A Kantai Collection/Metal Slug Crossover.
Ever since first contact, Abyssal forces have been using the Andreanof Island's to stop US-Russian fleets from traversing the Bering Sea, sinking any fleet that crosses the invisible line that the Abyssals set up. This has continued, even after The US summoned their Ship Girls, due to the Pacific being a never-ending Tug of war. That has not deterred the Russians in the slightest. One day however, a MQ-9 Reaper flying over the islands, directed from Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, has the operators confused. What was a very active base, marked as the HQ of one of many Wo-Classes upgraded to flagship status, is now showing nothing, not even a puff of flak. This was sent to the USN West Coast HQ ASAP, to be read by The Grand Admiral. But he is a lazy ass, so he had the message sent to the one and only Admiral Goto. The moment he got the message, and read through it, he set it down, took a deep breath...and started to slam his head on the desk.
"Why" *Slam* "is" *Slam* "he" *Slam* "so" *Slam* "Lazy." He mumbles, resting his head on the desk. His Secretary Ship Nagato, decided to reply.
"Ever since Major Abyssal Attacks died down, most of them hunkered down, building up their bases, while the other half switched to Hit and Run tactics. Seeing this, I bet he ordered Admiral Jacob Keyes to simply send patrols, while we have been sending the girls out to do a variety of missions. I do agree that he keeps sending us missions that could be given to Admiral Keyes." She finished with. Goto lifted up from his desk, a look in his eyes that speaks,"This is my serious look, time to get down to business." Straighting out, he rereads the message, noticing something.
"Nagato."
"Yes sir?"
"What day did the Abyssal base go dark?"
"That would be August 12th, sir. Why did you ask?"
"Because three days ago, a Russian convoy tried to get to San Fransisco by cutting through the Andreanof Islands. They got to close to one of the Abyssal Firebases, and was sunk. No crew survived, and the ship's cargo was taken. Whats interesting, is what the cargo was."
"What is it sir?" Nagato questioned, intrigued at what the convoy was transporting.
"The meteor that caused the Tunguska event."

"WHAT!?" All of 6thDesDiv shouted. Akatsuki, Hibiki, Ikazuchi, and Inazuma were called in for a recon sortie. The objective? Head to the wrecked town of Adak, where the Russian container turned research ship Blue September was MIA, to find it's missing cargo, and investigate why the Adak Island Abyssial base went dark. It wasn't untill they were told what the missing cargo was that got a reaction from them.
"So..." Hibiki started to say, only for Yuudachi to suddenly pop her head from the ceiling, spooking the four girls. Goto facepalms, forgeting to distract Yuudachi, and Nagato drilling holes into the back of the upside down destroyer's head.
"So it's not aliens?" She questioned.
"No Yuudachi, it was not aliens."
"Oh drat, I had hoped that it was aliens."
"Hmmmm...well, congratuation's Yuudachi, as of right now, you have volunteered to help this mission."
"EHHHHHH!?"
"Also, when you get back, I'm cutting your Redit time in half, from six hours, to three." Goto smugly ordered.
"NO! Anything but that!"
"This is what you get for eavesdropping on sortie's that dose not include you, don't make me completely cut your time."
"No sir!"
"Good, for as much as I want to inform you on more details, if this is a trap, then any nearby fleet could be in danger. Read up on your mission and prepare for a long trip, Dissmisd.
After that talk and suprise Yuudachi, the 6thDesDiv plus her, head out of his office to prepare for the upcoming mission. He opens the file, looking for a picture of one the weird things found in the dig. Finally finding it, he stares at it. 'Maybe Yuudachs is right...naw, she spends too much time on redit. He chucked. Before putting the picture back, a peek showed that he was staring monoliths that circled the dig sit.
