From Stone to the Stars

So Our ability to traverse the land and communicate with our settlements are VASTLY improved. We won't have to worry about things like cultural separation as much as before

[X] [Raid] Yes (Raid: Hundred Bands)

We should finish the Hundred Band off, a repeat performance of what we did against the Fingers. We suffered immensely from letting them recover before, let's not make the same mistake twice.

That said, the Peacekeepers are handling our Burrow Builder problem for us, but for how long? We need to focus on Trade after this, and that includes whoever will replace the Hundred Band. I don't expect to be attacked immediately, and showing off our goods and making them dependent on us for them would do wonders for our security.

Happy with any of these winning. Just not the raiding.

Can I ask why? The Hundred Band recovered and trounced us once before because we didn't burn their hovels to the ground when we had the chance, they can do so again if we let them. Wiping them out would also help us a lot in increasing our reputation with their enemies, possibly helping open trade relations with whoever moves in.

It also sends a strong message, to be at war with the People means a fight to the bitter end. That's not a very productive way of acquiring our goods when we can instead trade it for theirs.

Said in the update itaelf. We can have the hostile but weak Hundred Bands there hating us...or we could smash them and deal with the hostile but fresh and strong replacement

There's a possibility that whoever would replace the Hundred Band would be hostile, but it's not a certainty.
Would the tribe that came to replace the Hundred Bands be any better? Unlikely, Kaspar thought. They would just be replacing one, weakening neighbour with ones that were surging in power. On the flip side, if the People could claim the lands of the Hundred Bands, they could use trade to gain favour with their neighbours and then leverage that into a web of alliances.
The Hundred Band weren't even hostile to us in the first place, and our war with them started over an misunderstanding and poor communication, things we can avoid by pursuing diplomacy.

If whoever replaces the Hundred Band isn't any better, that's ok. It won't mean instant war like our first meeting with the Hundred Band didn't result in war, we can still trade and co-exist somewhat peacefully. And as the update pointed out, what land we gain can be used to establish the Coalition we've been looking to make ever since the war with the Hundred Band started.

Its best we get rid of the hundred bands, we dont want a civilization close to us to gain strength in a hundred years from now then wage war with us again, best end this now. We can be more diplomatic with the next batch, also we can take the bands territory.

Song of Excellence
I wanted to make a joke relating to catching them all being their real test, but I failed to think of anything that didn't feel forced and stretched to an uncomfortable degree.
I want to be
The very best
Like no one ever was
To kill them is my real test
To raid them is my cause
I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Each trade good, to understand
The power that's inside

(Star and stone! Gotta kill em all!)

I'ts you and me
I know its my destiny

(Star and Stone!)

Oh! You're my best friend!
In a world we must defend!

(Star and Stone! Gotta kill em all!)

Our hearts so true
Our courage will pull us through
You teach me and I'll teach you

(Star and stone! Gotta kill em all!)

Gotta kill em all

Every challenge along the way
With courage I will face
I will battle every day
To claim my rightful place
Come with me, the time is right
There's no better team
Arm in arm, we'll win the fight
It's always been our dream

(Star and stone! Gotta kill em all)

It's you and me
I know its my destiny

(Star and Stone!)

Oh! You're my best friend!
In a world we must defend!

(Star and Stone! Gotta kill em all!)

Our hearts so true
Our courage will pull us through
You teach me and I'll teach you

(Star and stone! Gotta kill em all)

Gotta kill em all
Gotta kill em all

(Music solo)

Gotta kill em all

(Continuing solo)

Gotta kill em all
Gotta kill em all
Yeah!

(Continuing solo)

(Star and stone! Gotta kill em all)

It's you and me
I know it's my destiny

(Star and stone)

Oh! You're my best friend
In a world we must defend

(Star and Stone! Gotta kill em all!)

Our hearts so true
Our courage will pull us through
You teach me and I'll teach you

Star and stone! (Star and stone! Gotta kill em all)

Gotta kill em all!
