[X] Plan: The Beautiful Knight (And The Monster Within)
[X] Plan: Ruat Caelum

[X] Plan: Pressure Cooker
-[X] Cynewyn (Female)
-[X] Temperance
-[X] Patience
-[X] Valor
-[X] Chastity
-[X] Joy
-[X] Hope
-[X] Luxuria
-[X] Gula
-[X] Outsider
-[X] Enemy

So the general Vibe I was aiming for(I am, very intentionally, not trying to think about the mechanics of this, beyond the slight gaming of outsider and female character) is basically someone who very actively wants things, powerfully even (see Luxuria and Gula) but also has some elements of restraint...but not a perfect amount of it, such as it is (note the lack of dilligence, humility or wisdom). Notably, They're also the type who will step in (via valor) and they got that last little bit for when thing's get dire (see hope)

Maybe put another way, the image I got of them is like chucking a molten ball of iron in water. Pressure Building, a certain degree of ability to hold back, and then just enough willingness to push.

I've been informed some people are waiting for another set of plan reviews. I have no Plans to do such a thing, but I may do it on my own time. It is a Mystery.

Hmmm.

[X] Despairing Hope
- [X] Cynewyn
- [X] Justice
- [X] Valor
- [X] Diligence
- [X] Wisdom
- [X] Hope
- [X] Aceida
- [X] Outsider
- [X] Branch Family

This would be a character with a deep sense of justice, wisdom beyond her years, and a keen sense of duty and courage, who nonetheless finds herself troubled with a terrible despair that saps her strength and will, yet leaves her no less aware of her duty, but rather unable to act upon it. She is of a branch family and a girl besides, but her keen sense of justice and her great courage has led her to walk this path, for if she cannot serve God it will not be for her failure to try nor fear of that very failure. Time will tell if she can succeed.

[X] Plan: The Beautiful Knight (And The Monster Within)

yeah, I can appreciate a heavy sin build optimised for combat and leading people.

[X] Plan I Need Nothing Special, For God Is With Me
-[X] Cynric (Male)
-[X] Justice
-[X] Patience
-[X] Wisdom
-[X] Hope
-[X] Luxuria
-[X] Outsider

A very simple Man Among Men. He's not strong, he's not smart, he's not brave, he's not charismatic. He's no visionary or great commander, no leader or budding da Vinci. A perfectly ordinary man, who under most circumstances would live a perfectly ordinary life.

But he sees the world and its flaws, and is told that things can be better. He sees the cruelty of his fellow man, and is told this is displeasing to God's eyes and in violation of his command to love your neighbor. So one day, he simply sits up and says, "This shall not stand, so long as I am here." And sets out to make it true.

But within that lies danger, for to strive for what you don't have is to build a road out into the void and hope and pray for the best. And one who pushes too hard for other people to change risks speaking where he should not, acting where he should not, and missing the log in his own eye.

[X] Plan I Need Nothing Special, For God Is With Me (Ladies' Edition)
-[X] Cynewyn
-[X] Justice
-[X] Patience
-[X] Wisdom
-[X] Hope
-[X] Luxuria
-[X] Outsider

And one for a Woman amongst Women, with all the unique struggles therein.

[X] Plan No Reason To Fret
[X] Plan: Haste Makes Waste

These are also fine.

Every time one of these quests comes up with the option of front-loading flaws in exchange for traits, it almost invariably falls apart because it allowed front-loading. When the flaws that were voted for self-sabotage the character no matter what the vote is, people get irritated and contentious and bored and just fuck off. Even worse is when level ups happen, or side quests pop up, and an opportunity to correct these flaws is pissed away because "it's not entertaining" or "a character without flaws is no fun". You know what's even less fun? No character growth and no meaningful plot advancement.

Was thinking of making a plan, but it would have looked pretty close to this anyways. Probably would've switched out Superbia but it's not a dealbreaker.

I still don't know why Superbia is so popular though.
I can't speak for the people in this thread because I'm not a mind reader, but to my eyes you inadvertently set Pride up as the powergaming option in a casual voter's estimation because you started the entry with "Here's the reasons why Pride is a power booster/buff if you're enough of a super-dextrous badass to thread the needle".

And if there's one thing that can be said for roleplayers of any game and fanficers on any platform, it's that they tend to be pretty confident they are the ones who can thread that needle.

How ironic, that those suffering from the Sin of Pride rally behind it!

Just means Working As Intended.

