[X] Ask Josuke about the bottle "Josuke out of curiousity where did you put away the bottle?"

Trust your paranoia Maki.

[X] Look around for bottle. Your suspicions are screaming at you to go and check around the place. It couldn't be what you think it is, right...?

Trust your paranoia Maki.

It's alright to trust paranoia... but are you sure Maki should trust it fully? Lots of things happened today... Maki might not remember why she's searching for the bottle in the first place... By that, I mean... choose widely. After all... somebody might die if you all make the wrong choice... :V

The song that Koichi had on play had already ended. Songs were usually short. Depending on the genre and type of music that the message intends to carry. Koichi took it off your hands and before switching out the tapes, he noticed the title, "'Apologize'...? That's an odd title. Why did you label it that?"

"...A long story. Probably I'd have to save it for a rainy day, perhaps." You said, as you looked off into the distance. "After all, that was her favorite time. As well as mine."

Koichi didn't voice in any more. He had placed the tape and the beautiful music had flown out of the speakers, piano playing that filled the room. For a bit, the pair of you just sat on his bed, listening to the music, not saying a word. Sometimes words were unnecessary in the whole grand scheme of things. You had a lot of regrets. Especially what happened to her. Though you never shown it on the surface, you had cared deeply for those who were close to you. The person who you thought about when you made that song held the same to you. She meant that much. When Asuka said you did weird things, you had often played the piano at off times in the night, pissing off the neighbors and your parents off as a result. It was a method of coping. To be fair, it really was a long story meant for a rainy day.

When finally you realized that the song had ended, you had looked over to the clock. You had to go to the meeting. "...I have to get going. I'll see you later." You rose from your spot in the bed.

"Oh, here's your tape. Don't forget it." Koichi mentioned, as he had gotten up to take out the tape and hand it back to you. "See you later, Maki!"

As you left, tape in hand, you clutched it tightly to you. Koichi and Josuke both reminded you of her. Why couldn't you get her out of your mind? After all... it wasn't like she would be able to talk to you back in the old days. It was just wishful thinking to have a new beginning in Morioh, perhaps.

[] You have a feeling that Jotaro could help you awaken your powers. Just ask him how to get in a position where your Stand can awaken. He's been in the Stand business longer than you. Maybe he knows something.

Huh, what wonder weird things did we got into before that she had to ask us this question?
I wonder if these two things are related in anyway.

And I made a write in answer in place of my vote a couple posts up.

To confirm, yes they are related! Now, the bigger question that comes into mind: who is this her that Maki refers to? A bit of a mystery coming into place.

You should think on this vote. Remember: Ryohei originally in canon is supposed to die. So you got to think carefully about your vote. It does involve discussion. Any tough decisions like this after all... can't be made lightly, now can it? :3

I'll keep votes open for a while, if you all want to keep on voting or do a write-in. And feel free to discuss here about votes or the like about the Quest here. Unless you guys want me to close the votes and start writing now, which I can do. :3

Yaaaay! It is lovely to have more votes. ; v ;

I shall close voting up tonight when I get home from work. But feel free to chat in here as much as you want! ♡

Alright. Closing up votes! So please stand-by for the story post!

A Fateful Choice
[X] Ask Josuke about the bottle. "Josuke, out of curiosity, where did you put away the bottle?"

Both Josuke and Jotaro were about to go into a deluge of talking, you could tell. Part of you felt your neck hair prickle. Were you really sure that you shouldn't be so casual about this? Your eyes were darting here and there, and you really weren't paying attention to them talking at the moment. You paced around slightly, unable to sit. You were sure something was missing. Something that should be here.

Your pacing must have caught Jotaro's attention. "Why are you pacing? We are holding the meeting, and you're not paying attention."

"C'mon, Maki... don't get Jotaro angry... please? I mean, we already have things going on and that really isn't helping!" Josuke said, as he kept his focus on you.

