[X] Refuse awakening your Stand right now. You aren't sure of yourself wielding that much power yet.
"Nope. I don't want to awaken right now. I don't feel like it's right… plus… I don't really need a Stand right now. Do you see anybody to fight with around here? I sure don't." Running your fingers through your aqua blue strands, you gave a blase sort of stare at the older guy.
Jotaro was shocked at your disposition, probably from the looks of it, although… He didn't seem to argue against the possibility that you didn't want to awaken just yet. He sighed. "Gimme a break… oh well. Your choice, kid."
"I'm not stupid to awaken to a power I don't even understand! Besides…" You gripped your school bag, your eyes downcast slightly. "If you think that I can summon it automatically, then you are wrong… I can only form parts. And even when I do, it fades faster than I can see it."
"That's odd. A Stand user having no grasp over their Stand… then again, nothing about your case is ordinary." Jotaro mentioned, giving you a once over.
This caused you to grit your teeth, marching over to him. "You wanna fight, old man? I can take you, Stand or no!"
"Maki!" Koichi exclaimed, grabbing your left arm, attempting to hold you back. "C-Calm down, c'mon… there's no point in fighting… right?"
Josuke immediately did the same, grabbing your right arm. "Koichi's right! I know I'd probably do the same… but I'm not that reckless!"
"Says the fuckin' guy who clocks somebody repeatedly for his hairstyle!"
Before it could escalate any further from that, three of the girls that went to your school - you could identify them by uniform alone - had come up to Josuke. They addressed him by name. So. He was popular with the girls, huh? You wouldn't be surprised. Considering how he looked, to some girls he would be the ideal.
Although you were still highly upset about being insulted by Jotaro, and you knew it was, too. You were no fool. You nearly went back to your speech ticks, something that you were attempting to avoid. That only happened when you were extremely pissed off. You started to revert back to Osaka-styled speech.
"Oh, Josuke! Want to go to school with us?" One of the girls with very pretty curly hair said with a smile.
A brunette girl, who had much straighter hair, fiddled with her hair a bit. "Your hairstyle is so wonderful as usual today. Oh, and you have friends with you? Then we can all walk to school together!"
"Yeah, we better get going, otherwise we'd be late! We don't want that!" The third girl remarked, slightly pudgier than the other girls, but generally nice, from what it seemed.
The fawning and attention over Josuke had driven Jotaro to say, "...We were in a middle of a conversation, Josuke. Get rid of them."
"Wait, what?! Are you serious right now? No! That's too harsh, man…"
"You do, or I will."
-
Josuke was seemingly appalled with Jotaro's behavior, and so were you and Koichi. Really? They just wanted them to go to school and they would all walk together. Was that really a crime?
"That's a definite no! They just wanted us to go to school with them!" Josuke snapped back, clearly not accepting the threat.
"Do they even really like you? Considering that they only talk about your hairstyle…" Jotaro said, but was cut off with one single phrase.
"What did you say about my hair…?"
You bit your lip. Goddamn it. You loved fights as much as the next delinquent, but here they go at it again. You wondered how it must have looked in the eyes of those who were normal. You were clearly aware that there was a supernatural occurrence going on. You were seeing a grown man and your friend - well, the girls assumed you were - Josuke, who were about to have a brawl. You knew that Josuke had a Stand… although you didn't know it's name.
Josuke had explained it to you as such while you were walking and talking with Jotaro. Yet you worried that Jotaro had a much stronger Stand.
"I didn't mean it like that, what I meant to say was…" Jotaro was about to defend his position, although it seemed Josuke wasn't going to have it.
Soon, a dark pinkish light was coming forth from Josuke. "Oh, I heard exactly what you said! You've pissed me off, and quite frankly, you aren't getting off the hook that easy Crazy Diamond…!!!"
Without warning, Josuke's Stand had thrown his fist at him, which lead to Jotaro defending with his own. It was something like out of a shonen manga. Your eyes were glued onto the scenery in front of you. Especially when Jotaro's Stand came out to defend Jotaro.
"This is a Stand, Josuke! Star Platinum is my Stand. Just like your Crazy Diamond, we both have them..." Jotaro exclaimed, as a big muscular man, similar to Crazy Diamond, however it had unruly black hair and had a color scheme of blue and purple.
"And me too." You muttered under your breath, although you doubt Jotaro would hear because he was doing exposition. You looked back towards Koichi. "Everythin' going over your head about this?"
"Well, they're both shouting and posing and I have no idea what's going on." Koichi replied.
You sighed heavily. "Yeah, I kinda figured. It's a more you won't believe it until you see it situations."
Of course, this was completely ridiculous and pointless in your mind, and you had half a mind to walk away with the girls and Koichi. Why bother when they were both clearly wrapped up in their own little world…? You mentally shrugged the thought away. You might as well be entertained. Jotaro had socked Josuke once, causing him to bleed, making the girls scream. Well, except for you of course.
