I'm pretty sure we already have a wrestling style? we definitely have a style we got a wrestling move from (and can likely gain more) and that's honestly enough.

You have a Style that can be used for wrestling, yeah. A dedicated wrestling style would be better, but it's serviceable if you get a few more Rotes for that kind of thing.

I don't think we need a style for fighting multiple inferior foes, which seems to be what Hordebreaker does, Knights are already pretty good at that.

Ranged attacks… I can see the reasoning, but I think we should get better at melee

I like the idea of either Wrestling for obvious reasons or Thunderous Charge because being Cavalry is fantastic.

While Hordebreaker is certainly primarily used on multiple weaker foes (because multiple equal foes is probably gonna go badly even with a Style) it does have stuff for fighting multiple opponents in general.

Speaking of that, for the record, a francisca is a throwing axe used by, well, the Franks. Often to mess up enemy shields before battle. Reinald will probably teach you the very basics of them regardless of picking the Style (as a Combat Rote), but the Style would make you much more specialized with them and other throwing weapons.

The horse one is kinda cool, but we don't have a horse and it would also be useless for indoor fights, fights in dense forests and also cave fights like the one we just had.

Hordebreaker will p much always be useful.

Others not really interested in.

A Style for killing groups is really nice as we are gonna be outnumbered for the vast majority of fights we get into. A wrestling Style would be rather nice as then we have a chance in hell against EVERY FUCKING NORSEMAN HAVING GLIMA, although we can cover it somewhat with the generic one that the king makes everyone learn. A cavalry Style will be really nice for when we eventually get given our Horse and Bird, although it is just a waste to grab it now as we don't have nearly the Training to get anything from it or a horse for it, so it would be a money sink with no return for a while, and we're rather weak right now. A throwing Style would be nice, but we are gonna be rushing into melee as soon as possible the majority of the time, so we won't use it much.

I did some looking up on actual French terms for wrestling and that was on the list including to online dictionaries. But, like, having a style be named a French term for wrestling feels a bit...off. Martial Styles are usually not named quite that simply.
Couldn't you dig into Celtics or Welsh stuff? Not like they were shy about the old grapplin'

Reinald is French, he's been in Wessex for 50 odd years but he was initially trained and learned his craft in France, so the Style he knows well enough and has the mystical right to pass down is probably French

Mechanically, shield-breaking is very nice and a good counter for some of our common enemies. It also gives us an answer to ranged enemies we can't just rush down, like what would have happened if things had became a 2v1, with the first guy backing off to cast fire magic.

Thematically, our existing Hard-Fall style is something that takes advantage of weaknesses & openings. And with our Soma specialty, we'll be able to throw sharp things very hard, right into weak vulnerable points with Francisca.

...Also being a specialty of the Franks, its likely one of the styles we uniquely have access to since Reinald is a Frenchman. And if its one of the last styles we'll get taught by Reinald, I want it.

Action economy is a killer, even if all this does is help level the playing field it can be huge if played correctly because normally the trick to fighting a Knight if full-plate is to have enough men-at-arms dog-pile them and go at them with anti-armor weapons like pick-axes or round-head hammers. Even if that isn't always the case, rarely will a near-peer level enemy likely not having support in one form or another. Something designed to avoid the normal pitfalls of that situation is a great foundation.

"Thank you, Father," Audrey clasps her hands
Also, minor note. Should be "your Excellency" not "Father".
