You looked towards When She Shines and nodded at her, while she had nodded back to you. You weren't a fool, Okuyasu clearly thought of himself as high and mighty. You just needed a moment. A single moment that would change things. Since he erased space, you figured that this would erase attacks too. He "erased" the space between yourself and Josuke and brought you guys closer to him. If you could capitalize on the fact that he had to take a swipe before he could use his ability...
Having a Stand made things easier. Although you weren't sure how this was going to play out this time. You weren't sure how strong The Hand really was. It was more of a gamble, more than not. It was odd how naturally attacks were coming to you now. It was almost as if you had a natural talent for it. But then again, you didn't know how far your potential really went yet, so you couldn't say you knew everything but...
"Sorry, Okuyasu, I'm not going to let that happen, ya know!" You smirked as Okuyasu was about to cut space, but you were quicker to the draw.
When She Shine's blade tip had become a whitish-blue and appeared to be concentrated. The beam had fired, although he had still pulled off cutting the space and you were drawn closer to him. You stared for a moment or two as the beam had disappeared.
"Where did it go?!" You looked left, right, and all around for the beam. Seriously you couldn't believe that your beam disappeared like that!
"Didn't I just tell you that I don't know! It just happens. Do I really need to know where it goes?" Okuyasu argued back.
"Maki! Duck!" You heard Josuke's voice as you thought you heard rattling behind you. Instinctively you ducked, and to see the results of Okuyasu being hit with several flowerpots.
Staring at him for a moment, you shuddered. Okuyasu's Stand had a threatening power... good thing he was an idiot, otherwise he would have been a major threat. "Yeesh. Good thing that you came up with that idea, ya know."
"Definitely. Now just to get Koichi and..." That's when Josuke stopped and noticed that there was a blood trial of where Koichi was supposed to be. "Goddamn it. It's never that easy, huh...? Let's go inside, Maki. Let me heal you, too. You keep makin' attacks left and right. What are you, a skilled legendary warrior reincarnated, Maki?"
"Hell no I ain't, ya know! Reincarnation hasn't been proven." You said pointedly.
"Anyways, we should go inside. I think that guy from upstairs dragged off Koichi." Josuke had deduced.
Although, you did wonder... creating moves like this wasn't normal. Your family history was becoming a bigger question here. It was odd that you were the child out of the Kunikida family who had not only activated to their Stand, but that your potential still was quite high. What else didn't you know about yourself and your Stand? What else could there possibly be...? As you sighed and shook your head, you followed Josuke inside the Nijimura "residence" as it were, unaware what fate had in store.
Skill Obtained: Aurora Beam - A short range attack that When She Shine uses with her sword. Unlike Luminous Rend, the light gets concentrated to the tip and shoots out beams. The range for this attack is 5 feet.
Carefully entering the house, it seemed that it was deprecated and long abandoned. You were surprised that the structure hadn't had rot. However, it was following the blood trial. Only to meet the other Nijimura brother. He stood tall and he was much more intimidating than his younger brother.
"Since the pair of you made it this far, I see this is fair as to introduce myself... I am Keicho Nijimura." Keicho had stated, as he had his grip on Koichi. You noted that he had an actual bow for the purposes of using the arrow to create Stands. And the one arrow that hit Koichi. "The arrow here is quite precious... I won't let anyone take it. I'll use Bad Company to ensure that."
"Well, too bad, we're going to take it. You already did a lot of damage. I'm not going to let you run around Morioh with that power." Josuke said.
"And you're going to answer to everything, too. You have a lot of explaining to do!" You exclaimed.
However, before more could be said on any side, a loud shout resounded in the air.
"I'm not defeated yeeeeeet...!"
Your eyes widened as Keicho stood by as tiny bullets had literally burned into Okuyasu's face. "You're stupid for standing directly in Bad Company's line of fire. I just lured both Josuke and Maki inside, too. Now it's my turn to finish up what you cannot. The Hand is powerful, Okuyasu, but you lack the brains to comprehend and that makes you useless. It's how they were so easy to get pass you, since they worked together."
Shots rang throughout the house now, and you barely were able to dodge, and you felt wounds opening up here and there, not as bad as from when you faced off with Okuyasu, but you were sure that if you didn't move, you would be dead on the spot. It was just how intense Keicho's Stand really was.
What were you going to do now...?

- Range is ranked as B. I didn't know how else to rank 30 meters, but I figured it would make sense.
- When She Shine's is a hybrid of close-range and long-range from what it looks like for now. Especially since there is no medium range.