"So noisy…" Jotaro grumbled, clearly irritated by the girls.
This, however, made Josuke land a strike on him. "Don't get distracted from the fight, old man! Or do you want to lose that bad?!"
It would have continued on longer, for sure. Josuke was plenty fast, although Jotaro seemed to be equally experienced, thus making the fight go on way longer than you thought it would be. You were just about to scold them and demand for them to stop, when suddenly, as if somebody paused time, just for a moment, and the winner was decided simply from that, with Josuke flat on the ground. Jotaro had won.
-
"...Anyways." Jotaro shrugged off the whole fight like it was no big deal. Even though he had won, he had managed to convince the girls to go away, so all four of you were left to your discussion again. "If you two are calmed down enough, take a look at these photos."
He handed Josuke the photos, and you and Koichi, curious to know what the hell was going on, decided to take a look. It was of… a man? And that ghostly figure…
"Your father, Joesph Joestar, had created these photos based on your name alone, Josuke. These were the photos that showed up."
You glanced at the photos, glanced at both of your friends, and almost as if you recited this line without missing a beat, "Who is this guy?"
"...I was getting to that." Jotaro facepalmed. Then he lifted his hand off his face once he had properly cooled down. Which seemed to be like instantaneously. "This man in this photo is Anjuro Katagiri. He recently escaped from prison. Men like him are left to hang. He's molested, kidnapped, and murdered three young boys. ...However when they tried to hang him, they couldn't. And that's when he escaped… You get the picture, don't you?"
"He has a Stand." Josuke concluded.
You felt your heart sink. ...So, there were bad guys too, who were able to be granted Stands. Although, you were quick to ask, "Wait, then how? How did he get his Stand?"
"That's a longer story, but how he got the Stand is by the Bow and Arrow. It's a powerful magical item that was dug up from Egypt and--"
Off in the distance, you heard the first bell ring. That only meant one thing… if they weren't there fast enough…
"That's the bell! I totally forgot about the entrance ceremony! If my mom finds out I missed that, she'll murder me! Koichi, Maki, get a move on!! Let's go, let's go!!" Josuke grabbed not just Koichi, but you as well.
Your eyes widened at being suddenly grabbed. "H-Hey…! We barely even know each other but our names…!"
Josuke gave a big grin to you two. "So what? We're in the same class. Besides, we've already been through so much together! So that automatically makes us friends!"
-
It was a miracle that you three managed to get to school on time and the day relatively passed without any trouble. The knowledge about a serial killer running around with a Stand though… it really didn't make the mood any better. If anything, that knowledge made you feel even worse. Going through the day, you were just bummed about that. Luckily you had Koichi and Josuke in the same class with you. In fact, your desk wasn't too far away from either of them. Odd how the seating worked like that.
"Hey, wanna go home together, Koichi?" You heard Josuke's voice, as you were waking up from a temporary nap. Somehow it tends to happen like that. Where you just fell asleep at the end of the day.
Koichi, who had been gathering his things, nodded. "Sure! Say, Maki, you wanna head home together?"
"I had nobody else to go home with. So I'm willing to come along if you guys have some places in mind." Which was true. Since you just moved into town, you had no clue of what surroundings were and the like... and you had some time to kill, to be honest.
Using his comb, he combed back his hair. "That's great, Koichi. Maki. Let's go."
After you collected your things, you followed Josuke and Koichi out of the school. You were getting slowly used to the environment. Morioh was a strange town indeed. Things in Osaka were much larger than Morioh in some senses. The night life was more active. Yet here, it was more countryside like still. You had to appreciate the quietness though. You were happy that you managed to make friends. You couldn't wait to text your friends about your new friends in Morioh. You always seemed to manage to make a small group of friends. ...Well, probably because you were a delinquent. You weren't exactly popular to begin with...
"Say, Maki. What's with your necklace there?" Koichi inquired, noticing that you were playing around with it.
You turned towards Koichi. "Oh, this? This is a necklace that one of my old friends in Osaka gave me. Asuka, Hibiki, Ryouichi, and myself have one. I think Ryouichi ordered it online but he probably could have gotten it locally... Each leaf has a meaning, ya know."
"Meaning? That's interesting. What does it mean?"
"The first leaf represents hope, the second stands for faith, the third is for love, and the fourth leaf brings luck to the finder." You recited from memory. Something that you were always proud of doing, to be honest.
Josuke glanced at your necklace. "Why does a four-leaf clover charm need a meaning, then...?"
"Eh, I don't know really. Ryouichi told me. I kinda recited it to memory, I guess..." You tucked away your necklace. Didn't want it out in the public eye. You preferred to keep it to yourself. You had some time to kill still, and it's not early evening yet... so...

What did you do next?
[] Get contact information from Koichi and Josuke. You want to keep in contact.
[] Go home. But that means going past the convenience store first...
[] You want to go out and explore the town with Koichi and Josuke. Maybe they can show you some cool highlights of the town!
