Those who have experience with Ayin's realization should chip in here and tell us what the genuine article Dreaming Current has in it's deck.
The long and short of it is: if you don't feed it enough candy, it goes apeshit. In the mod it uses a powerful mass attack that staggers on hit. Abram's pattern normally has him use this attack at set points but failing to feed it 2 candies per scene will trigger it prematurely. Abram gets significantly weaker the same scene he uses the mass attack, so that's your chance to lay the smackdown. Also the candy buffs Dreaming Current, so don't go feeding them all at once.

I don't think Abram is going to act the same here as he does in the mod. He's going directly for the grape candy, which isn't normal.

We definitely have a real fight coming up, like how it was with Eternal Persistence. The sea-fiends are nothing compared to how dangerous Dreaming Current is. Hopefully we make more efficient choices than we did the last big fight. The more we know, the better.

It would be preferable if we can kill all the Seaborn that arrived at Sal Viento so information and adaptation doesn't get spread to the rest. But I highly doubt we managed without one slipping away. But again, we can leave that to both the Inquisitions and the one Abyssal Hunter, both should be well aware of the important of killing them.

Abram seems like he's preparing for a fight but seems to intent to talk to Abel first. If we can defuse the sitution we might avoid a fight altogether

Currently, DC honestly sounds kinda not that dangerous. If Gladiia can match it's speed relatively well (In short burst) on land, we should be fine no?

Especially since Abel would be there to run interference and try to talk Abram down from his moddy mood moment.

Well, anyway. Heres my vote.

[X] Stay around for the cleanup after the battle. To make sure all the Seaborn/SeaFiends stay dead. Remember to burn their corpses.

That's the best case scenario. Picking a fight with a WAW class abnormally without qliphoth deterrent is a very bad idea. Diplomacy powers go!

Sure, we should go look for Arabella and Abram, but honestly speaking. Arabella is with a Hunter while Abram is going straight to us anyway. Might as well lead the HYPERMURDER SHARK towards the Sea Borns and Sea Fiends no?

The screenshot I took was from the event after Under Tide. The short burst of speed is more of a guess on my part. Another way you can see it is "She can move at supersonic speed even on land but would need to exert herself." Which I guess fit with fish, they intake oxygen through their gill while moving... or I'm thinking of shark.

Honestly, if we want to talk to Abram, we probably shouldn't forced him to fight first. We should look for Abram, and if the sitution go south, we run to the Seaborn vs Sea-Fiend battle.

I think there were references to the fact that Gladiia literally heats up too much internally when moving at speeds she would regularly use underwater. I think in one of those interludes unlocked on her profile and one of her lines as well, warning people not to touch her after battle, as they would literally burn (up?).

That's probably the thing limiting her speed the most.

We won't out run him though. But you gotta give me a plan here other than just that for me to be convinced.

Currently, Abram is treating the Seaborn as basically nothing given that hes' going through them like a shark swim through water. I don't see how he would care more if there are...what? A couple hundreds of Sea born that will also instantly die if he fights them?

...hmm, abram will show extreme hatred towards abel.
Because how? why?! how can that bastard that is even more useless then me move on before me! We are all supposed to drown in the pain that Carmens departure! We are all supposed to suffer eternally! How dare he move on?! How dare he leave us drowning here?! How dare he holds the one thing I so desperately want to get....
the Grape flavor candy... The little drop of memory... The love that I cannot get... The memory you want to move on from.

You do not deserve the candy...Abel.
" I wonder what today's flavor is... did master even remembered me?"
" Let's all submerge ourselves into the current....it'll be so much better to just give up...."
" Why do the world reject me of the only thing I want to hold!!!"
"I want to see the sea... Maybe then I can finally be free"
"Candy, candy, candy, candy, candy, candy, candy, candy....."

You're right, Talk 2. Overheating seems to be her limiter on land.

Unless Dreaming Current gain the ability to TURN or SWERVE without the Deterrence. We should be able to used the rooftop to easier dodge his charged.

So find a place to talk, preferably with some terrain that would hinder his ability to attack us. Something that would make his attack extremely telegraph.
If thing go south, we fucking run for the Sea-War, avoiding his charge by jumping onto the rooftop and using building to hinder his vision.
Using the power of MS PAINT, I will try to show what I mean.

...Okay; So, plans.

I don't think we're going to be able to grab everyone. As much as I do want to recruit the One Who Watches; or whatever it may go by now, undeveloped as it is, it's not something we should think about sticking our neck out for unless we have this situation on lockdown- Or unless the opportunity presents itself. Arabella's most likely gonna get Specter's help (VERY GOOD) and that should massively increase their chances of being able to carve their way out of the fuckfest about to go down, so we don't need to excessively worry as the Abyssal Hunters are probably gonna try to find her first too.

This means we're gonna be with Wympe and Capone (plus Inquisitors, if we don't send them away to handle any collateral from the upcoming bloodbath) to handle Abram. His behavior's changed. He's not using the Dreaming Current as it was in the fight; But the core concepts remain at least somewhat unchanged? A "necessary consumption of ideals to sustain the dream" in the form of the candy; Which by proxy can equate to the Sea of Colors mass attack if it's unsustainable. He's very fast- It's worth mentioning that the Dreaming Current's arguable best abno page is Dash (iirc at least) which adds a speed dice slot to a librarian.

