Prototype King, be an abomination against nature!
Character Gen

Vault166

Demonic Giggling Crow (Wants the Shiny!)
Location
The Vault Of Crows
Henry Wu wasn't nervous per say. More… how to say unbalanced? Yes, that worked. He was unbalanced for the simple reason that he was about to Pitch to John Hammoned the work of almost three years worth of his own spare time.

Truly it wouldn't be the end of the world if he said no, but it would be rather disheartening. Either way John would either make or break his proposal, and based on his previous hesitance to the Idea of mixing in Frog DNA he might just shoo him out the door the second he said the project name.

Project Chimera.

The Idea was simple really, with how replacing the missing genetic puzzle pieces of DNA with Frog DNA had shown significant promise. Especially considering every Living dinosaur on Isla Sorna, and Nublar wouldn't exist without it.

Anyway it had shown that creating hybrids was possible, and that it hadn't had any detrimental effect on the creatures themselves. Sure it had probably changed the pigmentation of the dinosaur skin tone, and they had a strange habit of growing feathers oddly enough. But small hiccups couldn't be helped.

Project Chimera was to see if creating more varied and extreme hybrids would be viable, but also humane. It would not be a good idea to create a masterpiece only for it to die five days later because it's genetic code had caused extensive complications after all.

Project Chimera was the idea to create ten Hybrid Dinosaurs of varied extremes in pairs, and monitor them for health defects and other issues such as diminished life span. At the end of the study (about five years at the longest based on how long it took the T-rex to grow to adulthood) they would present the findings to a board of experts, executives, and humanitarians alike in order to judge if creating further hybrids would be allowed. Whether that be as further attractions, or just for continued study.

He just hoped John didn't chase him out of the room with that exasperated look of his. What Kind of scientist would he be if didn't try to push boundaries! He knew John understood that, after all the man had been doing for most of his life, even if it was in a different vocation. It was how he'd made his fortune in the end.

Project Chimera, What do you look like?

[]Write in
Take note that your choices in the story will have an effect on your appearance.

Okay everyone, welcome to my new quest! This is quite literally my first story on this site with most of my stuff having been on ffn. This also my first quest, so be gentle as I work out how this is all going to go. If you haven't guessed this is a Jurassic Park quest where your going to be the dinosaur.

Regardless of your choices once you egg hatches and we finish character gen, you have a year until the Jurassic Park incident, and two until site B is abandoned. When you, along with all the other Dino's are released into the wild.

As the story progresses you will have choices as this is a primarily narrative quest. You will have Low danger choices, medium danger choices and high danger choices, and write ins will be evaluated by how well thought out they are.

Low and medium choices will be entirely narrative, whereas high danger choices will be decided by either a dice roll or by spending points with high danger option typically being stupid moves and point allowing you pull through like you typical protagonist. The type of points will be listed as below in the following post, and you will gain them as the story goes on depending on your choices. The points won't be a factor until after character gen finishes anyway.

Any please be Patient as I learn the system, and thanks for reading.

Voting will lock in 48 hours.

Points
Tyrant Point(S):
The definition of mercy escapes you, cruelty calls to you. Pain has been your calling since birth, pain has defined you. Pain will be your gift to the world. Rejoice in slaughter, and spread your pain. (Violence is always the answer!)

Causes you to grow more threatening, makes spikes or other features sharper, more cruel, and features more brutal. (Basically, you'll give off the same air as the indominus, or a velociraptor. A perfectly grown movie monster.)

Tyrant Points serve as a representation of your Instincts, along with your innate Predatory nature.

King Point(S):
The crown weighs heavy upon your head. Every choice, Calculated. Every action, Kind. Every attack, Merciful. The crown weighs heavy upon your head, but you would have it no other way. (Kindness and empathy are the name of the game, and you are a master of it.)

Causes you to grow swifter and sleeker, every action more regal/noble. (Basically you'll give off the same impression as a lion, A noble creature.)

King Points serve as a representation of Logical and Empathic abilities.