Huh, I was going back and forth on the top plan and the first post, and didn't notice we can vote for more than one Sin. I was under the assumption that it had to be the Flaws down below said Sins. Uh, good to know I guess? :V

Multiple Sins is a heavy choice. All of the Sins are big, meaningful, personality flaws so having more than one is a big deal...but yes, it is 100% allowed to have more than one.

this build im picturing as a guy who does not stand out and sometimes struggles with himself but keeps moving forward. i envisage him as someone who is not flashy but very efficiency focused.kinda inspired by karna from fate in that life it will be hard for him to get recognition because he is not flashy but when you realy look at him he is a badass. i picture him being a master of fundamentals rather than having some big moves.

You need to put a dash at the start of every sub-option after the plan name, otherwise the vote counter eats it and each piece is its own separate vote, not a singular plan
Effectively this, just with the x back in
[] Plan: A Simple Blade
-[] Denzel
-[] Fortitude
-[] Patience
-[] Diligence
-[] Hope
-[] Wisdom
-[] Aceida
-[] Branch Family
-[] Outsider

[X] Plan Cycle of Wealth

Alright, my narrative for this plan is like this.

Ea (I don't want to type his full name all the time) is born in a branch family. As a result from that, he was raised up in near poverty, which is how he gained his Greed. Thankfully, he never gave up Hope. He is a Joyful person and thus have a positive outlook on life. Ea is Diligent enough, and have enough Temperance that he decides to get stuff for himself rather than covet from others (I'd have used Invidia if that was the case).

But he... overachieved, and collected a lot of stuff he liked but really didn't need. Some he still kept, but he have enough Temperance that he knew he shouldn't keep that much. And then he saw a group of people who lived in poverty like he was before, so he decides to be charitable and donate to them.

This occurs several times, and because of his Charity and being such a Joy to be around, this kind of cycle caused his standing to rise up overtime. Which offended someone, as they don't like an upstart from a Branch Family to rise up, thus becoming Ea's Enemy.

How things devolve from there? Who knows. Need to see if this vote won or not.

[X] Plan: Riding on a White Horse

I like Knights that are just. Those who can carry with them the idea that change for the better is always possible and strive to both better themselves and inspire it in others is peak.

[X] Plan: The Beautiful Knight (And The Monster Within)

But for a second choice, I have to go for this. High flaw high charismata; dare to win.

Similar to Constenato's setup, but with a focus more on force of personality and battle effectiveness--which are both solid setups! Not sure why we're going with Outsider here, but it's perfectly viable. Not complaints here.
Admittedly, I'm doing it for the extra opportunity to worldbuild. Female and Outsider dovetail together nicely - by design - but for a guy who would normally be excepted by default, I feel like it gives room for other ideas. Perhaps having a Pagan parent, or at a former norseman who converted? Feels like some good narrative fodder.

[X] Plan: Oh Lord, He Coming...
-[X] Name:
Cynric (Male)
-[X] Virtue: Fortitude:
The child is fair of form, with a vessel formed from the finest of clay. Properly shaped and moulded, they will undoubtedly become a pillar of the Kingdom, able to stand against the heathen tides unbroken. (You have a Talent for Soma, the attribute that governs your health, physical prowess, and general well-being. Your base in this field is one rank higher by default, and you find raising it further to be easier than your peers. Has other benefits that can be unearthed with time)
-[X] Charismata: Diligence: The Page's determination and resolve is clear to all—one can count on them to pull their share of the weight and then some. This understanding gives them the potential to be an excellent leader, with a bit more polishing.
-[X] Charismata: Joy: The Page possesses a sunny disposition, capable of dispelling the clouds of even the darkest of days with a smile and a few kind words. Such radiance is held both within and without, and can serve as a beacon even when the tides of war press in.
-[X] Charismata: Hope: All that remains when the darkness presses in
-[X] Sin: Gula: The Page occasionally shows Ungodly levels of consumption, making use of more than is required to sustain themselves and their duties, this wasteful behaviour is potentially dangerous if left unchecked, especially to the people protected under their shield.
-[X] Flaw: Enemy: The Page has a dire foe, who will not rest until their path has been brought to ruin…

Okay, but picture this. We're huge, handsome, and happy. Sure, we eat and drink a little bit too much but we're diligent enough that that just gets us huger. No piles of flaws, no holy compulsions, just pure Kenergy. Let's get it.

And approval voting other Fortitude plans...

[X] Plan: Ruat Caelum

Maybe if I get in on the start of a cultivation quest I'll be able to follow what's happening in it.

[X] The Shonen Protagonist
-[X] Cynric (Male)
-[X] Justice
-[X] Valor
-[X] Chastity
-[X] Diligence
-[X] Hope
-[X] Gula
-[X] Aceida
-[X] Tongue-Tied

My attempt at a middle-heavy build. Even-hearted, brave and hard-working when motivated, but prone to overindulging in simple things like food and relaxation. A talent for mishandling social situations lends an air of interesting times, but to have drawn the eye of a higher power is perhaps more concerning...

And of course, he's denser than lead.
