Hyrule: Total War Apocalypse

Clearly we need to Waifu Midna and form a grand alliance to free the land from the oppression of the Hylian nobles.

Can't we just surrender to Zelda if she demands it and unite as a vassal-state of a larger empire?
well sure.... I mean if you want to give up any chance of self-determination. Ordona was a PROVINCE of Hyrule, sure they treated you decently but you were not even allowed your own army or capital. You were 2nd class citizens within Hyrule proper and they had their own troops stationed in some of your towns before they were recalled recently. (because Twili invasion.)

The relationship here is NOT that of equals but alike to the way Sparta conquered, they did the military the people they conquered farmed for them and did other such peasant work. though a bit like Rome too in that you could join Hyrules armies but they would never let you advance beyond the lower ranks regardless of skill and ability.

Well.... I think that when we will have our own army of hoplite/mongol/cataphracts, maybe that we should give her a little "hello bitch, remember me ?"
problem with that is the reason Hyrule was so dominant for so long is because they have always had the strongest MORTAL army.

They also have a bit of everything in their army making it VERY balanced. But ya they could beat the Zora, the Goron, the Gerudo, the Blin tribes, etc. The only reason Zant was able to take Hyrule was because 1 surprise attack and 2 he hit with 10/10 superheavy shock infantry directly in the capital. Hyrule couldn't even gather its armies to fight back, but if they could have they would have beaten Zant and the Twili.

you can only heal it through magic or certain specific other means that I'm not mentioning until you have a reason to look into it. Atm you are too busy with the Blin tribes.
Perhaps Divine Intervention or Divine Aid might be useful. They are, after all, substantially more present than our own IRL deities...
Getting those temples once the threat of Blin invasion is over would be an idea.

Yep looks like we're going to have to shank Zelda sooner or later. Good thing twilight princess Zelda is my least favorite version.

Come on you guys vote Plan here it comes so we can finally get our horse archers and have our central unit type in hand.

Can't we just surrender to Zelda if she demands it and unite as a vassal-state of a larger empire?

And submit to the Hylian oppressor ? Never !

And seriously were is the interest ?

They also have a bit of everything in their army making it VERY balanced. Well there is a begin at all. China was defeat by mongol, the roman empire was defeat by Parthian, Byzantian empire wa defeat by Sassanid. our army will maybe not be so balance than the Hylian army but we can build something who can defeat them. It's not for nothing than cavalry peoples were so feared. ;)

Come on you guys vote Plan here it comes so we can finally get our horse archers and have our central unit type in hand.

You take me by the feelings :p

to be fair I think the main reason they don't is so they can vote for it next turn after you have a ranged option for bombarding enemies from atop the walls.

EDIT: AKA they want the Rangers before the horse archers.

Alright spreadsheet is here this should help with costing for plans. Note that column G should be used as follow- if temp rupee upkeep for multi turn action add here, or if permanent rupee upkeep and it is the last turn of the action add it here as well. An example is Raining Rocks has +100 upkeep once it finishes, now if we assume it goes for 3 turns that 100 would not be added until turn 7.

Let me know if you have any questions or additional features that you might want.

Right now the sheet has Plan Establishing Defensive Measures entered.

Hello Questers I am here to inform you on behalf of san that do to current events san will be unable to make any posts in his quests do to a ban. Sorry for the inconvenience Ban Time is 1 Week

alright I am back and almost have the update basically done, but I have to do a couple of things before I can get this out today. I will have it updated sometime between late morning and late afternoon.

ARC 1: Turn 5: Still no Blin! Major attack very likely, get more troops! !!!Results!!!
'Well this year has been a year of both great and terrible news.' Link sighed after looking at the scouting report in front of him.

'The Moblins are going to be a major problem going forward, we will need to expand our army size fast if we want to survive the coming onslaught. Good thing the expansion of the training grounds went so well. Also there shouldn't be too many problems claiming Malonville as part of my kingdom and removing some of the population burden.' Link thought with a frown before giving a slight smile.