Prototype Point(S):
The Prototype King, the first of your kind, the last of your kind. Make a choice, and it always be the first. Be kind and the world will exalt you, be cruel and it will fear you. Walk the line in between, And the world will know nothing like you has ever been. For nothing like you will ever be. The first and last of your kind. (Life will always finds a way)

Causes you to look more like a science experiment, odd proportions, mutations, milk white eyes, strange glowing pigmentation and other such things. (Basically you look creepy)

Prototype Points serve as representation of your Unique existence and your Hybrid nature.

Point/Quest Mechanics
Choices:
Any option you choose (Including write ins) will be evaluated as either Low danger, Medium danger, or High Danger

Low to medium danger option will be selected based on the narrative.

High Danger choices will be decided with a roll of a D100. the higher the number the better you do.

100-90 means you passed with flying colors and had no issue
90-50 means you passed but you had trouble
50-30 means you have a new scar
30-20 means you lost a limb
20-1 means you are barely alive and plot armor is the only reason for your survival.

Points
The three point type will work in the following ways:

If you are in a situation where you can't come up with a solution you can spend 1-3 points depending on how dire the situation. Depending on which of the three point you spend will determine your behavior and how you solve it. With Tyrant points you would simply solve the the issue with incredible violence for example.

You can also spend a point alongside a write in, in order to limit the damage (or increase it if you feel like it)

They can also be used for High Danger choices in place of a dice roll.

Earning points is based on how you vote to act throughout the quest, at end of each session I will go through and examine your choices. Based on that you will either earn a Tyrant Point, a King Point or a Prototype Point.

Prototype points unlike Tyrant or King points, will require a write in. Mostly because, they are literally the definition of what makes your character unique and will cause character development depending what is written. (Thanks to the Curious at heart trait, every time you use Prototype points, your actions will be dyed in its colors.)

Once character generation and the prologue are done, you will start the quest with 1 point in each category.

Edit: I will also keep track of your current choices and their effects on your personality with the Personality Drift counter. Take note that leaning too heavily on one point type may cause personality issues.

Fore example leaning to heavily one Tyrant Points would make you more prone to violence, while King Might make it harder for you to justify killing other things in order to live, or make you more prone to using cold logic instead of emotion.

Chracter Gen 2
Okay since you guys picked to be Titan sized you gain two extra genetic variations two pick from the below vote. The reasoning being since you are a titan 40% of you DNA is made up of a combination of Tyrannosaurus and Spinosauraus DNA. Leading into another vote on weather you want to look more like a T-rex or a Spino.

Titan Size Mutation (Pick 2)

[] I smell you! (T-Rex DNA)
I don't have anything for this.
Modern science has revealed that a Tyrannosaurus had a amazing sense of smell, comparable to that of the modern day house cat.

[] Humming at the end of the world (T-Rex DNA)
A hum to die for
Modern Science had once again proven that a Tyrannosaurus wouldn't have actually been able to roar. Instead it would hum, now that might not sound to scary on its own. But the sound is so deep and strong that it would likely cause everything for several miles to shake like the water glass in the original movie, might even cause small animals to have heart attack at full size. (Picking this option will not prevent you from roaring like the movie T-rex)

[] Strong Heart-ed (T-rex DNA)
Some say they have the heart of a lion, well you have the heart of a house sized predator beating in your chest.
A stronger heart means you have less issues with stamina, and provides a small bonus to regeneration.

[] The Swim Thing (Spino DNA)
Just keep Swimming, Swimming, Swimming, Just keep swimming-
Give you a Spinosaurus fin and enhanced lung capacity. (Allows the option to swim to Isla Nublar once you have reached maximum size.)

[] Relentless (Spino DNA)
The Spinosaurus hunted them from one end of the Island to the other
Should something piss you off to a ridiculous degree you will be able to track it anywhere it goes on the island.

[] Extreme Digestion 3 (Spino DNA)
That phone and that stupid jingle I heard it!
Allows you to eat a large amount and variety of unhealthy material with no ill effect.

Appearance vote (Pick one)

[] Tyrannosaurus
You will look closer to that of a T-rex (Shorter wider mouth, bulkier Build)
or
[] Spinosaurus
You look closer to that of a Spino (Longer Less wide mouth, Slimmer Build)

To say Henry was frustrated at the moment was a massive understatement. Mapping the Genome of the new hybrid had been fairly bothersome all on its own, but for some reason the Gene sequence kept degrading. Not an unforeseen occurrence what with this particular Hybrid being the most extreme with the sheer amount of animals that had been spliced into it's genome. But he had double checked the sequence just a few day ago and it had showed no issues then.