It wasn't like of you to pace, really, but you swore that there was a bottle somewhere... you wondered. You kept on pacing, this time in circles. It clearly irritated the pair of them. Although you weren't going to not think about it. Especially considering the fact that it might be important.

"Hey... Josuke, out of curiosity, where did you put away the bottle?" You piped up finally.

Josuke had looked appalled. "It took you that long to ask? Really. Maki. You got to reach to conclusions faster."

"The bottle... Josuke said that he has it. What about the bottle?" Jotaro folded his arms. He clearly wasn't amused with you behaving the way you were. You wouldn't blame him. You would be pissed if you were being told this while you were trying to discuss very crucial events.

You stamped your foot. "Where is the bottle? I want to know where it is! Answer the damn question instead of skirting around with it, guys! Seriously, I want to know where this bottle is!"

Josuke put his hands up. "There's... seriously no skirting around here, Maki... c'mon, calm down. Nobody would just up and pick up the bottle like that. Grandpa likes cognac anyways. When I caught Aqua Necklace, it was water. There's no way it could have changed..."

You weren't satisfied with that. "We don't know much about Aqua Necklace, do we? Do we really know whether or not Aqua Necklace didn't change forms or something? He possessed a guy, for god's sake. Are we just going to assume and hope for the best?"

"Calm down, Maki. I can see why you are frustrated, but there's no point in worrying about it." It seemed that your words weren't getting through to Jotaro. He seemed set in his ways that nothing potentially bad could be happening in regards to the bottle.

Your eyes locked with Jotaro's. "I can't be totally wrong about this, right? I mean, isn't it odd that Josuke hasn't brought up the bottle yet? Shouldn't it be in front of us right now as we are discussing this?!"

Both of them looked at each other. And then back at you. You felt frustrated. You couldn't be wrong. You had to be right sometimes, right? Even if it meant that your opinion was quite unpopular compared to them, you felt in this moment you couldn't be. Something was strange. That bottle had Aqua Necklace in it. If it hadn't been brought out yet, you would have normally assumed that it was in Josuke's room. Kept safe and away from whoever could potentially pick it up. Then again, you were't sure of anything. You were no genius.

"Maki, let's say that the bottle did disappear." Josuke stated, trying to reason with you. "If it did disappear, then who on earth would have it? My grandpa doesn't enjoy water. So the only person who would really be a potential victim is my mom. And I already saved her once already. Look, I'll grab the bottle and I'll prove that there's no worry in the slightest--"

It was clear that Josuke, who had gotten up himself, had gone to grab the bottle, to prove his point. Yet when he arrived at the location where the bottle supposedly had been, his voice cracked. "...I-It's gone. It was here! I swear it was..."

"It was there? In plain sight? What are you, an idiot?" A growl came from Jotaro. He jabbed his finger at Josuke. "You were responsible for the bottle, and yet you didn't bother putting it in a safe place? If Aqua Necklace gets out, it'll be all your fault!"

"Look, should we really be arguing right now? We should find the bottle before it's too late... we got to find it." Josuke had countered, even though he had winced at Jotaro's stinging words.

As you bit your lip, you couldn't figure it out. The knowledge of the bottle was missing. Although, you also had to consider the fact that even if you did find the bottle, you had to do something about the damn thing, too. God, there were so many factors that you felt like your headache was coming on. You were uncertain of what to do now.

-

Looks like the bottle is missing after all. What did you do next in regards to this discovery?

You can only choose one option. This decision is crucial. It involves getting creative for this one. Make it count.

[] Search with Josuke. You need to calm him down and he knows the layout of the house. You might have some difficulties, but it shouldn't be too hard to get Josuke on track.
[] Search with Jotaro. You and Jotaro are both level-headed right now. Two cool heads are better than one. You can get it done faster this way and capture Aqua Necklace, perhaps.
[] Try to convince them both to search with you. If the three of you used your heads, maybe it might work...? Although it looks like you all have different ideas about this...
[] Search on your own. You knew that if you were right once, you had to be right again, right? You might as well play devil's advocate and see if luck will favor you again.
[] Write-in about what to do considering about the missing bottle.

