Right, not that I think it matters? I don't think were going to be in any more battles up till the tournament and I would like to polish the skills more then just get pure combat ability/cultivation right now. We can get the third decade next turn. (and this isnt beacus im too lazy to edit stuff).

That's a legal choice, just providing information.

[X] Plan: Slowing Your Temper
-[X] [Focus Action] It would be shameful to lash out over a sparring loss of all things. Learn some calming exercises.
-[X] [Secondary Action] Spend some time with the other squires doing things other than sparring.
-[X] [Secondary Action] Attend Mass.
-[X] [Chancellery] Slowing Down for the Commons
-[X] Training and Zeal (14 Training, 26 Zeal)
--[X] 6 Training to Refined Litany of Resolve
--[X] 6 Training to Refined Strandsense
--[X] 2 Training to Mastered Clever Deflection (16/27)
--[X] 16 Zeal to Psyche 5
--[X] 6 Zeal to 3rd Decade
--[X] 4 Zeal to Scholarship 3

Going with Litany of Resolve for that better self control and Strandsense for better fight awareness. Can't be tricked again if we can see everything coming.

Edit: Added Scholarship to my plan. Feels appropriate with the Psyche focus.

I just want to remind you that instead of attending Mass, we can try to do good deeds.
As far as I understand, this is a more profitable occupation than communion.

Uh...no. I'm sorry if I gave that impression, but that's not how that works. The two are rewarding along completely different axes. Communion will, eventually, give you Grace. The rewards of good deeds are real, but quite a bit more variable, and probably not better than increasing Grace, not in the long term anyway. They will also be reduced somewhat at the moment until Slowing Down For the Commons is completed.

Saying one is better than the other is incorrect. The two are different and do different things.

This is a good plan. LoR helps cover a big weakness; Psyche 5 improves capacity so we can keep more techs running at the same time and improves how fast we learn stuff in our Chancellery; 3rd Decades boosts are obvious, though I'm looking forward to the armour upgrade.

I might be missing something, but the leading plan says it's spending all 26 of our Zeal but only seems to be spending 22. Is that just a listing of the total Zeal available and we're leaving 4 in reserve, or should something be there that isn't?

I'm not against leaving some reserve Zeal mind you, but I will say that getting our lower skills up wouldn't hurt. We're approaching the point of our Squirely tenure where 3 rather than 2 is the expected baseline for those, although 2s aren't notably awful or anything. We don't need Horsemanship or Administration so much right this second, but Athletics, Scholarship, and Precision could all stand to undergo a touch-up, and we could level up all three for only 12 Zeal. Something to look into next turn, I think.

[X] Plan: Slowing Your Temper

Anyway, the plan has Psyche and Decade ups, so I've got nothing to complain about.

As a formatting thing, as the one who does the plan template, the line with the Zeal at the top just lists total amount. If people making plans want to edit it to be the amount they spend, they can, but I don't usually assume that or consider it a problem if they don't.

Audrey's not really at that point yet...the infusion of Zeal from Reinald has advanced Audrey's cultivation a bit past where it would be expected to be right as she turns 15...if she doesn't have mostly 3s in another couple of years it'd be surprising, but we're talking 17-18, not 15.

Have the miracles that Jesus performed in the Bible changed?
It just seems to me that in the conditions of cultivation, canonical miracles would impress few people.

So, when examined, most of Jesus's miracles are healing people. There are absolutely unhealable injuries in this world...the sort of thing that the normal powers of cultivators just cannot actually fix or restore, including some diseases such as leprosy. This also includes death, which Jesus also healed on a couple of occasions. The exact causes of these injuries or illnesses might change slightly, but the fundamental 'healed the unhealable, brought people back from the dead' remains just as impressive in-universe if you assume the injuries were equally unhealable even with the magics available (and you should).

The second most common option is casting out evil spirits. That's definitely doable by cultivators, but then Christians in this era believed priests could do that as well. It's still impressive and high end. Likewise, actually feeding people with magic directly (one of Jesus's other main feats) is very rare indeed...not entirely unheard of, but it's super rare and high end magic, which Jesus managed casually.

Really, the only miracles he did that are notably less impressive in a cultivation world are withering a fig tree and walking on water. I think the list of Jesus's miracles is probably unchanged.

[X] Plan: Slowing Your Temper

don't think this will do much for our wrath, since that's like a big character flaw, but psyche 5 plus third decade should be a pretty good zeal expenditure.

To be clear in terms of expectation management, a single action will definitely not solve a character flaw wholesale no matter what. But also if you never do anything to address your flaws they definitely won't improve.

Let's see if your head has grown any moss now...

EDIT: Nope, you're bare as a baby's bottom, +6 successes, I believe that's finished!
Alectai threw 5 4-faced dice. Reason: A rolling head gathers no moss Total: 16