Really it was almost as if someone had tampered with it, but really why would someone do that? At this point he was just throwing random DNA Sequences from their database at the problem and hoping it stabilized.

Really it wasn't as if one them was actually going to solve the issue, but he had no real other options at the moment-

"DNA Matched, Embryo stabilizing."

Well, he wasn't expecting that.

DNA Stabilizer (Pick one)

[] Very Stable
A more stable base with almost no potential to mutate or adapt.

[] Mildly Stable
A stable base with some potential for mutation.

[] Not Stable
A not entirely stable base with some potential for adaption

[] Unstable
An unstable base with potential for Mutation and adaption

(This vote will determine if you can gain mutations, or adapt to your environment during the quest.)

The day he had been worrying over for the past six months was finally here.

The eggs were hatching! Today was the day they would find out if their efforts had gained fruit or only produced ash.

Henry had to say he wasn't exactly excited himself, but the cheer through the lab was fairly infectious and even he couldn't help but lean forward as the egg to one of the Extreme Hybrids began to crack.

First Impressions (Pick One) (this vote is for the scientists reaction to you)

[] Awe

[] Terror

[] Trepidation

[] Curiosity

[] Arrogance

[] Neutral

[] Write in

Okay that took a while to type out, if you have any questions let them free. Otherwise the vote will close in 24 hours

Small Beginings
As the Tiny creature broke from it's shell, Henry Wu felt his heart stop. It was tiny, small enough to fit in the palm of his hand in fact. Something very obvious even as it poked it's head out, Small bits of broken shell covering its head like a tiny hat.

It should have been funny, adorable even he knew from the gasps of the scientist's around him. But it wasn't as one of it's tiny eyes locked onto his face, shrinking to a slit as it seamed to stare at his very soul. He was spell bound. It was magnificent, it was grand, it was awe worthy.

It's snout was short, looking closer to that of Rexy when she first hatched than was projected, and as Henry stared into it's tiny eyes, filled with enough power to make kings shrink away.

Henry Wu felt small.

Congratulations, you've hatched!

Gain the Trait: Awe Worthy
Henry Stared into it's tiny eyes, filled with enough power to make kings shrink away.
Upon being born into this world, your first act was to do the impossible. To do what John Hammond had been attempting and failing at for years. You made Dr. Henry Wu feel small. (Farewell canon we hardly knew thee)

Appearance Vote Eye Coloring (Pick One)
What color are your Eyes

[] Red Eyes

[] Green Eyes

[] Blue Eyes

[] Purple Eyes

[] Write in

Appearance Vote Skin Color (Pick one main color and one highlight)

[] Main color (Insert color Here)
-[]Highlight (Insert color Here)

You felt it as the strange shell that kept you captive, broke under you strength. You felt it as you struggled from your shell as you looked upon the room around you, white blank walls, strange chemicals hitting your nose. You felt it as your eyes narrowed in on a strange two legged creature, who seemed to deflate before your eyes.

You felt-

The first thing your heart feels (Pick one)

[] Curious

[] Pain

[] Nothing

[] Awe

[] Lonely

A cracking sound broke you from the new sensation pulsing in your chest, following the noise you see an egg. Sniffing you realize it smells just like you do.

Motherless, with only strange chemical scents sticking to it's shell.

You have a sibling, what do? (Pick one, write in only)

[] Write in

Okay so you guys have hatched, met some strange two legged creatures and realized you have sibling.

Now that you have hatched, this is when Genetic Car Crash comes in, I can either wait until you are released to roll to see what two abilities have minor issues, or I can roll now.

[] Roll Now
or
[] Roll later

Okay, I think that is it for now, other than I would prefer for you guys to vote by plan. So please give me a bit of warning before you decide to do it by individual vote. Just a short PM or mention so I can change the vote settings. Otherwise great choices and I can't wait to see what you guys do.

Vote will close in 48 hours