The theories you all come up have interesting takes. Umineko Truths will come up often because they serve as a sort of detective mode for ya guys. And plus to spice things up. 
Probably at some point today I will close up votes. Like after 4 pm or so, Eastern Time. Or extend it to 11 pm. I know everyone has different time zones and all. That way so I can properly tally everything up and get plot progression going and make sure everyone got their votes in.
Days like these I wish I was at home and not trapped at work until 4 pm. Blehhh...

Gunshots rattle through the air, but you could care less about that now. You had to get through. You had to save Koichi. After all, he's your friend! Plus that rat bastard deserved to have a few teeth knocked out, too. This guy must have been so smug enough to think that he would be able to avoid not being able to be attacked. Probably must have thought that he could get away with whatever the fuck he wanted.
"So. You're trying to get in my way, huh?" The blond remarked, seeing you charge upstairs. It was obvious that Bad Company had quite the precision considering bullets began to pierce your right shoulder, seeing you as a mere target for obvious reasons.
"Of course! Koichi is my friend, asshole!" You would have been dead, if it wasn't for When She Shine's sword blocking a good majority of the shots, you probably would have ended up like Okuyasu. You weren't going to abandon Koichi. You've decided this purely on your own.
"Maki!" Josuke's voice you could hear, but you were too focused on attacking Keicho. You weren't going to let him have his way.
So close... almost going to make it... Koichi...! Your thoughts were swimming about saving your friend that you failed to notice that Bad Company had switched positions. Your back was unguarded. So much for defense.
"Fuck!" You spat, as you landed face first on the stairs. You weren't done yet. Not by a long shot! You grabbed the railing and clung onto it. Good thing that your Stand had some range to it. Otherwise this would really be a problem. Although Keicho seemed on guard now and he had dragged Koichi even further away from you. Blood poured out of your wounds...
God. Were you such a fool.
Although you were so sure that you were strong enough, again, somebody stronger came into play and started to give you the smack down. It wasn't ever that easy, was it...? Of course it shouldn't. If it was that easy, you would have saved Koichi by now.
Only one thing to do... You knew that When She Shines was flickering in and out. She wasn't as durable as you hoped, but, if you had any chance, you had to do something about this situation. You barely could see the results as you had felt your balance working against you and causing you to roll down the stairs quite painfully, and you had even found yourself quite a fair distance and back to where you had started. You and Josuke had been closer to the wall before the bullets started raining down.
Now you felt arms tug you and you noted that Josuke was above and if he wasn't there, your injuries would have killed you that time for sure.
"Maki, I commend you on bravery and all, but that..." Josuke seemed like he was going to scold you, but he only sighed. "Look, we'll talk later. The important thing is to try to get Koichi back..."
"Yeah... Although we don't know where the hell Bad Company is. Or what it is. All we know are the goddamn guns, and that's it. And those bullets are tough to deal with..." You rubbed the back of your head. You had a throbbing headache, but that was to be expected. Your body had been "fixed" - hence, it needed to re-adjust itself properly. Even though Josuke was really good at fixing with Crazy Diamond and knew what he was doing, it could still be a bitch to deal with side effects. Maybe because you were a Stand user like him, and you could perceive the pain? Or was it something else?
"Ughhh... my... face..." Okuyasu could barely speak, although that made sense. His face was shot in with bullets. Luckily for Okuyasu, since he had a Stand, he must have managed to be a bit more... durable. Although you weren't sure. Stands within itself was a strange prospect.
You and Josuke looked over him. And then Josuke had walked on over. "I'll heal you. On the condition you tell us where Keicho's Stand is. We need to save our friend. And we don't know how long he has left."
"I won't betray my brother to the likes of you two! I... wait. Huh?" Okuyasu's wounds were being healed, regardless of his answer, it seemed.
"Why did you heal me? I attacked you and your friends, and you just go and heal me like that? After all I did... you still..." Okuyasu stood dumbfounded, while Josuke had ensured that you were patched up to the best of his ability.
Josuke got up from his spot and bandaged himself up a bit. "Isn't it obvious? I don't wnat anyone to die. That means if Koichi dies, then your big brother will have what's coming to him. C'mon. Let's go, Maki."
Heading back into the house, it was eerily calm compared to not moments ago, a place filled with the sound of bullets. But then again since nobody outside could hear the bullets from a Stand, it really did mean that Stand users could die without people ever knowing the true cause. Unless, of course, they were Stand users themselves who heard the commotion. Bullet holes marred the surroundings, but it made sense considering the fact. Moving carefully was the key. You crept up the stairs carefully. Your skin prickled at the sensation and of the thought of failing Koichi. Of failing Josuke. And failing yourself.