Alright, got the post up. I'm trying a new writing style, to see if it'll work better and be more cohesive and create more of an ambiance when it comes to my writing. I promise also to get back to doing tallies. I shouldn't be lazy with that, even though there were a ton of majority votes the last few rounds, too.

Quite a few votes coming up will have to be getting creative in regards of what to do, to warn you all now. It'll definitely involve discussion this time for sure. So make sure to plan this out.

We need to calm Josuke down and have jotaro look for the old man? Jotaro is faster than the both of us and knows where to look if Aqua necklace escaped. Josuke knows his grandfather's habits and where to find him if he grabbed the bottle we need him to calm down and think clearly.

Chimera is right. Let's go!

Any other votes? Or do you want me to close it now so we can get the show on the road? :V

Alright, I'm just gonna close up votes. The results are a majority vote, being all in favor for...

Fight or Flight
[X] Search with Josuke. You need to calm him down and he knows the layout of the house. You might have some difficulties, but it shouldn't be too hard to get Josuke on track.

Jotaro would be a bad decision, considering that he didn't really know the layout and other details regarding the house. It was better to get Josuke to calm down and to focus on what was going on. You grabbed his shoulder and squeezed. Not hard, but enough to grab his attention. It was embarrassing touching somebody else like this. You really didn't like being super insistent.

She definitely would have said that you were being a coward right now.

You were never good at being confident when you were younger. You had gotten better at this. She had built your confidence as a pianist. Encouraging you to sing, as well. Although you yourself weren't the best at that, either. Although she insisted that you were. That your kindness extended so much farther than anything, your loyalty and determination were your defining attributes, without a doubt. And it showed, despite being a delinquent, you were the type that wanted to help others. Even if it meant that you were going to be the one in trouble.

Having an older sister who always coddled you didn't help in regards of making choices for yourself. Heck, you swore that your family treated you like the baby of the family. Ever since she had been overseas, she sent a ton of letters, expecting that you were to make correspondence to each one, which you tried desperately until she sent more that you swore that you would be drowning in writing for. You loved your family, but having an overbearing family could be quite stressful.

If anything, having a Stand now meant that things were much different. That meant that you could be able to be useful. You always wanted to help out others for a change instead of yourself. Considering the fact that

"What? What?" Josuke had already been stressed out, so this didn't help him in the slightest, obviously. "What do you want, Maki? We need to find the bottle!"

"I know! So let's calm down first and think carefully!" Maki said, much to Jotaro's chagrin, who had gone to investigating the area where the bottle was last seen, who had been rummaging where it would potentially be.

Jotaro sighed. "It's nowhere here. I don't see it. I'm looking through every possible location in this room, but it doesn't seem to be here..."

It was clear that there was going to be panic in regards to trying to find the goddamn bottle of all things. Lord, did you know that you weren't good in situations of panic. Not only that, if you guys didn't find the bottle, somebody was going to get hurt. You were sure of it.

"Wait. It is a water-based Stand... if we run with the theory that it changes into a different color like you said..." Josuke's face turned pale. "Then that means my grandpa has it. We got to get that bottle away from him before it's too late! We gotta get to the living room..."

Three of you had rushed towards to where you all hoped the bottle wouldn't be... It wasn't too far away from the kitchen, so the three of you would be able to find Josuke's grandfather easily.

Only finding him about to open the cap of the bottle, that is.

"Don't open it!" Jotaro shouted, which shocked Ryohei, nearly dropping the bottle which both you and Josuke were shaking at the sight of it. If that bottle broke... it would free Aqua Necklace. Even if it didn't, there was the fact that Ryohei was about to drink it, too.

