[X] Plan: Finball Bowling
-[X] See if the Emperor can contact the Rat King. PL can only be in one place at a time, but the Rat King has a lot of elderly friends who're about to get a visit from rude guests. Inform him of what you've learned.
-[X] Splitting forces against a more numerous foe just opens us to getting overwhelmed with numbers. Plan a route starting from Uncle Tung's place to other potential victims and deal with the Siracusans in each location.

I haven't played Ruina, normal or modded, and just started Lobotomy yesterday night. So, out of curiosity, what does the special move do?

From this and what i've gathered from the others the settings are fairly decently matched then, though Arknights power levels are sometimes frustratingly vague and ill-defined. Fucking up a building like that is about what Rosmontis did that one time in chapter 7 (Psychic Catgirl that throws around massive slabs of metal as weapons) who is considered very high-tier, but not quite on the level of the true monsters running around.
To bring back my Silverlance Pegasus comparison if i'm remembering correctly (which I very well might not be) the best examples we have are 1. Armorless Union goons scared that if they get noticed the Pegasi would just throw a spear through a building to kill em, and 2. a Silverlance stating that they would only need 3 of them to rinse a group of highly trained Armorless Union Assassins + the 4th(maybe) strongest assassin in the Union.

The thing about Arknights is that there are entire squads of high-tier people that are at the beck and call of various nations and factions, so there's both quantity and quality, but the gap between high-tier and higher-tier is absolutely monstrous, A single Emperor's Blade (arguably stronger but less numerous than the average Silverlance Pegasi, Special Forces vs Supersoldiers essentially) is terrifying, but Patriot, even half-dead from Oripathy and using outdated equipment scares off 3 just by showing up and tells them to bring more and when he's basically a dead man walking faces off against the previously mentioned Rosmontis, Amiya (MC) and Kal'tsit who are all powerhouses in their own right.

And the gap from Patriot and the "Greater-Scope Threats" like Ishar-Mla, The Demons, The Seaborn and Sui is even more whack. Sui basically just kills an entire country if it ever comes back, whether directly or through weakening it enough that it collapses in on it's own weight or opportunistic neighbors take the chance, and that's basically the strongest singular being we know of, with Ishar-Mla being presumably around the same level or maybe even stronger.
That and the variety of Arts and non-Arts shenanigans can get pretty out there.
Alright yeah thank you, from the way you described the Silverlance Pegasus, Id say wounded seig as his is now is probably about as strong as one. The biggest issue he has right now is his lack of a proper weapon. Though i think a full power Seig could probably qualify as a monster, especially if his powers aren't limited for fairness. though he'd definitely fall below the "Greater-Scope Threats" you mentioned. I'd say the best example for why I'd qualify him as a monster is how powerful Kali is. Kali is The Red Mist and is often called the Strongest Fixer, likely putting that building cutting feat from PT to shame casually since it's mentioned that basically nobody in the City is stronger than her in terms of raw power, though that's basically just rumors and hearsay since she was killed by an Arbiter, who are likely the true strongest people in the City.

I've noticed the Arknights and Project Moon worlds are actually quite similar in terms of power scaling (Even the vagueness and ill defined powerlevels), since Colors are about as strong as a normal person can get, yet there's so much more in the city that's significantly stronger than them, be it experiments of the wings, abnormalities or anything of the like, color fixers are definitely not the top of the city's power. But yeah, thanks this helps gimme a good idea of the general level of the Arknights world

Ehhhhh, yes and no.

Kali wasn't killed so much as she succumbed to her wounds after killing her way through an entire facility full of rampaging Abnormalities, two Claws (the City's taxmen / police force. They can punch you hard enough you break through several dimensions before coming back around to them if you give them a reason to.) and even then she managed to kill Garion while the Arbiter was gloating.

On the other hand, Arbiters are also known to wield Singularities as weapons. Fairy and Lock, for example, are conceptual weapons that can lock and open anything respectively. So they're definitely high up there in terms of power.

Color are different level on their own, but the normal power scaling is pretty close.
If you want to reach color, You will need to be...lets say destroy a city within five minutes or so at the very least.

