Jaime, on the other hand … he's come to a resolution. There's been a ton of PoV's from his perspective, so it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out - if we want to disrupt the hurricane and the massive advantage it gives our foes, getting into his head and inflicting doubt upon him might be the most practical way to do it.
So, trying to convince him Adam is bonkers bananas?

...hmm

"The flag shall never fall, no matter what happens."

That is his gimmick, isn't it?

No matter how strong the storm is, how unbearable the enemy attack becomes, how terrible the situation turns into.... the flag shall never fall.

Then let's snap it in half.

"The flag shall never fall, no matter what happens."
I need to reread Darknights Memoirs, but there's a perfect rebuttal to that in there. Sarkaz Mercenary culture is brutal, but they know flags are just ephemeral scraps of cloth.

What actually matters is the standard bearer, the person who props up all those flags. Nations and their flags change all the time, but the poor schmucks suckered into dying for those flags never do.

When did Jamie start caring so much for the flag that he forgot the people under it?

We don't have a Sarkaz merc here with us, but Amiya being the King of Fiends, should suffice especially with her empath powers.

"Dying for a hollow sense of glory and knighthood, when has the flag becomes so important that you sacrifices your life for such a prop? Have you not realized that the flag is not important for a knight? For it is not the master who you serves makes you a knight. True knighthood is about protecting people! And what are you doing now!? you are a false knight, just like everyone in this god damn stadium! Have you lost your mind serving the freak behind you that you truly think that his version of humanity, the one that kills everyone that is not strong enough to continue their dreams fits for your view of knighthood!? he is a fraud! Come on now! Be the undying Chivalry that protects people and slay the darkness of night! For it is the people who matters! "

So, trying to convince him Adam is bonkers bananas?
Well, that would be ideal. Jaime is fundamentally a good person who wants to improve his wretched home, just like Nearl, and his friends at the Infected Knightclub would be sad if we killed him.

That being said, Adam has made him an Apostle, and even if there wasn't any mind-alteration going on (which evidence would strongly suggest) why on earth would Jamie have any reason not to think the best of him? Adam cured him of super-cancer and turned him into a Tournament-winning superhuman, and even now promises to give him so much more. What on earth could we say to convince the man that his savior is in truth a devil in disguise?

The answer isn't coming easily to me, but I think if we could pull it off, we absolutely should.

Alright. It's time to figure out an immediate plan of action.

Right now Jaime is being powered up by Adam, which makes his already monstrously powerful EGO even more overwhelming. The strategy we need to decide upon is whether to immediately try to interfere, or if we should try to hunker down and wait until Linette shows up with Mylnar to proc his ability and instantly win the fight, just like in my Arknights games.

Something to note is that Adam is specifically pissed at us, so he's likely to sic Ado on us while Jaime deals with the Library and Rhodes Island. Dosing bullets while being pinned down by the wind is going to be tricky, so hopefully this pose up is a boost and not constant.

I'm tempted to try and make our way to "Khaganquest" and see if we can un-distort him, as that feels like the most immediately useful way for Seig to contribute to the fight. Alternatively, maybe his Light abilities can harm Adam when physical attacks cannot?

I don't wanna hunker down, if we can do something to make our situation more favorable before reinforcements arrive the better. However I have no idea what to do. Connecting with Khaganquest might not take much time like with EP but that one wasn't on purpose so consciously doing so might be different. Though Sieg can potentially kill Jamie with one hit as well but he needs to get closer and I doubt they'll let him do that.

We should probably tell everyone about Adam being immune to physical attacks at the very least. Call up Abraham and have him disseminate Adam still flinching away from attacks and being affected by Gravity Arts.

...maybe have X focus down Adam? [CENSORED] is a pretty disturbing entity to fight, and while Adam might be immune to damage right now it's still a hell of a thing to have galloping right at you.

We can't really tell anyone what to do since we can only reach Arabella and Ayam and whatever Jamie is doing is blocking Abel from talking to us. Unless something changes we are on our own cut off from our allies.

Yeah, that's the tricky part about coming up with a plan. There's three separate groups operating on our side, and with Jaime's wind, none of us can communicate with each other, meaning that we have no idea what Rhodes Island or the Librarians will do and no way to coordinate our actions with them.

[X] Plan: Weathering the Storm
-[X] Boosted by Adam, Jaime's already powerful storm grants the enemy an incredible degree of environmental control, even cutting off communication between the groups. So long as it's active, coordination, movement, and attack are all heavily impaired. Hopefully, the boost will either wear off, or either of our allies will have a way of interfering.
-[X] Meanwhile, there is something that only you may be able to accomplish. "Khaganquest" is laying aside, crumpled and forgotten, but it may not be out of the fight. See if it's possible to communicate with the downed Distortion - ideally, you might be able to recuitate the poor fellow and gain another ally, but even being able to point it at a target instead of madly rampaging could be useful.
-[X] The dastardly duo are back, and most likely holding a grudge over their 'rough' treatment. Be prepared to endure their attention, protecting Arabella who currently cannot dodge.
-[X] ... Adam had no idea that Jaime had manifested an EGO instead of Distorting. Perhaps there's an opportunity here? You currently can't exactly speak over the storm, but if you can, tell X or Abel to do their mind-message thing to the Flagbearer - perhaps we can convince the man that his salvation had a catch. At the very least, learning more about what makes him tick might help in battling his EGO manifestation.

