-[x] Why does Haruno Sakura have a nameplate, she isn't from a Clan like most, or seem important like Uzumaki-san, Iruka-sensei, Father or Lord

As much as I would love herbalism, I get the feeling that "leave immediately" will give us a random encounter rather than just losing a training action for no benefit at all.

For those who are voting to look up history and Observe Sakura I just want to point out that doing so for both actions means that we are deliberately overlooking Naruto's isolation. I rather befriend him and then do the research later.

No. I just prefer socializing before research.

On the flip side, Sakura isn't going anywhere and Hinata can Observe her later. I went for the socializing + history combo.

Eh.

I don't want to socialize with both of our actions. I think the Hyuga clan, and Hinata specifically, tend towards observation first, and action second.

That being said, I don't want to immediately talk to Naruto either. Yes we have motivation to do so, but at the same time he must come off as intimidating. Think of how our father reacted just at the mention of his title. That intensity, the wards, the S-rank secret.

With our timid nature, I think it'd be more our speed to work up to talking to him by first talking at all.

Step one: Learn.
-Learn more about Naruto, our 'goal', and observe Sakura, our first challenge.

Step 2: Talk to Sakura
-Learn basic interaction skills (literally, via the Gamer)

Step ???: Talk to Naruto
After we've learned more about him, and gained a few social skills and a bit of confidence, we work up our resolve and talk to this lonely hero. Ideally this would happen in less than a week.

Secondary goals:
Git Gud
-Naruto and Sasuke are both level 5, compared to their weaker classmates and ourselves. How do we rank up?

Social-butterfly
-After talking to Sakura, her friend Ino is naturally not far off. From there we can meet most of our classmates and make many friends.

Proper observation
-Sakura is somehow special, Naruto is an S-rank secret, but what about the rest of the titles? It only seems to happen to clan kids or important people... But maybe it's just that the clan kids are important people? Learn more about the people with titles, via observation, study, and actually talking to them.

All that being said, this is my new vote.

Exactly. researching him first is not "abandoning him forever", it is actively taking small steps towards an end goal of befriending him in a realistic transition from shy girl towards someone who can work up the courage to speak to her crush
Actually, the sakura thing would work well too because sakura will totally ship us with naruto because that way she is rid of his constant propositioning.

Hmm... So, Hiruzen seems like an "essential" character from that unique nameplate. That does not bode well for his fight with Orochimaru.

Inevitably true, but I want to move away from this line of thinking.

I'm not a shipper. I've only really ever shipped two couples: Oliver and Felicity from Arrow, and Naruhina.

Keeping that in mind, I still very much want to discourage immediate romantic thoughts. Even between the first ship I ever supported.

Aside from the fact that we're young children, we've also just met him. Canonically, Hinata was first saved by him, and then admired his hard work and optimistic attitude.

We've only just met him in this text, and I'm actually a little bit disappointed by how obviously we're written as immediately falling in love with him.

I want to move away from this way of thinking, and develop a relationship first as friends. With all of our classmates. What happens after that happens, but let's not force it.

Actually, the sakura thing would work well too because sakura will totally ship us with naruto because that way she is rid of his constant propositioning.
Is this actually happening yet? To the best of my knowledge, this starts happening later on, after Sakura becomes a fangirl and ends her friendship with Ino.

We're not that far.

Actually I'm confused about where in the timeline we are. First year of school or not? How are Sakura and Ino already friends if it is the first year (it took Sakura being bullied and a bit of time before it happened), and how did we not know any of these people if it's not our first year?

Well, I guess I have to keep in mind that this isn't canon, and accept the changes as they appear.

Anyways, tl:dr don't ship 10 year olds

Edit: also I'm mildly amused that 100% of the couples I wanted to see together got together. Ayooo

2. you voted for 3 out of 2 actions. each person on social is one whole action

I liked Redzonejoe's reasoning. Technically, multiple other combinations could fit his criteria too, but I'll lend my support. :)

-[X]With Ino and Sakura. They don't intimidate you as much as others. Also, Ino is another clan heiress, so you probably can find some common ground and it'd be a friendship which would definitely be approved by your family. Sakura seems as awkward as yourself, so you can relate and there must be something about her if she's the only exception to the title rule.

Again, that wasn't what I was saying, I just, personally, prefer socializing over research, simply because I don't think Hinata is shy. Remember, this Hinata does not have the same self esteem issues that the older Hinata has - in canon she went through the academy and got consistently outshone by Neji and therefore disappointed her father. This Hiashi, however, knows that there is more to his daughter then what meets the eye. At this point, at 10, her personality is what we make of it - whether she approaches her problem head on or takes an indirect approach. Whether she prefers making friends, studying on her own, or a bit of both.

I'm actually a little bit disappointed by how obviously we're written as immediately falling in love with him.

I'm sorry you read it that way. I was actually trying to avoid that for mostly the same reasons you cite.

But my explanations are, Uzumaki is clearly a singled out individual. And thinking of it from the logic viewpoint of someone who knows nothing about Naruto's Character, You have a character that is seemingly shunned by the whole village, But then you find out that he saved the whole village from something. Saving the whole village from something is supposed to be a good thing right? So why is he Shunned? Something doesn't add up.

We're not that far.

That would be because I am bad at following/Reading timelines, and is entirely the fault of my bad writing. I apologize.

In my defense though, they are just starting school, they've got three years to get to that point, and that you should remember that there are unnamed NPCs in most of the scenes so far. don't be blinded by the named characters. You make up just barely under Half of Iruka's class room. (The initial episodes class as I recall has other Uchiha fangirls, not just Ino and Sakura, and a small number of unnamed boys to fill in the background.)

On the other hand, it's a secret that could get us killed and our dad is clearly concerned, possibly even scared, of us getting involved with him,

Shouldn't we be, you know, at least a little wary of him, or at least wary of worrying our father who, despite us having problems with, we clearly love?

If my parent's acted like this about someone I'd probably stay away from them, because I feel like a horrible person when I deliberately do something I know will worry my parents.

I appreciate what you're saying, but I personally feel like that's something that'd normally take more time. Little things we notice that build up.

"Oh, he's eating lunch alone. That's weird."
"Oh, he's alone again today. Is he a loner?"
"Why does he never have parents to pick him up at the end of the day?"
"Oh, he's alone during recess too... And he doesn't look very happy about it."
"Hey, he's talking to somebody! Oh, they've walked away. He looks sad... Something isn't right."

But this isn't normal is it? The nameplates to draw us to him immediately, and some light, insightful Hyuuga observation..

That said, most kids usually only shun him after their parents shoo him away. Perhaps they've warned their children off in advance? Well that's not something we'd know about right now anyways.

Daw, don't be too hard on yourself. It's easy for one of the dozens of fans reading a fanfiction story to find flaws in almost any material. No fanfiction will match canon 100%, otherwise why write it?

Starting ninja-school at 10 makes more sense than canon anyways, and students getting to know each other before settling into firm groups makes sense too. Even the three big camps they seem to be part of now are just recruiting grounds for long-term friendships.

No, I'm sorry if I'm being blinded by canon. Your story is it's own work, and I intend to judge it by it's own merits. That said, I'm looking forward to reading more :)