From the evidence provided to us, it seems garion was indeed stronger than Kali, she got killed cuz she didn't know about ego and was gloating which opened up an opportunity for Kali to fatally wound her, this is evidenced by her holding Kali's arm showing they did indeed fight back in the lab and Kali lost, and this is further evidenced by geburah losing to binah during Angela's betrayal, stating something along the lines of things not going the same as before since she now knows of ego

I think we can say that Kali is the strongest, but Garion is more dangerous in general. It`s like a Limbus tweet where Roland cannot determine who is the strongest in the City right now, but unequivocally says that Vergilius is the most dangerous.

Strength is of course important, but it does not determine the Color. Blue siscon became the Color for the ability work with people.

Garion wins.
Every single thing in binahs move set Counters Kali.
So I'm reasonable to presume in her prime. Kali will have no chance defeating the great Arbiter of the head.
They have similar speed. one is range , one is close quarters. And one card that binah have just completely Cancels an attack, which is extremely useful to counter kalis 50+attack.
And lock can completely lock down Kalis attempt to Out speed Garion.
The only thing Kali is good at is facing a problem head on, which is extremely easy to counter.
Simply sidestep and make her use up her strength is good enough.
The only reason that she wins in old lab is purely because she got a lucky shot on a cocky arbiter.(Which didn't even kill her, Only make her paralyzed and cannot move. So ayin and gang scoop her brain out and squeeze it for all the knowledge inside of it and throw it into a metal box as she is feeling every single thing)
when Angela is doing her thing in l corp, This scenario happens again where gebura Fights binah head on, got her arms severed.
And that is a 1V1

Nah Kali wins 1v1 prime version.

Garion got her ass beat even when she got the advantage.

If you use Binah and Gebura as a battle then its way more different.

But Prime Kali will beat the shit out of Prime Garion everysingle time.

Also while Ruina mechanic makes it seems easy, you do know in Ruina, the player has the advantage right? Try using P+Space solo Binah and see how easy it is to beat Kali.

Super unrelated to Kali vs Garion.

Wouldn't Sieg's strength be more relative to the Blue Reverberation's strength? While both are strong in their own right, their main strength come from their ability to utilize people. Iirc, Sieg himself said some people in his office were stronger then him in certain aspects.

Abnormality classification are base on their abilities to kill mass amounts of people, and I might be wrong since I'm running on purely memories here, The Pianist wipeout like 80% of District 9's population within an instant and it was considered WAW (said to be between WAW and ALEPH) class. Blue Reverberation was originally called in to deal with it but the Black Silence got there first.

The Nest is called a province, and their population ranged within the few thousands, and that doesn't really covered the whole population nor size of District 9. Sieg should be stronger than that at full strength, but I don't think he could kill that many people as fast as the Pianist did tho.

I will disagree with you here, Kali is significantly weaker than Binah in both gameplay and story.

The first one is incorrect, Garion did practically nothing that fight, Kali won against 2 claws and a fuck ton of abnos but Garion was not fighting alongside them, when Garion stepped in Kali basically instantly lost her arm, the only reason Garion would feasibly lose to Kali was getting caught off guard while gloating with E.G.O

Note that the binah we see in Ruina is a Heavily weakened Garion having basically only the faintest remnants of her singularities, a close representation to what an arbiter should be capable of is Binah's core suppression in LC where she was very easily capable of instantly killing even Agents in Aleph gear, as well as being significantly more dangerous then Gebura was as a core suppression, despite that Gebura being physically much stronger than she was at her prime although much less skilled. And this core suppression Binah was also weaker than her prime as quoted by Myo:
"Guess she isn't a real Arbiter after all. But she does seem to be using some Singularities?" and "Fairy and Key, what annoying powers… And they're weakened too!"

As for the ruina mechanics thing, that's a pretty stupid comparison and also one that binah can also easily win with a bit of luck.

1.10 - Brace Up

"If they're going after the Rat King's friends… we need to warn him, no? Is it possible for us to contact them?" you note. It would be good to get some help.

"If these friends are already being attacked, he absolutely knows already. Think they have?" asks Texas.

You shake your head. No. They took a big hit recently and lost a major leader. According to Capone, Gambino isn't the true leader of this Syndicate- sorry, the "mafia," apparently. He just took it over recently. That means his control is shakier than it should be, and with this difficulty plus the necessity to sit down and lick his wounds, he'll be acting slowly.

