I was ignoring this because my problems with SEED aren't ones that can be fixed with time travel.
However they can be fixed by Cagalli being the main character and piloting the Gold Frame.
I guess the question at this point is what do we want to get out of the Heliopolis attack. A one woman hijack or counter-hijack operation seems implausible, especially since I don't think we want to murder any of Cagalli's past-future friends on the ZAFT Nepotism Squad. If our goal is to keep Kira safe or out of the cockpit, that's another thing.

Destroy the Gundams before they leave the colonies. It keeps orb as the sole controller as Gundam and with the natural is the strongest military.

Unfortunately, this is not the main issue. Alliance is bad, but what enabled them is on the way. We need to deal with Rau Le Creuset. He's going to need to be taken care of. The best bait for him is Mu and that means we need the scenario the go somewhat the same way. I need to really consider what the vote plan should look like. Maybe a write in.

Points to consider though.
The original command staff and pilots for Archangel all die from the port bombings. As cold as it might be, i dont care to see any of them aboard, because why mess with a winning formula, and a few of them are probably Blue Cosmos, or very sympethatic to their views. We do NOT need that aboard with possible coordinator civilians, Kira most notably. Never know when someone might catch on early that the Ultimate Coordinator Program wasnt purged successfully as Murata Azreal hoped. I know its unlikely, but the die might roll and fuck us on this.

Basically two plans: We either go balls to the wall and do it via Wonder Twin Power. Or we go through stations of cannon. Each choice has its benefits and downsides. Derail has the risk of making our future knowledge kinda useless. Tipping off the wrong people and is in general kinda batshit. If it works we might save a lot of lives, however some of those lives might be harboring some blue and pure thoughts in their hearts and minds. Cannon... Well... we keep to the stations and hopefully try to avoid Heliopoli's destruction. Most likely the right people will survive... hopefully. But our future knowledge will be more spot on. The bad thing is a lot of people are gonna die.

Do we need the incomplete OS? Isn't Kira already working on it or woukd this speed things up?

I think saving the colony is impossible. So the next thing should be getting Kira out safely, get a mobile suit, destroy all others if possible, if we can't destroy them at least make sure strike and it's schematics or natural OS don't get to the alliance ( this is more a long term thing).
Even if we can't stop the colonies destruction we can try to save more people. Warning them comes with the chance it saves people we dont like.

My plan is to sneak back into the headquarters and get the astray in the chaos. Due to our visit we know where to go and some dcs have been lowered.

Due to the dcs lowering I want to attempt this, also rather let Zaft get all 4 OG mobile suits then allow Allience to get one. It's better to have a one sided conflict then allow both sides extremists to use the long war to rise. Gives us time to arm orb or use the Alliences loses to force them under us.

We can save more people, it might blow up in our faces later if someone knows we knew and did nothing but this keeps things steady. Kills a bunch of ranked officers at the cost of forgoing saving more civilians.

I don't think we should bring guns. Intrigue and the distraction from the attack should be our cover. MC rolling up with a gun to the front entrance makes it more likely for her to get caught, excuse or no excuse.

The Archangel comes out from the asteroid end on the O'Neil Cylinder into the interior and the original command staff is in the control room directly next to with her. The area is zero G so it's prolly connected to the port but not part of the port.
For the original 5 GAT-X pilots, they're on the transport ship with Mu now, approaching Heliopolis.
I totally did not forgot about the blue and pures and only remembered the Orb ATC (STC?)

The Wiki says its got the AI, Trojan then uses it to counter Gay later on. But to support your point, the wiki says the 5 astray frames are initially IDENTICAL. Verdict: Unclear.
Poor guys are gonna die to Athrun and his Boy Band. Unless there is a way to avert their fates.
Get them into the Gundams early and deny ZAFT.

Morgenröte worked on the OS for much longer than Kira with two days. But they're kind of at a bottleneck now. Mechanics wise Morgenröte OS is a +3 and KiraCE71 two day OS is a +2. If Kira get his hands on the former, it would greatly accelerate the development.
Green Frame's advanced combat support AI is an improved version of the A.I. system on the Strike Rouge, so it doesn't exist yet.
Green Frame and Mirage Frame are there but unassembled. The Green Frame is not even painted in green yet. :-D

I think if Kira doesn't got to the earth forces then Ramis is dead. He called out and helped her avoid the shooter fro, behind. Which allowed her to keep fighting taking out a few more Zaft. Kira also stopped athrun from stabbing and finishing her after he shot her in the arm.
So we'd have to hope to get our hands on an Astray and head then off outside. I'd rather us go and destroy the three captured units before they can properly boot up. With Athruns friend killed in the shoot out he can only take one, which is likely the strike and the strike without its gear is weakened.

Hm...I was going to recommend one of the other bennies for better future research options, but getting the natural use OS as fast as possible might be best then, since our current count of Coordinators we can even possibly count as friendly MS pilots is 1 Doofus Brother.

This is more of a just-in-case measure to get a leg up in the battle to come if we fuck up a Diplo DC with Kira. Oh, Turbo said it would help, okay we might really need it then... Okay, I really need to sleep, it's literally 3 am. Let me whip up a quick plan.
The colony itself is fairly saveable... Well, we can at least avoid total collapse and give Kira the sword and not the Launcher... hopefully... Then Try to force the battle outside the colony rather than have it collapse due to misfired missiles/exploding MS.

Basically canon but with the Natural OS. I think once the break in the battles comes we hurry for the Astray's... Gold will most likely be gone tho.