'Once we have Malonville and the surrounding area we can probably establish another fortress-town between the western mountains and this new landbridge. That will keep the northern border safe from any kind of flanking assault by the Moblins and protect us from any kind of attack originating from the former lands of Hyrule.' Link nodded as he planned out some of his likely future actions.

'Yes, despite the news of the Moblins fortifications and new determination to hold Ordon plains and get us out of them, this year has been a good year.' Link smiled as he thought about all the success that year.

[X] Plan Establishing Defensive Measures
Military:
-[X] Establish Training Grounds lvl 2 --[X] Assign Rusl --[X] Assign Imperial Authority
Roll: 121 CRITICAL SUCCESS!
Rusl really came through for you this year. Not only did he make the training grounds larger than was originally planned with more divided areas, but he also managed to complete it within the year rather than taking the 2nd year. Though he was forced to pay the workers extra and all the resource costs right away, though at the same time he was able to lower the stone costs slightly.

Rewards: INSTANT COMPLETION! -800 rupees, -400 stone, -700 wood Increased levels of success on each roll, can train up to 5 different types of troops at a time, can recruit up to 5000 troops a turn. Can now upgrade barracks after it is built, can now upgrade missile range to train missile troops better.

-[X] Train Light Infantry (bow + sword) {bowmen}--[X] Assign 2 Imperial Authority
Roll: 79 Large success!
Alongside the training grounds being increased in size you were able to make sure a full 1000 new light bow infantry were trained. You will be calling them archers since that is what they are, regardless of Rusl's protests that the longswords turn them into swordsmen with bows.
Rewards: -500 rupees, -200 wood, -150 metal, +100 rupees troop upkeep, +1000 light infantry, New unit type divined *Archers*.

-[X] Raining rocks --[X] Assign 2 Imperial Authority
Roll: 112 CRITICAL SUCCESS!
It turns out that among the Hylian people who joined your kingdom there was a former military engineer! While he was VERY expensive to hire, under his direction the workers not only completed all the Onagers on the towers within a year, but they also built five trebuchets as well! With the sheer number of siege weapons now built in Ordontown the likelyhood of the Moblins taking it seems non-existent.

Rewards: -900 rupees, -600 wood, -300 stone, -100 metal, +200 rupees upkeep, Onagers built on every tower of Ordontown's walls, Discovered *trebuchet* technology, built 5 trebuchets in Ordontown 2 on the west side, 2 on the south side, 1 on the east side.

Administration:
-[X] Stimulate Internal Trade --[X] Assign Malo --[X] Assign 2 Imperial Authority
Roll: 135 CRITICAL SUCCESS!
By the Golden Goddesses Malo must be blessed by Nayru with how good he is at organization, convincing people he is right, and economics. He went above and beyond AGAIN and boosted your kingdoms trade all around with how little rupees he used. He also decided to make a Malo mart with some of the funds. Yes this is a bit of embezzlement, but with how well he is doing you could care less. Besides he lost both his old Malo marts to the apocolypse, he earned the right to have funding for a new one.

Rewards: -400 rupees +900 Trade income, +1 racial/faction influence with Ordonian Lords/merchants, increased racial/faction influence with Hylian Lords/merchants, +1 Administration for Malo.

Intrigue:
-[X] Send scouts southwest --[X] Assign Telma --[X] Assign Imperial Authority
Roll: 127 CRITICAL SUCCESS!
Well... you finally learned why the Moblins never invaded you. They have been too busy setting up their own massive series of defenses to solidify their hold over Ordon Plains. Not only have they built a proper full sized Fortress in the center of it, but they also built at least a dozen small fortified camps throughout the plains. If you ever intend to take back Ordon plains for your people, you will be in for a full out war.

