Oh wow in my city I only paid for 40k rupiah (3 euro give or take) granted it was weekdays so it was much cheaper but in some places I could even get cheaper price.
I kinda feel other members of the Guardians are left out in this film, but it still good enough so...
Favorite Scene:
Sisters trying to kill each other then take a step to reconcile.
The button
Breaking out of imprisonment is also one of the good ones.

I really liked the film myself and felt no characters were left out in the film.

Hot damn, this movie's good.

Characters and subplots felt a bit disjointed early on, but it all came together at the end. If we don't get many feel posts about you-know-who in the chat lounge, I'll be disappointed in Marvel fandom.

Also, fuck the Ego vs Peter fight. Seriously, its Guardians of the Galaxy, not Peter Quill and friends. While he is meant to be the main focal character, his response to the Ego Power should have been the same as his response to the Gem... share it with his Family. Not have stupid out of place Man of Steel style punch ups without the scenery such fights deserve. Each of the team members could have done something different and cool with 'the light' while smacking down Sovereign ships and fighting an entire planet.
Wholeheartedly disagree.
Guardians had a pretty big fight with Ego's tentacles, and the climax was personal for Peter so he had to go alone on Ego. Besides, that doesn't make any sense from in-universe standpoint - Ego totally overpowered everybody, and the light was accessible only to Groot.

Also, punches didn't come out of nowhere - it was built up throughout the movie that Peter can do shit like this.

The film was very good, how much are you willing to bet fix it fics will be written in regards to,
the death at the end won't say who on here so it isn't spoiled.

Jesus CHRIST, Yondu! You're almost scarier than Darth Vader with that arrow of yours. And I say 'almost' only because Vader might be able to just squish you with his mind. That whole damn arrow montage was almost scarier than the hallway scene!

Yeah that was a good scene, not scary as those mutineers got what they deserved. I especially liked the Mary Poppins joke in the film.

.... Think about what he did for a second. No wall can stop him, no effort of running or dodging will save you for long. He doesn't have to look at you to kill you, he doesn't even have to spare more than a thought. Faster than you can move, faster than you can think, excruciatingly painful. That's just horrifying. He was like a fricking bibbity-bobbity-blue Jason Vorhees.

Like I said, it was nothing those mutineers didn't deserve. I think GOTG Vol 2 was just as good as the first GOTG film in my opinion.

For me it was less scary and more, "why is no one shooting him?" I liked the scene regardless but c'mon, you know who he is an what he's can do.

The almost-total lack of tension is probably the most baffling part about this movie, but I find myself disliking how conventional it is more.

Was not ready for the death at the end. Deaths like that always hit me hard

My thoughts on it. I loved how action was often minimized, it was a cool stylistic choice. The first fight, most of the fight inside Ego, etc. I thought it was pretty cool, focusing on people > events. Just my opinion. Don't know if I liked it more than 1, but I liked it a lot.

By the time people realize that they need to shoot him, they are already dead. No, really, that thing moves wickedly fast. Like, you can watch it move in seeming real time while in the middle of a slowmo shot. The only guys who had a chance to shoot him were the first two, after that it was all over but the inelegant blubbering of the damned.

Yeah that arrow is fast, look at the scene from the first one again.

By the time it comes back to him, the first one it hit is still standing and only falls down afterwards along with everyone else it hit and the Necrocraft.

Pretty much every plot beat is visible from a mile off, and every call back for every joke is almost equally as predictable cf Drax and his nipples.
They didn't even bother to have Peter follow through on his desire to make weird shit!

Still laughed occasionally though.
