FLAY ALLSTER: also ASAP, right now her dad is alive, and hopefully we keep him that way (iirc he was one of the moderate voices in the Earth Alliance's upper echelons) but that would just make THAT much more dedicated to the cause. She's seen the HORRIBLE side of Blue Cosmos first hand. Also I just wanna give her a second chance, though I'm a very firm Kira/Lacus shipper. Seriously Awakening her just has upsides in my opinion.
No. Flay has no usefull skills and awakening her means awakening a girl traumatized by her horrific death in the final battle of mobile suit gundam seed. She's happier and better off left unaware, with us stepping in to ensure her fathers survival and prevent her from ever going down the path of Newtype Genocide or Seductress.
Murrue: ASAP, we have (its VERY HARD to gauge time in any gundam show, SERIOUSLY) potentially days if not weeks of hard travel to get ANYWHERE in the Earth Sphere, whilst being pursued. An Experienced captain is a must, nuff said.
Murrue is already an experienced captain. Your forgetting an important part of this awakening business.
"But you mentioned the stability of the timeline," Cagalli inquired, seeking further clarification.
"Your world cannot withstand an excessive amount of external power. My intervention, including bringing you back into the flow of time, falls under the category of outside power. By association, the same applies to any future knowledge brought back, including yours," Aplodia explained, "However, any organic development thereafter would be regarded as natural processes of the world, and thus would not disrupt its stability."
Aplodia continued, "To this end, while you may divulge information from the future, if anyone realizes the true nature of the information source, either through your disclosure or their accurate deduction based on familiarity of the subject, it may trigger their own awakening. This would occupy your world's capacity to withstand outside influences."
"It sounds like it is something to be avoided."
"As long as it remains within the capacity of the timeline, there shall be no ill effects. The awakening of others might even be beneficial, to you and your cause."
We have a limit to awakenings without destabilizing the timeline. Other than Kira we should awaken at most 3 others, of which Murrue isn't one of them. We can settle for nudging things in the direction we want when we can do so without revealing the source of our information.
Mu: ASAP. he would EAT Le Creuset alive, even with just the Zero, seriously. Also awakening Murrue but not Mu would be torture for her.
Another one I don't think we need to awaken. He can do his part without being awakened and remembering the time he spent as a brainwashed baddy for the federation would be painful for him.
Batarle: Can wait till we get to Alaska HQ at the latest, but she'd smell something was up with the others if they're awakened, She's a very smart woman. (step on me mommy) anyways!
I actually think we should awaken her sooner. Not immediately, but before we reach earth for certain. She has the poker face to hide her feelings and could be useful for guiding the others without accidentally awakening them.
Murdock: ASAP, he makes the dream work, seriously. Him and his crew are miracle workers.
Mirallia/Tolle
I don't think Murdock or either of these two have any critical information to contribute, and murdock and his team can do their job fine without being awakened.
Lacus: AS SOON AS WE GET OUR HANDS ON HER, FUCKING HELL. Do i even need to explain why. Girl's probably got 30 in Diplomacy as a base line! (also I heard somewhere somewhen she might have had a hand in designing the Freedom, might have been a fever dream)
Lacus has plenty of reasons to help us without being awakened and given her lack of a significant role until well into the later half of season 2, I don't see any reason to awaken her rather than guide her instead.
Athrun's father had Lacus's fathers company design the freedom and justice gundams. Lacus herself has nothing to do with it.
Athrun: soonest we might get the chance is the potentially not happening Lacus hand over? unless cagalli gets to Aegis first and manages to surprise him and capture him? Else theres Orb (seriously, we could head straight for orb's weapons factory Space Station)
Agreed that Athrun should be awakened, just not sure when or how. We'll see how things pl
Walfeld: if we follow teh cannon route, we grab him asap, hopefully before the boss fight that ends with his wife? dying. Walfeld is amazing, but him AND Aisha probably would be TERRIFYING.
If we run into him, definitely. Otherwise, save that last one for a later awakening depending on who we think we need based on how things change.
Again, let's try to keep the number of awakened people under 6, for a good bit of wiggle room between us and any accidental awakenings pushing us over the threshold for timeline instability.