The scouts also thankfully managed to take out a small group of roaming Moblins and discovered communications between the main fortress and the Moblins homeland on them. The communications were plans of attack against you and your people! it turns out they are gathering their forces and intend to attack you within 1-3 years, the exact time of attack will depend on how quickly Moblins can be spared from their fighting with the other two Blin tribes to fight you. They intend to attack with a force of 40-60,000 Moblins of various types and several Giga boars making the coming battle to be very terrifying.

Rewards: -100 rupees, Revealed Ordon Plains, discovered new Moblin Fortress in central Ordon plains, learned roughly when the moblins will attack, Learned numbers the Moblins plan to attack with.

-[X] Send scouts Northwest --[X] Assign 2 Imperial Authority
Roll: 56 Medium success.
While the scouts sent to the southwest had great success no matter how terrible the information they found was, The scouts sent Northwest gained far less information. However the information they found was nearly as astonishing. The goddesses wrath was apparently far worse than you thought it would be. It was so great that the split Lake Hylia in twain creating a massive land bridge in the middle turning it into two different lakes with greater overall size and also giving rise to several islands all around the lakes.

On top of this you're scouts found out that Malonville still exists though it is in partial ruins from the very land it sits on having shaken so heavily from the Goddesses rage that its buildings began to fall apart. Your scouts also went along the lakes western edge to check out the old trading towns and found that while the two southernmost ones are at least somewhat intact the two northern towns are in near complete ruins. The scouts decided not to go any further along the northern edge of the lakes after reaching the other side of the land bridge and scouting across it. They found the bridge to be covered with grass and the odd very young tree though many parts are still dirt.

The concluding report of the scouts is that Malonville and the two southern trading towns are able to be fixed up as long as you are willing to put in some work doing so. Though that won't hold true forever and you should at least take over Malonville and the surrounding area soon even if you ignore the other two towns. They also believe the rest of Hyrule to have suffered a far worse fate.

Rewards: -100 rupees, revealed Lake Hylia and surrounding area, gained an idea of how bad the apocalypse was, no survivors encountered.

Research:
-[X] Build a Library --[X] Shad --[X] Assign Imperial Authority
Roll: 84 Large success!
Shad came through for you in building that library you wanted and combined with all the books he rescued and the few you were able to find in Ordonna it is decently well stocked now. With it all future research should be much easier, and combined with Shad helping you, it should let you train yourself in research and learning at a far swifter rate than before.
Rewards: -300 rupees, - 200 stone, -100 wood, +3 to all future research actions, +5 to training research stat.

treasury/resources at the end of the year:

Rupees: -1280 in bank, +4400 from taxes, +1800 from trade. +200 from other sources.

Food: natural food level 5.

Stone: 300 in stockpiles, +1100 income.

Wood: 0 in stockpiles, +900 income.

Metal: 600 in stockpiles, +500 income.

Turn ends here

There you go... fking insanely ridiculous rolls, I swear to god I am NOT manipulating any of these in any way and I am upping the HELL out of the difficulty level of your enemies because of how good these rolls were.

Anyway while the initial attack is weaker now in terms of numbers I will warn you it is backed by elephant sized boars (Giga boars) and they will be attacking more often and with stronger armies. Plus if you ever want to retake Ordon plains you will need to oust them from it which will require a full on army with siege equipment.

The walls of their fortress are wooden though so don't worry too much about that, they don't use stone.

crap, crap, crap, crap!!!

the dice have turned Sans into a monster! we need better rolls until he gives up the ghost!

or we just need to get an army on the way STAT!

Just so you all know, the new map of the lands your scouts found is in the map area of informational.

Updated your troops, upkeep, Authority, and stuff too in nation status and the like.

Check those out if you want to know how strong your new troops are.

Those crits! 5k troops a turn is exactly what we neeed in terms of capacity. Hmm no contact still with other survivors.

Edit also crit on trade income and now we have more authority!

Will update spreadsheet for turn planning with increased admin for adviser
