Like what? Cell phones are pretty damn impressive these days, and Puella Magi has more advanced tech than the real world.

[X] Cybernetic arm with a built in computer
[X] Talk with Madoka about her vampirism

Blade arm lost by one vote.
FFFFFFFFU- (busy covering someone's work shift)

Wait, but we totally won that if you include the Black-key votes which is basically the same thing just being more specific!!!

[X] Cybernetic arm with a built in computer
No. of votes: 6

[x] Cybernetic arm with an extendable blade built into the forearm
No. of votes: 4

[X]Cybernetic arm with an extendable blade.
No. of votes: 1

[X] Cybernetic arm with a set of Black Keys built into the forearm.
No. of votes: 1
Ψυχή

[X] Cybernetic arm with a device that stores a set of Black Keys in the arm and either pops them from the knuckles to be used as claws or fires them at high speeds.
No. of votes: 1
RexHeller

Properly including all blade-based votes overcomes the vote by 1!

Uh... No not really...
Well now we don't if you include all the people that keep voting past the closed-vote line, but blade stuffs were meant to be blade-stuffs and tied into the same vote, even if they weren't the same kind of blade...

And now I realize how bummed I am at just a computer in our arm...

Doesn't matter. The votes were spread out, which gave them less power.
I mean, you can arbitrarily exclude votes including "Cybernetic arm with an extendable blade built into the forearm" vs just "Cybernetic arm with an extendable blade" but that doesn't make it fair...

Me and Rex were just building on the same blade-arm-based idea, after all.
I think I'll consult this with LostDeviljho.
Realistically 2 other people showed up post vote-closing to throw in their two cents for computer, so you could just add them in and crush us anyways, but either way is a kind of technicality for us to lose, whether it's just because Dex and I didn't remember to build the vote specifically to be part of the other vote or counting extra.

Either way, I respect your decision and appreciate you reconsidering.

Just realized... Blade didn't clearly win the first because of the grappling hook...!

:V

You know what, screw it, I'll leave it to the dice.

1 for Computer arm.
2 for Blade Arm.
In the future, please don't settle anything other than long tied by dice. It trivializes the other voters. Honestly, I don't have a probably with very similar votes lumped together like arm and forearm, however, I feel like Black Key roboarm is very different from Bladearm. I would have been fine if Black Key won, but not if Blade won. Plus, in this case, two people came in and voted against the bladearm, so it still should have lost. Don't give in to a vocal minority, instead of the actual majority.

No, it would have been a technicality if you won. If you write a vote write in different from the orginal, it is reasonable to assume it will not be counted with the original. If it is, it partially defeats the point of making a write in, namely presenting an alternete option, not a bit that says "I like my write in, but if X option is about to win, lump it in with Y." If that is the case, we might as well do preferential voting.

I would also like to point out that you are literally the only one objecting.

I perceive counting the late-comers as its own technicality, but clearly that's not the point:

That's just it, though (especially in reference to your earlier point about how the same/different they were): As the creator for the option, I considered it an extension of the blade option; I forgot to write it as such, and was called in to cover a shift so never got to better clarify, but it was my original intention from the start. That coupled with @Look to the Left's understanding and friendliness to that kind of voting made me think it'd be fine.

I also don't appreciate the marginalizing polarization of "majority/minority" when it was literally a 1 vote off measure no matter how you swing it, but regardless I already said I accept the computer vote, so I don't see why we we need to drag this on.

Alright so I've skimmed the thread with the speed of...I dunno, a tired idiot.
Why couldn't we just have all three?

It seems pretty solid to me.

I object to settling a vote that isn't a long standing tie with dice, it feels unfair to all the other voters.
I detest counting the late-comers as its own technicality, but clearly that's not the point:
I, personaly, feel the opposite. They are participates in the quest as well, should their vote not count? If they are too late to vote, then why should it not be too late for you to clarify your own? I understand you had RL stuff from preventing you from doing so, but the same applies to just about everyone else.

I also didn't like that the GM vowed to your opinion when you were the only objecting, Rex didn't say anything, for example, but there isn't much I can do about that.

I am not just dropping this because I want to ensure it will not happen with other votes.

Primarily by precedent here in this quest with a varied vote style is properly included with a bit of clarification, but once the votes are locked they aren't changed. It's different precedent of clarifying a vote that is already in and making an entirely new one after the call (or making it up, ex if you argued that grappling hook votes count as blade votes).
