[x] Prepare immediately and head to the front gates.
You get out of bed and immediately slip into a robe. Enough time has been spent on other matters. Now is the day you return to your journey, and you cannot delay. That means you are going to have to prepare quickly.
You head to the baths. A servant is waiting there for you with towels and fresh bandages. He removes the old bandages and cleans your wound again. The injury has scabbed over nicely, but you can already tell it will leave a scar. But that doesn't bother you much. This will merely be one of the many you have gained in your life so far. A large one, true, but it is nothing to get upset about.
After you have washed yourself, you dry off and let the servant put yet more of that terrible smelling cream on your stomach. You're honestly getting more than a little tired of having this stuff smeared over your body, but it does seem to keep infection away. That makes the ordeal worth it, for infection has killed more soldiers than any blade. And that would be an awfully embarrassing way to die.
You dry off and let the servant wrap fresh bandages around your wound. Chances are good that you'll only need it for another day or so, so you'll not have to put up with this for very long. Crab Samurai tend to heal quickly, a useful talent considering the harshness of your duties.
You check out the window as you make your way back to your room. The sun has risen higher, and you frown. You don't have a lot of time, certainly not any for a proper breakfast. You'll have to eat on the road, then.
You put on some fresh clothes and don your armor, taking care when setting the breastplate to not aggravate the still healing gash beneath your bandages. The pain has reduced to a dull ache, but it's still best not to strain yourself too much until it has properly healed.
Your weapons in their proper place and your traveling pack in hand, you head downstairs and toward the gates. As you thought, the caravan is gathering there in the courtyard. The servants and Ashigaru are stowing things in the wagon and saddling the horses. Yasuki Goro is already sitting atop his, looking eager to be off.
Shasa, meanwhile, is overseeing the servants. She, too, looks ready to leave. Shirou, meanwhile is meditating next to the wagon with his eyes closed, ignoring the world around him.
"Good morning, Hiruma Sosuke-san," Bayushi Mataru says to you as you step out from the gates. His hands are bandaged and splinted, and you can tell he's having to restrain himself from wincing as he moves. "I was hoping to catch you before you left."
"Is that so?" you ask. "Please tell me what is on your mind, Bayushi Mataru-san."
The Bayushi Samurai frowns and looks to the side, and you get the feeling he is uncomfortable. He breathes deeply and exhales before bowing to you. It is a deep bow, and you can't help but be a little surprised at the suddenness of such a display.
"I wish to make amends," Mataru says, still bowing. "When you gave your battle cry during the fight with the Lost one, I was overtaken in the moment. But, in truth, I have no right to the words." He grimaces. "Hiruma Shasa-san is of your Clan, thus the call is only proper for her. Shirou-san is of a temple founded under the name of the son of Hida-kami, so he too has connection to your proclamation. I, however, do not. It is not my place, and I give my deepest apologies for my presumption. I can only hope this does not darken your view of me."