Here's my swing at attempting to try and peel Jaime away as well as giving us a basic plan of action. I don't think flipping the man will be easy, but sowing the seeds of doubt in his cause matters when their weapon is the psionic manifestation of a person's resolve. Best case scenario, we know Adonian was battling against Adam's control, and if the splinter has to do the same to Jaime, who knows if that's even still possible or if doing so would interfere with the EGO.

Well, I do believe Abel can with his funky mind powers. I'm not sure how useful it would be to have him as a messenger, and I don't know if he is able to speak to large groups at the same time.
He actually can't, the wind is messing with Abel's connection.
"A– boost! He's —- with his — blessing!" Abel says, but something seems to be interfering with the connection.

Also I don't think it's really necessary to protect Arabella and Ayam, they're both really tough to kill with arabella already surviving being chopped to pieces by the Thumb way back in the City. If anything protecting Ayam might be better since she isn't really used to getting shot at while Arabella can deal with it relatively easily.

The connection is seemingly being interfered with. Perhaps something can be done about it, but we don't know and can't affect the matter on our end.

I included a plan to try and use it to speak with Jaime, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work out and we'll need to do it in person or not at all.

I think the idea of damaging the flag has merit. It prevents us from communicating with our allies and offers too much control to Adam. The issue is in the fight between Tola and Jaime Tola was unable to land a single blow against the flag. We also need to deal with Adam and Andoian.

Undistorting Tola would be nice but it can't be a priority right now. At least they aren't a threat at the moment.

It's not that Tola didn't hit the flag, the flag is unbreakable so attacking it is completely pointless. I also don't think reasoning with Jamie is an option. While Andoain might be brainwashed, Jamie is fully on board at this point and breaking an EGO users resolve seems impossible to me.

[X] Plan: Weathering the Storm

Right now I think what we need to do is wait for Pinus Sylvestris to show up before we can adequately talk down or drive a wedge in Jamie's thought process. Even Jamie's acknowledged it in his POV- While Adam's been a swell guy to him, if it came down to him or the people he was fighting for...He's going with Pinus Sylvestris. Even more so now that he's carrying that dream of Kazimierz.

Meanwhile, what we need to do now is try and scrape every last little bit of time we can fucking get. There's so many people that're going to help us out, but right now we can't make contact with or communicate with any of them; Let's focus on surviving and possibly grabbing a new ally during this whole shitshow, and then retake the reins when we can...well, when we get communications back.

[X] Plan: Fruit Stall
-[X] Have Arabella and Ayam hunker down and focus on defense.
-[X] Try and communicate with your allies through Abel, tell them about Adam's tendency to flinch despite his invulnerability.
-[X] Adam's too far away to hear you, but flip him the bird anyways to taunt him. Focus on evasion and defense for now, and throw projectiles of light at your three foes to probe their defenses.
--[X] Try to glean if there's a gap or weakness in Jamie's application of his EGO.

Right, we ain't winning this fight with our communication cut off and so little information on how Jamie's EGO works.

We can't talk to anyone thanks to the interferance with Adam's mental link and the roar of the tornado means we can't shout for us to be heard either. That strips Sieg of his greatest tool against EGOs and egos, his speech.

That leaves us with nothing else but to probe for information that we can use. Sieg's a color fixer and a combat specialist, let's see if we can find something out about Jamie's EGO. New EGO users aren't the most adept at using their powers so we might find something we can use while we stall for 5 minutes until Linnette and Mlynar comes over.

Wait, sudden brainwave. We still have the Dreaming Current book, right? We just never used it. Maybe that'll come in handy right now, since mobility is such a problem.

Oh yeah, the unstoppable charge would be pretty good for us at this moment.

Jamie can't stop us if we just charge through his wind via funky sea juice.
Going straight in with the super charge is such a complete 180 on our current plans that I'm reluctant to throw everything out, and it could potentially leave Sieg in deep shit since nobody else will come with him on his charges.

Still ... Y'know what, I'm gonna do it. You only live once, let's ball.

[X] Plan: Hubris is a Coward's Word
-[X] So long as that storm is super-charged, the enemy has almost complete control over the field, to the point of even disrupting communications. If we're to last long enough for reinforcements without taking unacceptable casualties, that advantage has to at least be contested. The good news is that you've got something perfect for the job that the foe almost certainly won't see coming.
--[X] You've never used the Dreaming Current once, but its invincible charging ability is perfect for bulldozing through the Storm and getting at the terrible trio. Don't let them sit back and dominate the field - charge in, disrupt their formations and plans, before jumping out when the heat gets too thick.
-[X] Adam assumed that his pawn had distorted, which means his control over the Flagbearing Knight is imperfect. Once you're in close, see if the man can be convinced that his savior is a devil in disguise - bring up the kidnapping attempt on his Knightclub comrades, and Adam's true intentions. At the very least, you can distract the shard in the process and shed doubt on the EGO user.

Letting the foe control the field is a fool's gambit - keep them on their toes with an unexpected ploy and properly buy time for reinforcements to arrive. We've had the Dreaming Current kept back for long enough, it's time to see what it can do.

Don't we need Abel to like stabilized it or something?

Also I don't think it's really necessary to protect Arabella and Ayam, they're both really tough to kill with arabella already surviving being chopped to pieces by the Thumb way back in the City.
This reminded me that I did replayed the updated story for Cold Sun, I was streaming it for a friend and they pointed out that Sunny and the abnormally tall one (he's have to be like 200cm or something) were Omori references when we check their books as well. So Arabella got fucking dismembered by Omori references, I thought that was funny
