Another thing The metal Sculptures means we make our own hours and dont need to worry about a boss or someone of the like getting on our backs
Alright. I've almost finished the next post when Sonya gets home. I just need someone to roll for Mystic Arts.
As for why... don't worry about it.
Correct. It's more than just clicking on the first link in a google search. You'll get general information for free. Alias, powers (or gear), general types of crimes, which neighborhood they're generally seen. That's public information for the known villians. As for my choices, I'm going to assume that 'looking up' villains entails more than an internet search, because that taking a whole action is absurd.
Yeah, that's fair. Information is key, running into a fight not knowing what your opponent can throw at you is also known as 'losing'.Correct. As for what you'll do and what you can find will depend on some rolls down the line.
At 5:30 this morning, a driver opened fire onto another motorist on Highway 86, only to be thwarted by a third party. The shooter was apprehended by the police, who arrived onto the scene shortly after the altercation.
Juan Lara, who is wanted for several counts of murder an allegedly a member of the criminal organization, The Coalition opened fire on another motorist identified as Brian Levin, who was stated to be a witness, expected to testify against Melissa Braunson, a known associate of Lara. At this time, the police have not offered any confirmation as to the reason for as to why Lara opened fire.
After a high-speed chase, a third party, who was identified as a male wearing full plate armor and carrying a sword and shield, rode onto the scene on an old motorcycle. The unidentified male then stabbed Pena through his windshield, forcing his vehicle off of the road.
What followed was a brief confrontation, in which Pena manifested his Power, increasing in size and presumably strength. However, he was unable to penetrate the unidentified male's armor, who then called down a lightning bolt in order to incapacitate Pena. The unidentified male then fled the scene before police could arrive.
The police currently have Lara, as well as his son, Matthew Lara, who was in the vehicle, in custody. The police have also released a statement requesting that if the unidentified male turns themselves over for questioning in regards to the incident.
The police have issued a statement calling for this possible Vigilante to turn themselves in, offering immunity from prosecution in exchange for their testimony. Brian Levin could not be reached for comment.
Hartford has long been the home of an underfunded and undermanned police force, even taking into account the number of Heroes that assist them in combating crime. However, crime is still rampant in the city. At 6:00 AM, Juan Lara, a hitman, opened fire at another motorist Brian Levin on Highway 86. However, he was stopped by what appears to be a vigilante.
With police, and hero Starhammer, still minutes away, an unidentified individual in a suit of armor and riding a motorcycle stopped Lars's vehicle, a 2007 Ford Marshall SUV. Afterwards, Lara and the Vigilante engaged in a brief fight which left Juan unconscious, and is now in a prison hospital suffering from second degree burns, as well as a broken foot.
"I don't see fighting on the streets that often." Said Franklin Waters, a resident of Haven's Way, and witness to the altercation. "At first, I thought the guy was struck by lightning"
The unidentified individual fled the scene before police could arrive, fueling speculation that they may be a vigilante, as it's unlikely that one would don a suit of armor, unless they were participating in the Hartford Society of Creative Anachronism.

Last night, one of the oldest recognized vigilantes that are still operating in Hartford has been arrested.
Deprived, now known as Julius Simmons, a 52 year old resident of the Trentwood neighborhood in Hartford. Ten years ago, he gained notoriety for not only his brazen attacks on the criminal element, but also by doing so without powers or equipment, preferring to rely on his skills, and on enemy equipment found at the location of his attacks.
In recent months, he has become less and less active. It has been speculated that it was because of various injuries, as well as advanced age. Whatever the reason, Deprived's story came to an end for now, as the police raided his home and arrested him in a late night raid at his home.
With Deprived arrested, that leaves a question as to what comes next for the vigilante community. Several established names have already started becoming more active, with more just starting their vigilante careers, likely in hopes of capturing some of the spotlight. For instance, at least one Vigilante burst onto the scene by calling a bolt of lightning that could be seen for miles, when fighting their first criminal, a hitman names Juan Pena.
The police are still questioning Deprived as to the full extent of his activities, as well as possible accomplishes, though there is no word as to how cooperative he is.
An immunity deal, acknowledgement that we put our guy in the prison hospital, and the understanding that vigilantes tend to get nabbed.
Seems like the law and order crowd is sending a message of their own.
Does seem kinda dirty pool to arrest someone after they've more or less retired. Then again, cops in a supers setting probably have to play a little dirty if they're going to live through stuff. It's kinda a garbage thing to do, but I don't exactly blame them?Pretty much.
The police's general policy for new Vigilantes is "Play by our rules, and we'll look the other way. Just don't do it again. Or at least go legit. If you don't, well, you don't want to end up in a cell"