"Why not? I always drink a bottle of cognac after my evening shift..." Ryohei clearly was about ready to open the bottle yet again. "You children don't understand how hard it is to be a policeman."

"Umm... ummm..." You were trying to think up of excuses. You weren't coming up with any really fast. Your reaction time to stressful situations with people wasn't too well.

"It's way too warm, grandpa! It's been sitting out all day!" Josuke chimed in.

"Lies, the bottle is quite chilled. Josuke, do I need to stick the gun to you again, boy?" Ryohei stated, and seeing that both you and Jotaro were staring in horror at that remark, he had added, "It's a fake gun. I'd never hurt my only grandson. Can't take a joke? Kids these days... When I was your age, I didn't have to worry about not drinking a good bottle of cognac without being judged. Give an old man a break..."

God, this was dissolving faster than you expected. Any second, he would surely crack that bottle open and down what he had assumed to be alcohol when it was really was a Stand. It seemed that arguing wasn't going to work. You had to do something now.

"Sorry...!!" You rushed in, trying to wrestle the bottle from his hands. You wouldn't let anyone suffer. You decided that long ago when she suffered because of your horrible decision-making. If you had to remake anything, you would do it now.

However, during the struggle, the bottle slips from both of your grasps, smashing onto the carpeted flooring.

"Look what you did, child! Did you seriously have to do that?" Ryohei snapped at you, clearly astonished by your reckless behavior. "Didn't your parents teach you not to take things from others...?"

"I... I..." You didn't have any way to argue back. He was right, you shouldn't have done it. In all senses, you should have thought about your actions more carefully. How could you have been so foolish? Your emotions had overcame you and this certainly wasn't your proudest moments. You could feel Jotaro's prickling stare on you, even though you were just doing what you possibly could to prevent tragedy.

With every decision, however, came a price tag along with it. The contents of the smashed bottle began to reform into Aqua Necklace. He was creepy as ever to you, though! You couldn't believe that anyone could get an ugly Stand -- no, you couldn't really say it was, although you wanted to -- and have such a personality to boot. A stout humanoid with eyes drawn through its body. It was similar to the Dogu figurines that your older sister admired so much. ...Well, you could say for a fact that you never wanted to see one of those figurines after facing this particular Stand.

"You bitch... You ruined my perfect chance..." Aqua Necklace hissed, eyes bloodshot towards you. "I'm going to kill you first and I'm going to fucking enjoy it... No. Scratch that. I'll kill all of you. I don't think I'll let any of you go..."

Taking a defensive stance, you could feel your face heating up, this time from anger and disgust. You weren't going to let Anjuro have his way. Although it was made obvious that his target was Ryohei Hisgashikata. Anjuro must have a personal vendetta against him. If he had swallowed up Aqua Necklace... you shudder to think of the results of such of a thing...

The three of you could certainly take on Aqua Necklace. Although you worried about Josuke's grandfather, who would certainly be caught in the middle of this madness. Before any of you could make a move, Aqua Necklace had grabbed parts of the shattered bottle and tossed it in the direction of Ryohei. Using your back, you blindly shielded him from the blows. They were certainly sharp, carving into your back. Blood was pooling here and there in pockets, staining your uniform a bit.

You weigh your options and...

[] Use When She Shines to fight back. You're pissed and you have no qualms for those who use their power to harm others.
[] Use yourself to distract Aqua Necklace while the other three escape.
[] Get Jotaro to fight Aqua Necklace while Josuke heals you. Then you can fight properly.
[] Get Josuke to fight Aqua Necklace, he has a personal grudge against him. Then you and Jotaro can get Ryohei to safety.
[] Grab Ryohei and get him to safety.

[] Write in your strategy.

Sorry for such a late posting, everyone. I had work and it was swamped and... yeah, things went downhill from there. But it's here now! Haha... I really need to be able to plan out things in a more timely fashion. :V

Positive thing! It is here now though! And yes, I decided to switch up the battle system to be more flowing. I hope you guys like it~
