Gundam Crucible - [An AU Universal Century Quest]

Sorry, I wasn't clear - I mean Cybele being a second sniper to force them to split their attention.
Oh! Yeah, I didn't get that, because there isn't a second anti-ship rifle for Cybele to use. The Modified Pegasus is on a shakedown run and lacks supplies and equipment. The only reason we have the Anti-Ship Rifle is because Eris showed up with one.

That tech doesn't exist outside of Gundam 00.

Well, no one made it, but all components for this are in UC.
Bits/Funnels/Fin Funnels exist.
Nu got beam shield prototype thing in funnels.
One thing I am not sure of if megaparticle-type beam sabers exist yet or all of beam sabers are I-field + hot plasma. First thing will make hypothetical saber bit viable anti-ship/anti-I-field weapon, having a mass to push through and then way to disintegrate armor, second would melt said armor slowly and would work against mobile suits.

This plan feels a little unrealistic to me. I don't think we'll be taking out our deadly pursuer in the first engagement following leaving our destroyed colony. Even crippling both the opponent gundams is a tall ask, because Cybele is still relatively new to combat and has to adjust to the modifications. Mainly I feel like your trying to do to much and the plan is a bit complicated to pull off in Cybele's first proper sortie.

Say it with me.

Newtype. Destroyer. System.

Our job is literally only to be an annoying fly.

I normally don't endorse votes

But I just wanna say, I like plan Fiver III.

Lol. Well I'm not a mobile suit tech guru so I'll take you word for it. My Narrative instincts say an unexpected complication saves the Magellan from annihilation. I guess we'll find out.
Realistically they disengage the second they lose access to their funnels to force us into a poor engagement scenario. The Woundwort plus Banshee can't safely engage outside of the Zedah's defensive ring range.

Jury rig a respec of the Woundwort using a pair of ReZEL legs for extra thrusters and cannabalizing some Defenser Units to make a Cross Thrust Binder for mobility (Shoulder and hip hard-points). Re-arm using the biggest cannon that the ship has available, or failing that, a Beam Magnum. Set the shield booster rifle on the backpack to add additional thrust. The funnels unfortunately can go unless they fit on the shoulder mounts. There's probably a second seat booster somewhere around here so a second pilot can act as fire control. Whatever remaining hard points can go to missiles.

This won't work. The reason the Woundwort's thigh sections are so large is because its generators are housed in its legs instead of its torso. Replacing the legs would require installing a new generator and replacing most of the internals. No way in hell we have the time for something like that. Even ignoring the leg issue these changes are going to screw up the Waverider mode (which can have explosive results, see Gaza-C) which will ultimately slow us down and you know take a long time.

We aren't replacing the legs.

What? I took "Jury rig a respec of the Woundwort using a pair of ReZEL legs for extra thrusters" to mean replacing the legs.
No, we only need the shin sections, where the ReZELs thrusters are located. The ReZEL is a internal frame unit with its shin section + feet basically set into five sections. We need the side and back section of the shin and potentially the foot (I actually am not sure if the ReZELs foot has verniers, if it doesn't its a waste of time since we aren't intending to fight on anything). The thigh unit, so to speak, is useless to us (for precisely the reason you just mentioned).

[X] Plan Fiver III
-[X] Jury rig a respec of the Woundwort using a pair of ReZEL legs for extra thrusters and cannabalizing some Defenser Units to make a Cross Thrust Binder for mobility (Shoulder and hip hard-points). -[X] Play hit and run distraction and spotter for Eris. The main goal, contrary to everything, is actually to draw the Gundam Delta Kai and Mass Production Nu onto the battlefield. Afterwards, disengage and allow the Banshee to funnel hijack. If Riddhe needs Sicilia to do so, then he gets Sicilia.
-[X] After the defenders are appropriately crippled, Heat Blade directly to the Megallan's secondary bridge, convert to claw mode to rip open the armour, and open fire with the Megaparticle Cannon straight inside it. Repeat till something critical goes.

[X] Plan Long Slap with Misdirection Prime
-[X] The plan to use the Anti-ship Rifle is probably the best, but the enemy mobile suits will do all they can to foul up her shots once they realise the danger. Using the sortie-distraction part of the Misdirection plan might buy enough time for her to get several shots off before the enemy can engage, and when the enemy mobile suits break away to attack her they'll leave themselves vulnerable to a pincer flank attack.

[X] Plan Long Slap with Misdirection
-[X] If the Banshee sorties as an initial misdirection while we snipe in the Woundwort from a different angle, we might be able to draw their attention away from a vital point (perhaps even an I-field emitter!) on the Magellan and thus have a better chance for the plan to succeed.

Can Woundwort actually take Beam Magnum or will it tear limbs off?

Better question, will the jury rigged modifications to the woundworts fairly lopsided frame stand up to the intended velocity and maneuvers involved in carrying out this plan. I look forward to the answer, whatever it may be.
The Woundwort-Rah says hi. The frame can take that.

Can Woundwort actually take Beam Magnum or will it tear limbs off?
I'm pretty sure it'll tear the limb off. There's a reason the 'if necessary' was there.

Given it won by exactly one vote, it seems people would have as little faith in it as you do.

It won by two votes. The Long Slap voters split their votes between two different write in sub votes and the original Long Slap so your plan was the only plan with more then two votes. You could also say it had twice as may votes as the next most popular plan. You got three people onboard for your plan, or counting yourself 40% of quest voters.

It's definitely a plan that mirrors the crazy things the Titans canonically did with the Woundwort.

Two people and me, otherwise it would have been a tie between prime and fiver. What can I say, sometimes I vote crazy. We'll see if it's fox like or Kycilia grade soon.

On the topic of NT-D, the thingy that overpowers newtype wireless control of remote weapons.

First hardware capable of funneljack was MSZ-006-P2/3C Zeta Gundam 3P2 Type with Psycho Neutralizer, and it flew in UC 87.
Furthermore, MP Nu is Psychoframe suit.

I give even points on NT-D funnel disruption being problematic or impossible, because Riddhe isn't that powerful a Newtype.

The idea that Riddhe is a Newtype at all is something only present in animation. In the novels, he explicitly wasn't.