"He's likely putting the plans in motion now. If we're fast, we can act quickly and secure their friends before they get too far."

As you speak, it's hard to not silently wonder if maybe this whole party thing was a mistake, in the end. Eh, the past is the past, no use crying over it. As long as you can still move to grasp the future, it's all fine and dandy.

"The old man has ears all over the city. I'll write 'em a letter- we just gotta hand it over. We can do that on the way." speaks Emperor.

"But wait- what are we going to do with that guy? Capone." asks Exusiai. Oh. You did not think of that. "We can't just leave him here, right? And you guys promised to hand him off to the L.G.D."

You shrug. It's not like you care too much about what happens to him. You didn't like him at all. You could just hand him off to get executed for betrayal without a second thought. Maybe it was better to not say that out loud, though.

Hm. You wonder where the Voice is now. She'd have chimed in with a comment by now.

To be frank, as much as you might joke about her being some kind of schizoid hallucination, you are absolutely aware that she is not. There is something dangerous about her. Not only is she very clearly connected to the Library- having strengthened in clearness and intensity as you came closer to it- but it has been reported that the victims of the Distortion Phenomena and the users of Psychoment have both experienced strange voices in their heads.

If there is one thing a Fixer should never do, is underestimate an opponent. Even if the enemy does not seem to exist at all. So the Voice being a no-show for now is… not something you're appreciating.

Croissant seems conflicted. "We could just bring the guy with us. If anything, we can get more out of 'em in the way! I'mma go get them here."

Seems about right. As the rest of Penguin Logistics readies themselves for battle, you take a step outside the bar. You have the feeling this is going to be a long night. Mostima walks at your side.

"Heya."

You take a look at her. She looks well-traveled, in your opinion. That black coat is ragged. It has been taken care of, but the wear and tear shows. And those staves… they give you a strange feeling. It is as if you could feel something inside of them.

When you gaze upon their metallic surface… It is almost like someone is staring back. How peculiar. It reminds you of these Ruins artifacts that you're paid to dig up, sometimes.

"Hello, Mostima." It is generally a good idea to be polite, when talking to people you don't know very well.

"So. How did you get working for Penguin Logistics? You look like you're out of place, here in Lungmen." she saw through you so easily… How interesting.

You shrug. "I have recently woken up in this city after a failed mission and got tangled with your little group's troubles. It's really nothing new for me."

She does not speak. You two just stare silently at the city's lights, for a few seconds.

"You're a long way from home, aren't you?"

…you guess that you are, yes. You nod.

"You got anyone to return to?"

You almost nod, but then… no. You're not sure. You're not even sure if Laser-Eye escaped that Arbiter. Emil almost certainly didn't. The rest of your Office might have survived. But again, you can never know. When you go home, it's quite likely that the Office might be empty. But that is something you can change, no? Return to the Library and get the books of your friends. Yes, that is what you must do.

"You don't have anyone… but you have something you need to do, back home." that serene smile… if you'd guess, you could say it hasn't left her face in years. "So take on these sights as long as you can. There's nothing wrong with a bit of thrill-seeking. Oh, they're already here."

With the sound of a car engine, you know that the rest of Penguin Logistics is ready. Crossiant has Capone in an over-the-shoulder carry. That's gotta be humiliating.

"Ready to go?" asks Texas, already on the driver's seat. Man, that was pretty quick.

You are Lappland Saluzzo, and you aren't in a good mood today. Well, you are, but it's less good of a mood then it usually should be.

You're supposed to be hunting down two traitors. "Capone," and "Gambino." They fled Siracusa to evade their responsibilities, it seems. Well, you can't have that, ha! You've been tracking their scent through Lungmen, and it seems that they've gotten involved with your dear little Texas. It sounded interesting, so you decided to let them live, and go after them after this was all over.

You can't rely on Texas to do the actual work, after all. She's changed so much. Why, you even think she'd let them go alive, if push came to shove! And you can't have that.

Maybe if you dragged the corpses of these two little puppies all the way to her little hidey-hole with the rest of her Messenger buddies, she's get into a more prim and proper state? Seems worth a try, ha! It sounds like your idea of a good time, making her face that past she's been trying to hide from once again.

