is our plan, we just gotta hope they don't have a surprise waiting for us."
"Planning a plan around our plan that was their plan? Seems like its turtles all the way down, but if worst comes to worst..."
"We stick together," Blake said firmly, snaking a hand behind her to teasingly run claws through her golden locks and pulling her into a kiss.
Notes: Some stuff came up, but I hope this is a nice start, I figure there's a huge shipment of wealth via the Schnees coming, Weiss will be on it and she wants out of the Schnee family so is collaborating with robbers after having initially hired Ruby just to extract her from the manor, now she wants to take buttloads of money with her and will split it with the team, if all goes according to plan.

Could magical girls exist on Remnant? They would be empowered by extradimensional magical entities (possibly connected to the Ever After) to battle against an outside cosmic deity that has wanted to claim Remnant as its new domain ever since the Two Brothers abandoned it.
For the record, this magical ability would be completely separate from Aura, Semblances, and Maiden magic.

How much would the plot be affected if Sienna was killed before V1?
Maybe a scenario where she was assassinated by Adam's loyalists in the Mistrali badlands rather than inside WF headquarters, and the Albains blamed Atlesian special forces for the act.
