Its Human Rights Not Orcs Right. Somebody need A MASSIVE REVELATION about how this really works, preferably with Vulcan instead of more drastic methods ;)

So, I don't like this post, and the reasons why are a bit of a tangle.

1. The whole 'nonhuman hate' thing grates. Warhammer Fantasy greenskin society might be incompatible with that of other species and the only practicable solution available to people within the setting might be violence, but that doesn't mean we need to do the thing where we roleplay bloodthirsty enthusiasm for what amounts to a genocide.
2. You're being very glib about a topic that's uncomfortably close to breaking site rules.
3. You appear to be citing 40k canon to justify your views on Warhammer Fantasy. This is wrong. Don't do this.
4. I had to read parts of some extremely long 40k lore articles to figure out what this 'revelation' business was about, to figure out exactly what you meant by the 'drastic methods' that you seem to think would be an acceptable, though not preferable, price to pay for the person you're replying to seeing things your way. I still don't fully understand the extremely obscure lore in question but I don't think you're actually wishing a horrible fate on them. That it took this level of homework for me to determine that, however, is a problem. Please phrase your future communications with more care.

Man you have more dedication than I would have in your place. I'd have just kept it at 'keep 40K out of fantasy please'.

Sorry you had to read obscure 40K lore.

The Tide of Skjold

These guys basically jumped off the cover of a heavy metal album and decided to make it everyone else's problem.

They can go anywhere, fight anyone, steal anything.

They also have some really interesting religious philosophy and would probably be fascinating to talk to.

The Lamprey

Pretty interesting and unique pirate faction. As a former Lady of the Opera, she probably has a good appreciate of art and objects of aesthetic value. Pretty focused on Ulthuan and Bretonnia culture.

The Salt Lord

Vampire bats are cool, and would be a neat addition to our island. Capable of basic piracy, but also able to abduct valuable people for ransom. An interesting ability, but pretty specialised.

Princess Aelsabrim Fallenstar

In over her head, with weighty expectations and no support system. Controls an incredibly lucrative trade in beasts between Ulthuan and Lustria, and gives us a foot in the door with the royalty of Ulthuan.

Comes from Trianroc, which is a land of former beauty tarnished by disaster and betrayal, and whose people specialise in chariots.

Hmm, that sounds familiar.

Harbourmaster Tenebrel Reefwalker

A semi-corrupt officer with access to contraband, smuggling, and the seedier side of elven society. Pretty focused on fighting Druchii and worshipers of Atharti, but has contacts with other cults.

Can leak information about Asur naval activities to use, so we get first dibs on any loot.

If politics makes for strange bedfellows, then grudges make for stranger ones.

This is tricky, as the are all so tempting in different ways.

I think the elves would be the most useful to cultivate as contacts. But Tide of Skjold is, as has been pointed out, a heavy metal album cover come to life, and the idea of an undead crew rejected by even the worst gods is pretty cool.

Elves seem generally more likely to be welcomed in more places than the undead. And it's not like we'll have great difficulty getting in touch with some undead when it comes time to pursue an exception to that.

I'm pretty sure it is in fact a stated desire for a Space Marine Legion to conquer whatever person/nation/planet is being nice to non-humans. "Revelation" in gold refers to the Emperor of Mankind, Vulkan is one of the Primarchs. Combined with "drastic methods" its talking about the Great Crusade with lots of conquering, and drawing attention to the fact that lots of the Primarchs and their Space Marine Legions were psychotic murderous lunatics working for an empire. But Vulkan is one of the more compassionate and less psychotic Primarchs, and that attitude bleeds into his Space Marines. So at least it's preferred that the conquering is done by not completely murderous imperial assholes.

I thought the 'revelation' in question was about Vulkan's vision about the nature of the Orks. If they're just saying that the person they're replying to needs to be conquered and forcibly converted to the religion of an entirely different setting, that's even more tedious, even less related to the topic at hand, and completely invalidates the benefit of the doubt I was extending.

I thought they were referencing that time Vulkan's mind melded with the Beast's and he saw what the Beast was going to become.

Also sound completely unrelated to fantasy at all.

"Uncle Paht," says the living embodiment of insouciance draped haphazardly over his throne as you come in, and you search his eyes for recognition and find none. "My old haunt to your liking?"

I love how Lutr calls him Uncle Paht too. By implication, did everyone in Lahmia know him as 'uncle'? If so, that's cool and funny at the same time. All the Vampires are in a way his grandnephews and grandnieces, and I'm sure he's delighted to have such a large family.