Why did you have to be blessed and cursed by your own Stand's existence...?
You and Josuke had just arrived upstairs and found an obvious, open door in which clearly was a trap and the pair of you knew it. "So close... yet so far..."
"Ah, havin' problems? Let me help." Okuyasu had followed the pair of you, clearly, and he made you jump. You never expected that he would play follow the leader. "I know I said that I would never betray him... but you helped me out. So I'll do you this one favor as a man, and we're even. Got it?"
The Hand came forth and the space was erased, bringing you and Josuke right to where Koichi was laying. Before you could thank him, he was gone. At least with that, you didn't have to worry about Okuyasu. But you didn't know what it meant for the future. As Koichi was being healed by Josuke, he had finally started breathing again, sputtering coughing and all.
"Oh thank goodness... Any longer and I would have died..." Koichi wheezed, as both you and Josuke helped him to his feet. "Thank you for coming after me..."
Although, there was noises coming forward that unnerved everyone at the moment. "It must be Bad Company. Whatever it is, we're going to find out." He took a step or two forward, carefully. After all, whatever it had packed a punch.
"Are you fuckin' kidding me?!" Your exclamation to the fact that there were miniature troops. So that was where the bullets came from. And it sounded like they were military-based one. Following orders. Doing commands. And they were coming towards you, Josuke, and Koichi.
"10-4, encountering enemy forces. Shoot on sight! Aim..."
It was obvious that they weren't going to leave you alive. Probably considering that you ruined Keicho's plans if it had involved Koichi somehow. Surely you didn't want to be turned into swiss cheese again by these guys.
What are you going to do?

"So. You're trying to get in my way, huh?" The blond remarked, seeing you charge upstairs. It was obvious that Bad Company had quite the precision considering bullets began to pierce your right shoulder, seeing you as a mere target for obvious reasons.
"Of course! Koichi is my friend, asshole!" You would have been dead, if it wasn't for When She Shine's sword blocking a good majority of the shots, you probably would have ended up like Okuyasu. You weren't going to abandon Koichi. You've decided this purely on your own.
"Maki!" Josuke's voice you could hear, but you were too focused on attacking Keicho. You weren't going to let him have his way.
So close... almost going to make it... Koichi...! Your thoughts were swimming about saving your friend that you failed to notice that Bad Company had switched positions. Your back was unguarded. So much for defense.
"Fuck!" You spat, as you landed face first on the stairs. You weren't done yet. Not by a long shot! You grabbed the railing and clung onto it. Good thing that your Stand had some range to it. Otherwise this would really be a problem. Although Keicho seemed on guard now and he had dragged Koichi even further away from you. Blood poured out of your wounds...
God. Were you such a fool.
Although you were so sure that you were strong enough, again, somebody stronger came into play and started to give you the smack down. It wasn't ever that easy, was it...? Of course it shouldn't. If it was that easy, you would have saved Koichi by now.
Only one thing to do... You knew that When She Shines was flickering in and out. She wasn't as durable as you hoped, but, if you had any chance, you had to do something about this situation. You barely could see the results as you had felt your balance working against you and causing you to roll down the stairs quite painfully, and you had even found yourself quite a fair distance and back to where you had started. You and Josuke had been closer to the wall before the bullets started raining down.
Now you felt arms tug you and you noted that Josuke was above and if he wasn't there, your injuries would have killed you that time for sure.
"Maki, I commend you on bravery and all, but that..." Josuke seemed like he was going to scold you, but he only sighed. "Look, we'll talk later. The important thing is to try to get Koichi back..."
"Yeah... Although we don't know where the hell Bad Company is. Or what it is. All we know are the goddamn guns, and that's it. And those bullets are tough to deal with..." You rubbed the back of your head. You had a throbbing headache, but that was to be expected. Your body had been "fixed" - hence, it needed to re-adjust itself properly. Even though Josuke was really good at fixing with Crazy Diamond and knew what he was doing, it could still be a bitch to deal with side effects. Maybe because you were a Stand user like him, and you could perceive the pain? Or was it something else?
"Ughhh... my... face..." Okuyasu could barely speak, although that made sense. His face was shot in with bullets. Luckily for Okuyasu, since he had a Stand, he must have managed to be a bit more... durable. Although you weren't sure. Stands within itself was a strange prospect.