But someone has been interrupting you! How interesting. Rumors of a strange, armored mercenary descending upon these dregs that call themselves "Sicilians," like a blazing star. It makes you want to let out a great and wide laugh, for all to hear! You can't let him make things too easy for dear Texas, can you? You'll involve yourself in this whole debacle a little sooner then you thought you would.

Hey, hey, who is this mysterious man after all to get between you and Texas? No one, that's who he is. Or she. The rumors weren't clear, we they? Not only is Texas shirking her duties, she's also letting other people handle them for her! How downright shameful...

It seems that, according to these very same rumors, the two traitors came to Penguin Logistics, alongside all these soldiers. Only Gambino left. Did Texas kill the crossbowman herself? Naaah. She's gotten cowardly. Not her style anymore, shame on her! They've likely captured him. You've go and have your meetup with Texas right now. No, you'll snatch Capone from her, then have the meetup! Get the traitor killed right in front of her eyes! That'll work her up. Maaaybe.

Ah, you almost forgot.

You've been interrogating this little man for almost an hour, now. He's one of Capone's lackeys. He's crying, now. Sad, really. Can this man even call himself a Siracusan? He just got his arms sliced off and he's already sobbing like a baby.

Oh well. You bury your blade in his skull. There's a wet sound, and then he's gone. You just toss the little baby's corpse inside of a dumpster and keep going your way. There's a finball seller nearby, according to the Great Foodie Guide. He has a stall and a shop. You're not certain if this finball seller, will be open right now... but maybe you can get some food while you search around for Texas.

Oh great, you're hungry now. Aaand the crystal growths are itching. What a pain. This entire situation is getting you so excited!

"You want to survive, don't you? You've spent so much time struggling. So much pain- so much agony. And yet you still try to hide that wish."

It hurts.

"Just like everyone else in this city- in this world. In both worlds. In the City, and in Terra. You're hiding. You're desperately trying to hide who you really are."

You don't want to listen to this voice anymore.

"You just have to tell me. What do you want, Capone."

Shut up.

"I won't judge you."

Shut up. You're a liar. Everyone judges you. Everyone has judged you, your entire life. Why should this voice be any different? You've spent your entire life under judgement.

Father judged you, when you had to kill that traitor. If you failed to kill him, he would deliver his punishment. You were so young. Why is it that you had to stain yourself with blood so soon. Could you not have simply lived your life? Teenagers here in Lungmen don't have to go and murder people for a living. You hate him so much.

Even your blood brother judged you. He was supposed to trust you. But he didn't. You failed to live up to his expectations. For not charging in, even if it would get everyone killed. You hate him so much.

You hate yourself for living as this disgusting thing. You can't even own up to your failures. You can't accept the veredict of your superiors. But you want to live. You need to live.

You hate this. You hate this. It hurts. It feels like there's a hundred mouths growing inside your skin. They want to scream, but they remain bound by flesh. Bound by your flesh.

"Why do you have to hate yourself for wanting to live? Is living not your right?"

Shut up. You want to scream. But the words don't leave your mouth. All of these mouths inside of you want to scream, too. They want to sob and cry and speak and screech and spew all the hate you have for all these people.

But you can't let them speak.

"There is nothing wrong with letting what you feel come out."

You're so, so tired. So tired.

Capone is not moving. You thought he'd be resisting or panicking right now. Instead, he's just... completely shut down. Well, you suppose people have different ways to manage stressful situations. One would think that working as a Syndicate leader for that much time would change their reaction to stress. Well, it's not your problem.

You're almost at the finball shop by now, and what is that you can see at the distance? "Siracusan mafioso." You think that's how you pronounce that word. They're just goons, it seems, surrounding an old man.

Hmm. It's time for a scrap, it seems. What will you do.

Oh dear
When I said he was another philip I didn't quite meant he'd be a multiple entities situation
I am starting to wonder If I should change my name to Usopp or Cassandra
Because it seems my words keep becoming quite literal

Ahh Mostima, my beloved, and Lock & Key-sama too, kyaaaa.
And Lappland makes an appearance, as violent and crazy as ever, makes you want to just pat her on the head really.

Never thought I'd feel bad for a video game mafia member
Also, uh, not to be awkward llama, but why do you keep saying Mostima my beloved? Is it a meme or something?