Expect him to reasonably have an edge over us in action economy, if not outright dominating us; He's not being restrained by Qliphoth Deterrence or the mechanics of the Library. If necessary, or if he seems to be preparing something highly damaging, the candy.

It's tentative while we still don't understand him entirely; But in terms of dialogue plans, refute his dream- or rather, lead him into denying his own dream, and stepping forward even if reality hurts. Dreaming Current is all about complete escapism and blissful ignorance- Drugging oneself up to avoid the harsh reality. If he works on similar concepts to a Distortion, that could possibly work; But at this point it'd be better to wait and see with that one, and judge based on the situation.

[X] Meanwhile, Arson!
-[X] Ask about any other horrible fish abominations Iberia has in its oceans, because clearly this has nothing to do with you.
-[X] Mention that your friend Arabella is extraordinarily difficult to maim in the long term, and any injuries she has will be unlikely to prevent her from engaging in dramatically unhinged acts of violence on whatever comes out of that mess.
-[X] Suggest using this distraction to find where Quintus lives (the church) and leave behind a Fixer housewarming present, I.E. burn down his house with all the stuff you don't want to loot/rescue inside. This is a good time for it.

This all seems like really concerning stuff we can leave the Bishop holding the bag on, which is hilarious. He was planning to monologue dramatically and be mysterious and stuff, and then he gets run over by a bus made out of psychadelic religious analogies, hubris, unhealthy coping mechanisms, and vampirism. Let's be the cherry topping on his shit sunday and burn his house down before Arabella starts eating people she hallucinated to be Gladiaa, or something. It would get all our unstable maniacs pointed in the same direction, and it will be funny!

I've seen some people saying that dodging dreaming current it's going to be easy, but considering this is a quest that doesn't necessarily follow game logic (or at least it seems that way to me) I want people to remember that in LobCorp "The Dreaming Current" can teleport to wherever there's drug water.

How would the rainbow liquid work on land anyways?

Would it just be in a gaseous state or is it like a semi-liquid state?

If diplomacy fails then we can lure Abram to the seaborn horde, but the most likely case would be we meet Abram in the middle of the conflict. The best current scenario would be to just wait it out (Maybe engaging as a backup until DC comes crashing into the party like a drunkard with alcohol) and then maybe just maybe Abel can negotiate with Abram.

And if all of that fails... we got an entire group that can maybe take down or even subdues him. (if we have the 3 abyssal hunters of course)

The extreme bitterness that is Abram when you are pushing back against his giving up talk is so fitting for him.
Abel is cold fury, and in the end, he is only an old man, He failed long ago, And he has come to terms with this failure because he can never be the one that will save everyone, so in the end, he's only testing your strength.
Adam is straight up wrath.
but abram? Abram is bitter, extremely bitter, He hates you, he hates everything that is you, He cannot move on like you, he can not put down his self hatred.
So he will hate because hate is the only thing he can measure up now, He doesn't have hope, he cannot have happiness, and he will hate anyone and everyone that moves on.

Anyway, the liquid... Something like spilling oil in front of a moving thing and see it go down the hill?

Based on what Abel said, it seems to be both. Given that its a cloud of liquid.

Its better to say that the rainbow "liquid" is a space of "non-liquid" matter which get transformed into liquid.

Since it also allow the Current to move through space via teleportation, and slow down everything inside it, its not inaccurate to say that its unlike anything physical.

Oh one thing I just realized. Might want to make the abyssal hunters stay away from the Current's rainbow liquid. Abel mentioned that it can give hallucinations.

While it doesnt do anything to humans, I am not so sure what it will do to fish people like the Abyssal Hunters.

Edit: My mistake. The liquid only "heals" the mind and damage the body.

And that was in the detterence state. Still even with hallucinations we should be careful of the body damage it might do.

While it would be interesting as a science experiment, I would rather not have the Abyssal Hunters get high while they are stuck in the rainbow liquid trying to dodge an instant death attack (might not be instant death given how OP AHunters are though but still).

Which is another thing I also just realized. The rainbow liquid's slowing affect might not be just because its liquid (Discounting the fact that, it isnt liquid but a spartial anomaly converting space into Rainbow liquid of course).

Candies when they are dissolved is very sticky. And I can't imagine how difficult it is to move inside of that melting pod of drugs and candies. It might be in our best interest to not get stuck in the rainbow liquid of questionable nature period.

I'm pretty sure Abel didn't say anything about hallucinations. What he did say is that the rainbow liquid was supposed to damage the body and heal the mind but instead it just slowed people down.

the liquid Hurts the body but heals the mind, If you think about How does lobotomy corp heals the mind Then you will see where the hallucination part comes in, they use drugs that gets you extremely happy to heal your mind.
Which means, this stuff is somewhat like that.

So it's just pure liquified ecstasy.

Although the main question would be what course would we be going with.

With a skirmish on the horizon, I'd reckon we play a more passive role in the skirmish like a backline in case things get out of hand while we wait for Dreaming Current to arrive.

But that's too soon to tell if things will get even more out of hand.

The common way is in l corp to heal people's mind is inject drugs Or Use airborne ones In the break room, which doesn't sound good already, Then you learn about how lobotomy corporation heals already broken ones.
By breaking them again using mental damage.
Yeah, I won't touch that stuff if Im you, those things is at least corrosive and addictive.
